wife Margaret and my son Alan I came across a stall that had that fan
shape of leaves sitting on a table and I straight away recognised what
it was and I went over and asked about the plants.
They gave me a card and I went home with a brief idea of what I was
doing and a couple of plants and I stuck them in some dirt and hoped
for the best.
Months went by. Spring had come and gone. The plants had grown, they
were healthy but, there still had been no flowers.

so what's the first thing I do?
I had a look online, but I very quickly got an overload of
information and truth be told I found it quite confusing. Then I
remembered the card that man gave me at the market. I thought, well
these guys have enough flowers to sell some they have to know what
they are doing.
I said. "Look, my plants are great and healthy, plenty of green but
that is the only color I can see. WHY WON'T THEY FLOWER?" He asked
weather I had given them a lot of fertilizer and water.
It turned out that I was over feeding the plants and following spring
I was so excited.
