"I've always been shy and had never formally spoken to a group of people. My boss asked me to give a presentation to a group of people one day and I was horrified! When I found this book on the Internet, I thought it might be something like "Presentation for Dummies." But after I read it, I found it helped me get through my presentation like a pro. I was extremely interested in the after-lunch exercises and actually tried a few of them with my audience. I got some great responses. I feel like I can do even better next time; the key is practice. I would recommend anyone to read this book. It also helps me to carry a conversation with strangers. I wondered if I can apply this book for conducting a webinar and will give it a try"

As a Manager you are under pressure to perform and to deliver results via the team under your control. A key element of any manager’s role is communicating via meetings.
I am sure that you would want to ensure that your meetings actually achieve results-Not Sleepwalking Zombies!
Avoiding mind-numbing meetings at all costs is a simple but effective key to success.
I know because I have been there myself…
Glen Foster
Hi, my name is Glen Foster. I am sure you all would like to experience some great business moments just like I have.
I started my career in supermarkets as a kid after school. I ended up being the manager of the most profitable supermarket in my state at the time. I have been on both sides of the retail/wholesale fence.
From there I embarked on a fascinating fifteen-year career with the largest food company in the world. I was promoted and transferred interstate and overseas. I learned (rapidly) about cultural barriers and language barriers and was often way out of my comfort zone (but boy was it a buzz!). I have been the owner operator of my own business for the last twelve years and love it.
People are the same the world over. They laugh, cry and work hard just like we do. While different cultures may proffer up the odd curve-ball in the end we are usually on the same wave length. We all want to achieve.
Is this you?
Meetings by necessity or perhaps blissful ignorance had a lot in common throughout my career. Most managers were too scared to do anything that did not look, or feel like, doing work in the business.
As a result I have endured countless hours of brain destroying tedium. I took copious notes to 1) stay awake and 2) to have something to refer to just in case.
As my career progressed it became apparent to me that some meetings were better than others. My role became leader, facilitator or trainer. As my confidence grew I started to introduce things to “break up the meeting”. I started with simple things like funny TV adverts. Easy to tape and play back in just a few minutes. The comedian Jasper Carrot did a series on it which was perfect. If someone did something great in a meeting I would play one ad as a prize. Soon, I had the group vying to win an advert as a prize.
Think outside the box as they say. I once presented a new food product to a buyer for an international company dressed as a waiter to serve him a taste. The product was listed – job done. It was mentioned favourably as being memorable during a business review with this customer at a later date in front of my boss the GM. So I got the job done and also scored points just by daring to be different.
I progressed to giving full one-day training seminars to the company’s staff and to key players in the trade. I continued to use and develop many different ways to ensure the seminars were useful, memorable and effective.
I have all of this really useful meeting experience floating around in my brain that took me years to find or develop and I thought this should be shared.
I would like to introduce my easy-to-follow eBook
that is a must-have for all those managers who
want to deliver quality meetings and be noticed.
This handy reference will put at your fingertips the skills you should have, to put yourself and your team into a winning frame of mind.

As a manager myself I have been able to draw on many years experience of running meetings and events. It is important to run a memorable meeting where the audience is engaged and attentive. It’s also important to give them some fun activities that have some greater meaning.
You should also bear in mind that your own performance is being watched and measured by your manager(s). Your Boss will see and hear things about your meetings that will have an impact on your own career. It really makes sense to ensure that the feedback the boss receives is positive in nature. If you lock twenty people in a room for eight hours, and drone on with facts and figures all day, you will have lost most of them before lunch! You can guarantee some negative feedback.
It is easy to insert some relevant, but fun games and exercises to make the day a good one for the participants. We have some great activities that will appeal to all of your team members. We do not ask or expect them to do anything dangerous like firewalking or potentially embarrassing things like being hypnotised. You will not have to discuss your innermost feelings with a total stranger because I don’t believe that is appropriate in business. This is all about getting everyone to feel great and realise they can do so much more. It’s also about sharing some powerful learning tools.
I can assure you one of the best feelings in the world is when you have delivered a memorable seminar, meeting or conference and the audience has given you a round of applause at the end of the day.
I attended many meetings and training courses in my early years and made notes of all of the great activities and exercises I encountered along the way. It was very satisfying to apply those activities to good purpose when I was the facilitator.
I am a true believer in delivering quality meetings that all can enjoy. This should apply to every meeting situation.
It is absolutely essential for those sessions of a longer nature, where team building, training etc is on the agenda, to include time for activities that wake everyone up.
This book has so much to offer; especially to those managers who are seeking to make a difference.
I also have some other great material that I wanted to share with you…

Venue checklist to allow you to compare venues equally
You will use many venues over the years to hold your meetings and they need to be compared on a like-for-like basis to enable you to select one wisely. While the company may pick up the tab it’s more important to have a successful meeting. You need to check things like the air-conditioning – does it work? Is it so noisy you can’t hear the speaker? Is there enough parking?
Comfortable chairs will win you many fans
We have put together a simple but very effective checklist that allows you to ask consistent questions at each venue. You can then give the venue a rating before the event against each criterion. You can then compare and choose the best option/venue fairly.
This is a great tool to ensure the venue will pass muster.
You might think this is not important – you would be wrong…
Don’t get caught out!
I once organised a venue within a zoo. The meeting room itself was great, the zoo had all of the obvious attractions for the breaks and it was a fine hot day. The team was gathered, the national sales manager had flown in and we were all set to go. We started at 10am and by 10.15am we realised we needed the air-conditioning on. I knew where the controls were and promptly hit the switch. Well the resultant noise from the air con was similar to a four engine propeller driven aircraft. We raised the volume on the mic; I turned the fans down and…… The national sales manager walked out and told me to pack it all up and reconvene back at head office. You can guess the rest.
The moral of that story was simple – check everything; don’t assume. I knew they had air-con as I could see the equipment. I was assured it worked by my host and she did not lie. She also did not reveal the noise factor and I had not checked.
Never again in my career did I suffer that embarrassment!
That could happen to you!
The checklist allows you to evaluate each venue against your needs. There is always room for compromise but you can choose what, or if, they will be.

Feedback form to invite feedback from your audience
If you are running a training course or a seminar or just a long meeting then feedback is a must to find out how you really went from your audiences perspective.
This simple form allows the participant to list some pre meeting expectations and then check them against the outcomes they experienced. They can also provide some great insight as to what they considered to be successful.
The participant has the option of identifying themselves or to remain anonymous to ensure you get useful feedback versus them saying what they think you want to hear.
The main body of the form has questions with ratings 1 to 5 (5 being the best) which need to be ticked. A multiple choice format is used to speed up the process and to get some consistency in the questions asked. There are also boxes which invite comment.
A must have tool for performance measurement. (You can also use these as evidence for your own performance review)

So how much will this cost me?
If I added up the hours that I have spent putting together this material for you it would be more than I would care to admit too. If I then added in the amount of time actually using these great ideas in the real world it would be getting seriously out of hand. I will not charge you for the experience (good and bad) that is poured into this work. Naturally the activities that did not work have been weeded out to save you from the lead-balloons that I endured. But needless to say hundreds of accumulated hours have gone into this work.
So what should I charge for something of this nature? What would be a fair price? Most of you will claim this as a business expense either privately or to your employer. So the cost to you is probably insignificant. I could charge $100 for this eBook and be confident about achieving that price. But I have always been a reasonable man. I will charge you only $49.50 for this book including all of the free bonuses worth $114!
So $49.50 is the grand total
In fact we have also decided that as a special launch price we will take a further 10% off the price to bring the total cost down to an incredibly low $45.00! I am not sure how long we can keep it at that price and it will certainly increase in the near future. But at that low price surely you must act…
So “let’s keep it simple sunshine” (remember that one) ok it’s not being politically correct but hey I tried. We have included three bonuses with a combined value of $114. These are yours Free Of Charge when you buy the book.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but I have seen careers ruined by some really small seemingly innocuous detail. It’s a tough world out there in business.
I am passionate about providing help to those who want to take a positive step forward.

My friends and colleagues told me flatly that I was nuts for doing this. The doomsayers among them warned of people ripping me off on the internet. They will buy the book, get all of your hard work and then ask for a refund. They will all be laughing at you.
Well I believe that yes there will be a few people out there who will do the wrong thing. But I am not deterred as I believe most people will be happy with the book and what it can deliver for them which will ensure a great result for all. I can sleep happy knowing that I did not rip anyone off and that is of paramount importance for me.
So let’s recap what you get….
