_JohnDoe,_
_I came across your site when I was reading up on Dustin Prestige,
I’m a fan of his work and your site was one of the only one’s that
had his early work Polo’s and AK’s.  I can appreciate how you
ride with artist and really build from the ground up with them,
that’s real.  I’m an artist myself, I’ve got a growing buzz
it’s more been based on live shows than internet exposure.  When
you get a minute check my stuff out and if you like it I’d
appreciate if you could support it with a post in your blog._

_    There’s an old saying “The Fortune is in The Follow
Up”.  This applies to submitting music.  The reality is many
people don’t do things the first time that they are asked to do it.
This isn’t something done with malicious intent, just human
nature.  So it is rare that you will send this email and get an
instant post.  It is when you follow up that you begin to get
increased attention.  So after you send your initial email, wait
about a week and if you have no response, send a follow up email.
This follow up should be written under the assumption that they
received your email and meant to post it and maybe just got tied up.
That isn’t what your going to say but that’s the vibe you want
to give off you don’t want to sound “salty” in your follow up.
Here’s a pretty simple but effective follow up email._
