SELLING YOURSELF TO MAKE PILES OF GOLD IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT:
Making gold in World of Warcraft is difficult for some, and yet comes
easy for others. Most people resort to endless hours of farming to
make their gold, while others will learn to manipulate the auction
house.
Some classes in the game open themselves up well to setting up a
service based gold making system. Tanks and healers are always in
short supply and make great cantidates for it, saying that you can do
your job well. Other classes offer abilities that are in demand for
other reasons.
TANKS AND HEALERS GET OFF EASY IN THIS REGARD. Quite a few people
want to be able to run instances, yet they do not have the time to
wait for a group using the random dungon timer. This has opened up a
very viable market for these classes as they do not suffer the long
queue times that a DPS class will face. On most battlegroups, tanks
are able to get into a dungeon group instantly, making them highly
desired for this service. _Healers tend to have to wait a few minutes,
but it is a far cry from what the DPS has to deal with._
Changes are in the works to make it so you will have to actually run
the instance in order for the DPS you sell the queue for to stay in
the run. You used to be able to simply queue and drop group which
simply leaves that group waiting for a tank. Leaving the group now
will result in kicking anyone you queued with out of the instance as
well making it so you will need to stay to earn your money. As long as
you have the skill and gear to handle the instance, this should not be
too bad of a problem. Of course your group make-up will have a lot to
do with the difficulty.
MAGES ARE BLESSED IN THIS AREA as well simply because of the ability
to create portals. Depending on the time of day, and the need of the
people needing a port, it is entirely possible to make hundreds of
gold an hour by selling portals. At its peak, it was not uncommon to
be offered 50-100 GOLD to get a port out of Dalaran. While things have
since settled as the focus of play returned to the main continents of
Azeroth, the market is stable. The best part about this is that it
allows you to work other methods, such as manipulating the auction
house, at the same time.
With any luck this has opened you up to looking at your character for
prime gold making abilities. Even if you do not use them as a primary
form of income, they are great to supplement. I just love playing my
DK and selling my services as a tank when I wanted to run an instance
anyways. I make money to do what I already want to do. If you look
deeper into things you may find other little ways to make some easy
money.

TWO KEYS TO BEING A GOD WITH YOUR DEATH KNIGHT IN PVP:
The Death Knight class was introduced with the Lich King expansion as
the first hero class. When the first DKs hit the level cap they simply
dominated PvP due to the mechanics of the class. Since then the class
has seen significant changes and with it the mechanics. UNDOUBTEDLY,
with the right set of tactics you can still be a threat in PvP.
PROPER USE OF DEATH GRIP
The most important thing to remember as a DK in PvP is that you NEVER
want to open with Death Grip. In nearly every match-up imaginable, it
is a poor way to start the fight as you leave yourself wide open to
kiting or unable to close ground against an opponent that is skilled
at gaining ground. Mages particularly have multiple ways to get away
from you, so it is important to use death grip properly.
The main reason many people use death grip is as a gap closer.
Without a doubt, in many match-ups this will be your primary use.
Quite a few classes have ways to get out of melee range with you,
which they need simply because you are capable of putting out a lot of
damage fast. The best time to use death grip in these situations is
right after they use an ability to get some distance. This will often
put them on the back foot for a few seconds while they try to find
another way to escape. This may be the opening you need to finish the
player off.
Another great use for Death Grip is as a situational interrupt. As it
stands DKs have two main interrupts with one being on a long cooldown.
Death grip can be used to stop any long spell casts and drag the
target into melee range for you to beat on for a bit.
PROPER CONTROL OF YOUR PETS
A ghoul is a DK's best friend if used properly, but can be worthless
if you do not have control over it. It is important to have keybinds
and macros set up to have your pet target who you want to target.
Being able to have your pet pop totems, give healers a headache, or
help you burn down a target is important to your success.
You should know that your gargoyle can also be controlled. It does
take some finesse and a proper macro to really make it shine, but if
done properly it can really help you out in a pinch.
WHILE THERE ARE MORE KEYS TO FIGHTING AS A DK, these two things can
have you well on your way to improving your performance in PvP.
Mastery of Death Grip will easily distinguish yourself as one of the
better DKs while having your pet where you need it to be at all times
will propel you to the elite.
