Professional Firefighter Since becoming a professional firefighter, I have heard so many stories from guys interested in trying out for selection and not knowing where to start, or from guys who have tried time and time again without being invited back to the next stage of selection. They are frustrated because they don't know where they are letting themselves down.
The thing that continually stands out for me, is that these people, even though they could make great firefighters, don't understand the testing process and don't realise the level of preparation required to make it through.
