What Skills Will I Need to Build a Dome Studio
Skills required to build a âDome Studioâ are a combination of regular building skills, hand and manual skills, organization and of course, plan reading skills together with plenty of common sense, patience, perseverance, flexibility and a willingness to Try Something Completely New:
Why so Cheap ???
It is my VISION to spread the knowledge of a building system that can be adapted by people all over the world to build affordable strong, safe shelter. In Australia we have to comply with the “Building Code of Australia” which in many respects is very conservative and restrictive.
No matter where you live in the world, there are many ways to adapt the system which I refer to in the DIY Manual.There are many alternative building materials in different parts of the world, which could be substituted for some of the materials described in the DIY Manual.
Materials such as bamboo, hemp and other fibrous materials and can be used for fabricating shell structures or used for reinforcing concrete of various compositions. These and other alternatives are discussed in the manual.
If you adventurous, I invite YOU to take what I have developed so far and apply your innovations to the system – I would like nothing better than to see people all over the world building affordable, strong livable shelter.
