Dear Friend,
My passion is to assist people worldwide to 'beat the battle of the
bulge' and become healthier, slimmer, more energized individuals.
I was a 'professional' dieter from the age of 12 years old. You name
a 'diet' and I had been on it, lost weight and gained twice as much
soon after (do know the feeling?) So as I neared the 100kg mark on the
scales I decided to develop my own food program – I loved food, and
plenty of it, and of course all the great tasting fattening dishes
(having worked in food and beverage in restaurant for 12 years!)
I didn't want to be on a 'diet' and have to say good bye to my
favorite foods. I STILL WANTED TO ENJOY FOOD. I started to change all
of my high fat unhealthy recipes into low-fat alternatives, and then
began to balance them out into my 'Weigh Less Naturally' food program.
My motto being 'NO DEPRIVATION ~ NO STARVATION' – I went on to shed
over 30kg. As I lost the weight and many of my friends starting asking
what was I doing… I shared my program with them and we started
having weekly meetings at my home. We quickly out-grew my home and
hired a hall, and Weigh Less Naturally was born. The number of
meetings I took grew to 12 per week, and in 2002 I was approach by a
publisher to write my first book. The publisher's sister-in-law had
lost 60kg and he was stunned when he saw her (Lesley.) I am so
grateful to Lesley, firstly for being strong and saying goodbye to
60kg, and also to Terry at Hinkler Books for giving me an opportunity
to take Weigh Less Naturally globally.
Look, this is more of an insight into my life than a sales letter,
and I am OK with that, if I can provide you with total transparency

My first book 'Weigh Less Naturally, No Deprivation and No
Starvation' was released in May 2002 and sold over 100,000 copies –
it totally blew me away and I was interviewed by two television
stations. The feeling of being able to assist so many people to become
healthier and happier individuals was so precious to me. Hinkler
Publishers then offered me a 2nd book deal in 2005, and my 2nd book
launched in August 2005. That book was called 'Weigh Less Naturally,
The 28 day Plan' and sold just over 37,000. Unfortunately during 2005
I experienced some big challenges. I had a burnout, a nervous
breakdown and my second major back surgery. This all happened the
month my book hit the shops. I also suffered major depression and
attempted suicide – I do not tell you this for sympathy, I share
this because Weigh Less Naturally's doors closed late in 2005. I made
this decision because of my ill physical and mental health, and
because I had gained 25kg due to prescription medications, addictions
and comfort eating. My life sucked basically. AND I divorced my second
husband due to an unhealthy relationship. All I can say is - life is a
journey, we learn and grow through our mistakes and pains.
It took me years to shed that excess weight, I didn't really
understand the long term effects that the prescription medications and
chemicals had on my body, it wasn't good. Now I have a clear
understanding, and I have become an advocate on learning more about
organics, clean eating, raw foods, and health/super foods, and what
effect drugs have on our bodies. I am excited to share these
discoveries with you all in my new series of eBooks. I am not a
'guru'; I'm just someone who is passionate about inner health and
well-being. We all live in a fast paced, ever-changing world where so
much of our food is highly processed, has additives and is genetically
modified.
