FORMER COLLEGE LECTURER REVEALS THE SECRET SHORTCUTS TO ACADEMIC
SUCCESS

\"SO YOU WANT TO STUDY LESS AND GET BETTER GRADES?\"

BY LAWRENCE GREEN: MCA (BPSS), M.PHIL (PSYCHOLOGY), BCA (HONS)

Why do some students succeed so easily with college study while
others work really hard and struggle to get by? What if there was a
way to slash your study time and get better results? What would that
mean for your lifestyle and your future career?

My name is Lawrence Green and I would like to share my story with
you. It's a story of ambition, frustration, despair, discovery,
under-achievement, near failure, progress and finally, miraculous
achievement (or so it seemed to me at the time).

It's a story about the little-known study strategies I found along
the way and the discovery of THE ULTIMATE COLLEGE STUDY SECRET, the
secret that showed me how to achieve excellent grades in a fraction of
the time

But before I begin, let me ask you this. Have you ever:

* BEEN DISSATISFIED OR UPSET WITH YOURSELF because you knew you were
better than the grades you were getting?
* RESENTED STUDY because it was taking you away from what you really
wanted to do?
* Become CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR CAREER PROSPECTS because your grades
weren't as good as you had hoped they would be?

I have. The reality is that it took me several degrees, 10 years as a
lecturer and thousands of hours of study, teaching and research to
discover the true secrets to college success. Here is how it
happened…

1. THE REAL SECRET TO EXAM SUCCESS IS INSIDE YOU

HOW I LOOKED FAILURE IN THE EYE (AND SURVIVED)

It was my second year at college and I was standing outside the exam
room waiting to go in. I was taking the final exam for my first (and
last!) paper in Operations Research.

I had already failed both internal assessments and I now needed to
score a minimum of 70% in the final exam just to score a ‘C’ for
the paper. In the past, I could never seem to perform in exams (even
though I put every exam tactic I could find into practice).

So for this exam I should have been shaking in my boots but I
wasn’t. In fact I was surprisingly calm. And later, when my final
results came back, I discovered I had passed the course comfortably.

At first I was shocked. This was the first exam in my life where my
final course grade had actually improved as a result of my exam
performance – and not by a little but a lot! At first I couldn’t
work out why my exam performance was so much better. After all, I
hadn't changed any of my exam preparation tactics. So I became really
curious about why this was so

THE INNER SECRETS TO EXAM SUCCESS

So I started reading every book I could find on the psychology of
performance to try to understand how my mindset shaped my results.
Once I got past all the theoretical jargon, I began to see that there
is a pattern to how some students succeed under pressure while most
under-perform or ‘choke’.

And this is the reason why nearly all students, under-perform in
exams (when it is actually one of the easiest assessment types to do
well in). Here is what I discovered about the secrets to exam success:

* YOUR MINDSET MATTERS: Having the right exam tactics is important,
but IT IS THE MINDSET THAT YOU BRING to the application of those
tactics that really counts.

* YOUR SELF-BELIEF MATTERS: If you build strong belief in your
ability to succeed in exams, you can UNLOCK MORE OF YOUR POTENTIAL for
an outstanding result.
* YOUR COMPOSURE MATTERS: If you can be relaxed and composed under
pressure, you can MAKE BETTER EXAM STRATEGY DECISIONS and recall more
of what you know.

When I combined the right mindset with the right exam preparation
tactics, I was able to take charge of my tests and exams. And the
result THE COURSE MATERIAL ‘STUCK’ MORE QUICKLY I BECAME MUCH MORE
CONFIDENT IN WHAT I KNEW AND I  SPENT A LOT LESS TIME DOING EXAM
PREP.

Yes, I still needed to do some study, but I no longer needed to
perform more poorly in exams than my internal assessments. But the
funny thing was that there were even more powerful study secrets out
there. And as usual, it was my frustration that drove me to make my
next breakthrough

2. HOW I LEARNED TO REDUCE MY READING TIME BY 30-60%

AND STILL UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO

Early in my college career I tried to be a ‘good student’ and
read everything that the lecturers told me to read. But pretty soon I
would go crazy with the boredom of following the same mind-numbing,
‘goody good’, read-everything routine.

It just took too long when I wanted to be having fun doing other
things. But the real  problem happened when it came to exam prep. I
would look at my readings again and wonder if I had even read them at
all.

Even worse, after my exams ended It became crystal clear  that most
of the stuff that I had spent so much time reading and learning,
wasn’t even examined!

It just seemed such a huge waste of time and effort so I decided to
do something about it

THE COLLEGE READING BLUEPRINT

In short, I starting reading what the ‘experts’ had to say about
reading faster. But the books on speed-reading weren’t much use…
they talked about eye fixations, and sub-vocalization, and skimming
strategies, and frequent speed-reading practice.

Some of it was useful, but it seemed like they were suggesting a lot
more work just to read a bit faster. I just couldn't see the benefit.
So I went back and looked at academic writing again to see what really
mattered. It was then that I made some really interesting discoveries:

* IF YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT YOUR PROFESSORS ACTUALLY MEAN WHEN THEY
SAY 'READ THIS' YOU WILL KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH EFFORT TO PUT INTO EACH
READING (this will save you huge amounts of time because you will
quickly identify how much reading effort is really required).
* IF YOU READ IN THE WAY ACADEMICS WRITE… YOU CAN DRASTICALLY
REDUCE YOUR READING TIME because you can actually skip 60% of the
article or chapter and still zero in on the big ideas (most academic
writing is padding and can be ignored if you know how to clearly
identify the material that actually matters).
* IF YOU CAN BEAT THE BOREDOM OF ACADEMIC WRITING YOU WILL ONLY HAVE
TO READ IT ONCE TO MAKE IT MEMORABLE (so if you focus on creating a
way of making the books and articles more interesting as you read
them, you can make any article or book chapter “stick” the first
time around – no matter how boring).

And the result of all this? I managed to rEDUCE THE READING TIME FOR
COMPLEX READING BY 30% REDUCE THE READING TIME FOR PRE-LECTURE READING
BY 60%  AND gRASP THE BIG IDEAS MUCH MORE QUICKLY (AND WITHOUT HAVING
TO KEEP RE-READING THEM).

As a result, I finally felt like I was in charge of my reading and no
longer bored or trapped behind my desk Having found the secrets to
better reading, I thought that I had discovered the most important
study secrets, but I hadn't even scratched the surface of what was
actually possible

3. THE TRUTH ABOUT WHO REALLY GETS GOOD ESSAY GRADES

AND WHY IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW SMART YOU ARE!

When I became a post-graduate student, I took some part-time work as
a tutor and started marking undergraduate essays for the first time.

Some were a pleasure to mark, and others were pure torture. I was
getting grumpy. But then I noticed something really interesting.

While there was the odd person who just hadn’t done enough work,
there were dozens of others who had good ideas and had worked hard but
just couldn’t get them across in their essays…

As part of this course, every student also undertook a personality
profile that identified two key thinking styles. Basically, ‘Type
1’ people preferred structure, certainty, order, closure, and being
organized in their lives and their thinking; while ‘Type 2’ people
preferred to keep their options open, preferred flexibility over rules
and structure, and disliked being pinned down and predictable.

Out of curiosity, I compared the profile results for all my students
with their final essay grades and I was shocked by the result

HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR ESSAY WRITING

The ‘A’ grades were going to the students who were ‘Type
1’s’ and the lower grades were going to ‘Type 2’ students
(even the very bright 'Type 2s').And then I thought about the teaching
staff and realized that NEARLY ALL THE COLLEGE LECTURERS WERE HIGH
‘TYPE 1’S’ and that they expected their students to think and
write in the same way!

Why is this so important? Well:

* UNLESS YOU CAN DELIVER ASSIGNMENTS LIKE A ‘TYPE 1’
PERSONALITY, YOU ARE DOOMED TO MEDIOCRE GRADES no matter how much
research you do, or how creative your thinking is, or how committed
you are.

* If you can COMPLETE THE RESEARCH FOR YOUR ESSAY LIKE A STRONG 'TYPE
1 personality and you will SLASH YOUR ESSAY PREPARATION TIME. And this
will give you more time to sharpen up your ideas.
* IF YOU DRAFT YOUR ESSAY LIKE A STRONG 'TYPE 1 personality and you
will be able to KNOCK OUT YOUR ESSAY MUCH MORE QUICKLY. This means you
will be finished sooner and have more time for putting the kind of
finishing touches on your work that will allow you to get the best
possible grade.

So in my own course work I started writing all my assignments as if I
were an outstanding ‘Type 1’. This meant I was able to convey
intelligence and look like a ‘smart, organized, student’ with real
clarity of thought (even if I had to cut corners). And it was that
overall impression that shaped my final grade as much as my content. I
was also much more relaxed about the whole process of writing essays
because I new exactly what to do.

Sure my grades improved, but the best news was I was only doing a
fraction of the work. I WAS ABLE TO WRITE MY FIRST DRAFT IN A QUARTER
OF THE TIME AND MY SECOND DRAFT IN HALF THE TIME. AND I COULD ALSO ADD
SOME REAL POLISH TO MY ESSAY WITH WHATEVER TIME I HAD LEFT. BEFORE
LONG, I WAS ABLE TO KNOCK OUT A HIGH QUALITY 'A' ESSAY IN 3-5 DAYS.

The dramatic improvement in my writing really helped me as a student
and eventually, after I completing my thesis, I was invited to become
a lecturer. However, it wasn’t until after I decided to start
another degree that I discovered my next secret in how to study
effectively

4. HOW TO COMPLETE EXAM PREP & ESSAYS DURING YOUR LECTURE

AND STILL UNDERSTAND THE LECTURE MATERIAL

I have done a few crazy things in my time but this was probably the
craziest.

It was a few years after I had completed my first post-grad degree. I
decided to start another full-time degree at post-graduate level,
while working full-time. It put me under a huge amount of pressure
(and I burned out so I don't recommend it). But if I hadn’t done it
I would never have made my next discovery

Over the course of the semester I estimated I only had 12-15 hours
per week for my four subjects, including lectures (I told you it was
crazy). So I had to become a lot more efficient than before – I had
to find even smarter study solutions than anything I had tried before.
What little time I had was simply too important to waste.

So the first area I thought about was lectures (as most of the time I
had was going to be spent in lectures or doing assignments). And the
question I asked myself was this: “If it was possible for me to
complete my assignments and study for my exams during my lectures, how
might I do that?”

And the answer opened up a whole new possibility for college success

ESCAPING THE TRAP OF  LECTURE MEDIOCRITY

What I realized was that the majority of students completely waste
their lecture time. They go to lectures because they think they should
but it has never occurred to them that they can turn every lecture
into a powerful learning experience (and I had been just as guilty of
this as everybody else).

Now here's the thing it is absolutely possible to learn everything
you need to in a lecture and get other stuff done, it is just that
most students don't realize that this is an option.

Essentially, I created a study system where I could make the most of
the lecture, prepare for exams and progress my assignments all at the
same time. At first I thought I might be sacrificing the quality of my
learning, but I actually retained more of what was most important
(because my brain was more stimulated).

This is what it looked like:

* IF YOU PREPARE FOR YOUR LECTURES WITH THE RIGHT STRATEGY and come
with the right questions you will discover the gold nuggets in any
lecture topic.
* TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR LECTURES, YOU NEED TO MAKE THEM AS
INTERESTING AS POSSIBLE. WHEN YOU DO, knowledge will stick to you like
a magnet.
* IF YOU TREAT YOUR LECTURES AS AN OPPORTUNITY for assignment
completion and exam preparation, YOU WILL DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE
AMOUNT OF TIME YOU NEED TO SPEND STUDYING OUTSIDE OF CLASS.

Creating good lecture notes, preparing for the exam and working on
assignments during the lecture saved a lot amount of time and my
grades remained solid. In the end, I managed to achieve an ‘A’-
average that particular semester, doing a fraction of the work I had
done with my previous degrees.

BUT THE REAL IMPACT HAPPENED AT EXAM TIME…I WAS ABLE TO RADICALLY
REDUCE MY EXAM PREP TIME BECAUSE I HAD DONE SO MUCH IN CLASS! AND  I
WAS MORE RELAXED BECAUSE I ALREADY ‘KNEW’ SO MUCH WHEN I BEGAN MY
EXAM PREP. Now obviously my IQ had not increased, but armed with a
more street-smart study strategy, I was much, much more effective.

By this time I had been working as a college lecturer for a number of
years and I was starting to become concerned at just how many of my
own students were under-performing.

It seemed to me that there was a deeper pattern as to why some
students were more successful than others that had nothing to do with
ability. So I set about looking for the solution and that's when I
made my next breakthrough

5. WHY SO MANY STUDENTS FAIL TO SUCCEED

AND HOW TO ENSURE YOUR NOT ONE OF THEM

I had been teaching and assessing student performance for some years
and had been getting to know many of my students quite well.

I had already realized, at a broad level, that most college students
don't understand what drives academic achievement, often work
unnecessarily on the wrong things and often under-perform when it
comes to critical assessments.

Now one of my coping strategies, as a marker, would be to get a bunch
of essays, read the first page and then rank them from worst to best
(after having marked thousands of assignments, you can pretty much
tell from the first page what the quality of the work is going to be
like).

And then I would mark the worst first and work my way forward to the
best. This was because I always had to work much harder in looking for
'the good amongst the bad' in the poor assignments so I would always
do these first.

Anyway, the byproduct of this is that I started to think about the
overall patterns of achievement and compared that with what I knew
about the study style of my students. It wasn't pretty

AVOIDING THE STUDY STYLE TRAP

Basically, I realized that student performance could be
differentiated along two dimensions - effort and study strategy. And
when I mapped these dimensions, it created a really disturbing picture
of study style and academic performance. It looked something like this

In terms of study style, only a handful of students were even close to
getting it right. So what does this table mean?

* BELOW AVERAGE GRADES (35%): These students had poor study
strategies and simply weren't doing enough work to compensate for that
fact.
* AVERAGE GRADES (50%): These students were applying themselves
well, but because they had such poor study strategies they could never
escape the trap of average grades.
* ABOVE AVERAGE GRADES (THE 12%): This group had some good study
strategies and were achieving better than average grades. However,
they were having to work really hard to achieve their results. This
meant they were often paying a price in terms of their health or the
quality of their personal life.
* ABOVE AVERAGE GRADES (THE 3%): This group had some good study
strategies and were achieving better than average grades. However,
they were not working really hard to achieve their results. They were
normal students (not geniuses) but they had managed to discover a few
smart shortcuts.

So what was this really telling me about academic achievement? Three
things:

* THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EFFORT AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.
Sure, you need to apply yourself, but you absolutely do not have to
work yourself into the ground to achieve great grades.
* IF YOU WANT BETTER GRADES YOU NEED BETTER STUDY STRATEGIES; if you
want outstanding grades, you need outstanding study strategies.
* With the right study strategies, IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET EXCEPTIONAL
GRADES FOR A FRACTION OF THE EFFORT.

As a result of these discoveries, I changed how I delivered my study
skills workshops.Instead of teaching students all they needed to know
to be an excellent student, I began to focus more and more on teaching
them THE LEAST THEY NEEDED TO KNOW to get good grades.

It felt fantastic to see my students succeed more easily (and get
their lives back!) but the thing I felt most proud of was how much
more ambitious they became about their futures.

However, the interesting thing was that the biggest study secret of
all didn’t come until many years after I had completed my studies,
until after I had taught thousands of students, and until after I had
been a college lecturer for over a decade. Here is how it happened

6. THE ULTIMATE COLLEGE STUDY SECRET

THE PRECIOUS FEW THINGS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER TO YOUR GRADES

I was sitting at my desk creating The Lazy Study Guide. By now I had
discovered and road-tested dozens of study tips and short-cuts to
better grades for less effort.

Sure, I had learned most of them the hard way, but the short-cuts
worked. And I was getting really excited about sharing these secrets
to college success more widely. I kept thinking about the difference
my study secrets would make and I imagined thousands of students
studying less, getting good grades and living a great life.

But when I started pulling all my study secrets together, I realized
that something was missing I had a nagging feeling that something just
wasn't right.

So I re-checked all the secrets that I had found over the years and I
looked at them as a whole. And when I did, I started to see a pattern
to academic success a pattern that I hadn't consciously been aware of
before… a secret that applied to every single area of college study
and that organized all my other study method breakthroughs into an
even more powerful pattern

THE BRUTAL TRUTH

So what was this ultimate study breakthrough that made all the
difference? What was it that I was really doing that meant that essays
and exams that once took me weeks to complete and prepare for could
now be done in a few days for better grades? What was it that was it
that really allowed my students to get great grades and still have
time to enjoy all the good things in life?

The answer was revolutionary. Let me explain

It is fair to say, at a broad level, that 100% of the time and effort
you invest creates 100% of your grade. But here is the interesting
thing…within that overall time and effort there will be:

* Some activities that have A BIG IMPACT on your grades
* Some activities that have AN IMPORTANT IMPACT on your grades
* The remaining activities that are pretty much A COMPLETE WASTE OF
TIME

But if you are like most college students, you just don’t know
which are which. And this is why college students WASTE SO MUCH TIME
PUTTING LOTS OF EFFORT INTO AREAS THAT MAKE NO REAL DIFFERENCE TO
THEIR GRADES.

And it is this fact, more than anything else, that makes college
study much, much harder and much less fun than it needs to be.

THE ULTIMATE COLLEGE STUDY SECRET - THE 60:30:10 PRINCIPLE

Here is what you absolutely must understand if you want to transform
your study, your grades and your life. I call it the Ultimate College
Study Secret. Basically, it goes like this:

* With any study assessment THERE IS ALWAYS JUST ONE ACTIVITY, which
will take about 10% OF YOUR TOTAL TIME AND EFFORT, BUT CONTRIBUTES TO
AROUND 60% OF YOUR RESULT!
* THERE ARE ANOTHER THREE ACTIVITIES, WHICH WILL TAKE 30% OF YOUR
TOTAL TIME AND EFFORT, AND WILL CONTRIBUTE 30% OF YOUR RESULT!
* ‘EVERYTHING ELSE’, which takes up to 60% of your time and
effort, WILL TYPICALLY ONLY CONTRIBUTE 10% OF YOUR RESULT!

In other words 40% of your study activity contributes to 90% of your
grade while the other 60% of your activity only contributes to 10% of
your grade.

Therefore, if you know what the critical study activities are, and
complete these well, you can actually reduce your study time by up to
60% with almost no impact on your final grade. In fact, your grades
are more likely to improve because you will be so focused on what
actually matters to your success.

And that’s what you'll discover in the book I’ve written. All my
best study tips secrets plus the Ultimate College Study Secret to
organize the other study tips for maximum impact. The Lazy Study

PS. Since I have been teaching the “Lazy Study Guide” principles
I've had some lovely feedback from students who have had great
success. Congratulations to them in graduating and following their
dreams. Here are just some of the wonderful emails and letters I've
received

_"I MET LAWRENCE JUST A FEW MONTHS BEFORE MY FINAL ACCOUNTING
PROFESSIONALS EXAM. AT THE TIME I HAD DOUBTS OVER MY PREPAREDNESS AND
DOUBTED THAT I COULD DO WELL IN THE EXAM. MY FEARS WERE SLOWLY EATING
AWAY AT MY SELF-CONFIDENCE._

_I ONLY HAD ONE TWENTY-MINUTE CONVERSATION WITH LAWRENCE, BUT BY THE
END OF OUR CONVERSATION, MY CONFIDENCE HAD BEEN REBUILT BECAUSE I NOW
KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO DO TO SUCCEED ON THE EXAM. LAWRENCE
REALLY HELPED ME TO FOCUS ON THE RIGHT SHORT-TERM GOALS FOR EXAM
PREPARATION INSTEAD OF CONCENTRATING TOO MUCH ON THE RESULT._

_THE WORD "FAIL" WAS REMOVED FROM MY VOCABULARY AND I ENDED UP
PASSING THE EXAM COMFORTABLY AT THE END OF THE YEAR. I AM NOW FULLY
QUALIFIED. THANKS LAWRENCE!"_

AMY TANG (BCA)

_“I FIRST MET LAWRENCE WHEN I WAS A STUDENT ON THE VICTORIA MBA
PROGRAMME. I WAS A CAPABLE STUDENT AND DOING BETTER THAN MOST, BUT I
KNEW I WASN'T GETTING THE BEST OUT OF MYSELF. LAWRENCE REALLY MADE ME
THINK ABOUT MY STUDY APPROACH. _

_HE PROVIDED AN INVALUABLE RANGE OF SUCCESS SECRETS, THINKING FRAMES
AND TECHNIQUES TO ENABLE ME TO PERFORM BETTER. ONE TECHNIQUE, THE
TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM, HELPED ME BRING GREATER URGENCY TO ESSAY
COMPLETION. THIS MEANT THAT I COULD GET MY ESSAYS TO AN 'A' STANDARD
THE WEEK BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I COULD THEN JUST FOCUS ON THE FINISHING
TOUCHES._

_WHEN I STARTED WORKING WITH LAWRENCE I NEEDED TO ACHIEVE STRAIGHT
'A'S', FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE SEMESTERS, TO ENSURE THAT I SCORED A

ON MY PART, I DID SO.”_

NICK SIMCOCK (MBA - DISTINCTION)

_"I WENT BACK TO TERTIARY STUDY AS AN ADULT STUDENT. AT FIRST, I
FOUND IT INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT UNDERSTANDING WHAT WAS REQUIRED OF ME.
THE LECTURERS WERE A BIT VAGUE AND I COULDN’T ACCESS GOOD GUIDANCE
ON HOW TO COMPLETE MY ASSESSMENTS._

_LAWRENCE’S HELP WAS INVALUABLE. HE MADE ME REALLY AWARE OF WHAT
LECTURERS WANT. AT FIRST THIS WAS REALLY DIFFICULT. SOME OF HIS
FEEDBACK ON MY WRITING, FOR EXAMPLE, WAS BRUTAL BUT IT ONLY TOOK A
COUPLE OF ASSIGNMENTS BEFORE I REALLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS REQUIRED OF
ME AND HOW TO COMPLETE MY ESSAYS QUICKLY. WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS I
WAS CONSISTENTLY SCORING ‘A’S’ FOR MY WRITTEN ASSESSMENTS._

_WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE LAWRENCE GAVE ME ABOUT HOW TO ‘BEAT THE

DISCLOSURE: Maria is also my wife. Sometimes the most important thing
to do is help the people we love.

_“THERE WERE TWO KEY ASPECTS THAT LAWRENCE HELPED ME WITH – SMART
STUDY TECHNIQUE AND CREATING A SUCCESS MINDSET._

_IN TERMS OF SMART STUDY TECHNIQUE, THERE WERE A FEW THINGS THAT MADE
A REAL DIFFERENCE. THESE WERE SELF-MANAGEMENT, LECTURE LEARNING, AND
TECHNOLOGY SMARTS. INTERESTINGLY, THESE SKILLS WERE SEEN BY ALL IN THE
CLASS AND EVEN BY THE LECTURERS, BUT NO ONE ELSE WAS DOING THEM OR
EVEN THINKING ABOUT THEM, YET IT GAVE ME A REAL ADVANTAGE._

_ONE OF THE LESSONS THAT MADE A LASTING IMPRESSION (BUT REQUIRED A
HUGE LEAP OF FAITH) WAS THAT I DIDN'T (AND INDEED SHOULDN'T) STUDY
AROUND THE CLOCK TO ACHIEVE THE BEST RESULT. IT WAS THE REALIZATION
THAT I WAS BETTER OFF HAVING FOCUSED STUDY TIME AND FOCUSED NON-STUDY
TIME, WHICH WAS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO GET MY HEAD AROUND,
WHEN MY TRADITIONAL AVENUE TO SUCCESS WAS TO WORK HARDER THAN ANYONE
ELSE. I DIDN'T ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT THIS AS WELL AS I COULD HAVE, BUT AT
THE VERY LEAST IT MEANT THAT I DIDN'T FEEL GUILTY OR STRESSED WHEN I
WASN'T STUDYING._

_IN TERMS OF MINDSET, LAWRENCE ALSO HELPED ME CHANGE AN IDEA I HAD
ABOUT MYSELF THAT I'M NOT NEARLY AS SMART AS OTHERS. I'M SURE IT'S NO
COINCIDENCE THAT IN THE CLASS I DIDN'T FIND MANY/ANY OTHERS WHO WERE
SMARTER THAN ME.”_

stressed)

PPPS: Thanks for taking the time to read my journey of discovery.
Obviously, I would love you to own "The Lazy Study Guide" and to help
your academic success. However, I realize that "The Lazy Study Guide"
isn't for everyone.

In that case, my hope is that, at the very least, my story has
inspired you to look for smarter and easier ways to approach your own
academic achievement.

I'm also aware that some people need to work everything out for
themselves. If that is you, here are a few resources I have discovered
that may help you on your way:

* has a nice introduction to study skills with some good links to
other resources.
* has a nice selection of books on 'college study skills'. My only
note of caution is that you check to make sure that the 'five star
reviews' have come from someone who has actually bought the book!
* has some good articles and resources and some excellent links to
other college student learning centers.

Please note, these are not affiliate links, I have merely provided
them as a courtesy.

Take care and once again, all the best for your college success.

Warm regards
