ONE CONSCIOUSNESS -- There is one universal consciousness from which
the Universe arises. All mind and spirit, including mind and spirit of
human beings, are part of this One Consciousness.
The one consciousness is creative and the source of all things.
Religions refer to this creative source of universe and life as God.
Most spiritual teachers understand and teach this today.
Many scientists, especially quantum physicists and life scientists,
also understand that universal consciousness, at some level, is the
_causal_ source of life (rather than an emergent property of complex
matter as materialists think).
WHOLENESS -- The Universe, Life, God, time, space, matter, energy,
and all things (living and non-living) are part of one wholeness
because they all arise from and exist within One Consciousness. In
other words, all things and all beings are one with and part of God.
Most major religions and spiritual teachers agree on this principle
at the core, but they may vary hugely in how they express it
theologically and, especially, how they base their teachings and rules
to the religion's followers. Our day-to-day experience tells us that
we are separate from each other and from God, not one with each other
and God. You must look within to find wholeness.
It takes spiritual development and awakening to discover the
wholeness underneath the surface of life. And, unfortunately, most
religions tend not to guide the average follower towards an awakening
that would enable a true understanding.
FLOW OF LIFE -- The wholeness of the Universe and Life is not static,
not mechanical, not random (although there is definitely chaos) - but,
rather, it is a FLOW. We commonly refer to this as the "flow of life",
but most people do not understand that it is a fundamental _and
powerful_ characteristic of the Universe and of Life.
The process of manifesting the physical Universe creates this flow,
but you could say that it actually arises from the flow of universal
consciousness itself.
Without flow, the Universe and Life could not exist. It is _flow_
that creates time and space, allows for change and evolution and
living beings, and enables the One Consciousness, through sentient
beings like ourselves, to experience the unfolding of human life in
its infinite variations.
Understanding and applying the three foundational principles is very
powerful in the living of life. AND it will move a person much more
rapidly on the path to success in life and to wholeness and spiritual
awakening!
REASON #2 - CONSCIOUS CHOICE MAKING
CONSCIOUS CHOICE MAKING -- The book and audio program are presented
in terms of seven spiritual choices that need to be made (brought into
conscious awareness). Without bringing our choices into our conscious
awareness, we make many of our choices unconsciously, without our full
attention, or out of habit.
But more importantly, through our thoughts and choice making we are
interpreting our experience of our life - in fact, we are creating
what we think of as the "reality" of our lives. And we are the ones
giving meaning to those events and experiences.
An event is not a simple "fact" and interpretable in only one way -
just ask multiple people involved in almost any event, no matter how
simple or complex the event is. Their interpretations can be hugely
different, with one person "seeing" it in a completely positive light
and feeling good about it, where another person may see it in negative
terms and have highly negative emotions about the event.
Conscious choice making is a valuable skill that is taught and
practiced throughout the _Seven Spiritual Choices_ course!

TIPS FOR APPLYING THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL CHOICES -- In the book and

choices. For each choice, I describe what that choice is all about.
The descriptions of the choices are stated in terms of how it relates
to a person's life or to the flow of their life. But I follow the
description with advice on how the reader or listener can apply the
choice in their everyday life in simple and practical ways.
