Now You Can Balance Your Work & Personal Life...

Who Else Wants A Happier, Balanced & More Productive Life?

Here’s a summary extracted from an extensive nationwide survey of what’s motivating us in 2012 (ranked by order of importance) in terms of  our work and life priorities:

#1. Grow business or get promotion.

#2. Improve relationships with friends and family.

#3. Eat healthier.

#4. Work out more.

#5. Work less.

(Source: Manta)

Notice anything strangely familiar in the above summary? You’re probably thinking “these priorities are pretty obvious so what’s the big news here?” Of course you want a promotion. Of course you want to eat healthier. But unlike every year before, today you have more responsibilities and less time to act on them. So while you are working harder than ever to grow your business or get that promotion – your priorities become unbalanced – you are probably shunning 4 (equally important) other areas of your life.

Face it. You weren’t born to just work. You need a life too. Finding the balance between success at work and success at personal life is a challenge that can take more time and energy than you might have right now. The biggest complaint I hear time and time again in my Psychology practice is “I’m too anxious and it’s affecting my work and personal life”. This anxiety often stems from an imbalance between work and personal life.

So this is what I’ve done. I’ve taken my 30 years of experience in helping individuals, business owners and CEOs manage work and life priorities and put the best, most actionable elements in a concise 29 page PDF eBook.

In just under 4 weeks after going through ‘Achieve Work-Life Balance’, you’ll be able to:
Better deal with work issues and stressful situations Get priorities straight and spend more quality time with family and friends Achieve clarity and more success with career and personal goals

“I think we can often forgo family, health, friends and life to try and over reach our actual financial and ego needs, when all we really need is to balance our lives, self and spirit…This is why I love this publication…. It is easy to read, understand, and reflect upon…..”
Simon White, CEO at Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce QLD

Chances are that you’ve looked around the Internet (and maybe even at the trusty old bookstore) for information about how to achieve work-life balance. You may have found yourself more confused than enlightened. There are so many ‘gurus’ who’re dishing out advice, it’s hard to figure out who to listen to.

Tell me, if you had a really bad rash, whose advice would you trust more – an Internet forum poster’s or a doctor’s? It’s a no brainer. You’d believe the doctor more. The same way, who would you ask for advice about achieving work-life balance – an Internet guru or a registered psychologist with 30 years of experience? If you’d choose the latter, you should keep reading….

“At last, a simple explanation to a well-worn phrase ‘work life balance’. Tric Gibson has got it right with this factual hard hitting e-book. The 10 Un-Commandments of Work-Life Balance will hit a nerve with everyone.”
Geoff Curtis, Director, IN DEMAND CORPORATE TRAINING

AN EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK:
Avoiding something important on a regular basis never solves the issue.

Running away and burying the pain in your work just hammers the pain deeper, then you run your old pattern again requiring more avoidance to cope with the cycle which becomes more destructive until something cracks.

Let’s look at some of the feelings and symptoms that are very common when you get out of Work/Life Balance in a significant way and/or for quite a while.

You might feel :

Loss of control. You feel like your life is a boat without a captain. Others have control over you, your time, your money, and ultimately, your happiness.

Underachievement. Despite your best efforts you might feel that you still have not reached a satisfactory standard of achievement in whatever endeavours you take on.

Anxiety. You feel deeply unsettled and worry about current and future issues – especially underachievement at work.

Lack of Motivation. You just can’t get yourself to be driven to complete or even sometimes begin work that you know you should do.

Frustration. This can arise from a sense of being stopped short of your desired level of productivity or goal. What stops you can be the result of any of the other emotional states described here.

Lack of Confidence. This really translates to ‘I don’t think I can…’ or ‘I’m not good enough to…’ or ‘I’m not worthy…’. This has derailed and will derail many very capable and intelligent men and women.

Think of getting this book as an investment in your life. You might already have fixed term deposits or retirement plans to invest in your retirement. But what about your life RIGHT NOW? You need to live, don’t you? You want to live, don’t you? Too many people are teetering on the brink of breakdown from imbalances in their work and personal life. And then it happens… even to the best of us. I asked one of my business coaching clients, a pharmacist (who wishes to remain anonymous), to give his perspective on the whole work-life issue issue:
“Because of my job, I naturally end up meeting a lot of elderly people. Some of them have had very successful work lives…. A lot of times, their biggest regret (now) is that they didn’t look after their health as much when they were working, and they’re paying for it now. Same goes for family life. The previously ‘busy career people’ also now have the flakiest children because they didn’t spend much time with them when they were younger. Not a good situation to be in after all your hard work, but that’s how it ends up.”

“I found the 10 Uncommandments of Work-Life Balance very easy to relate to with a number of very practical ways to assess where your personal work/life balance is at…. perfect for someone who is feeling overwhelmed and is looking for help but does not want to have to wade through a weighty book full of theory and complex solutions. And Tric is the perfect person to be writing this book.”

I am a Registered Psychologist in Australia (our fees are very similar to the US and UK psychologists). If you came to me to get the same advice found in this book, you could be investing anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars, depending on the number of sessions you need. Then there’s the time you’d have to take out of your work day to travel etc.

Mind you, our personal sessions are of immense value, but not everyone can manage face to face sessions. So, I’m giving you some of my best advice for the price of a basic lunch (see below). Now your choice is so easy. It’s in the book. You can achieve work-life balance now.

Oh, one more thing… if you’re not going to follow the steps in this book and take real action, tell someone else about it – it’s full of valuable information and we all know someone just waiting to know how to get a grip on their work-life balance. BUT if you are ready to get work-life balance….
