"Your new ebook Papercraft and Scrapbooking Business Compendium gave me hope … "

Dear Pippa,

[to be edited later] I Just wanted to say how grateful I am that you was in a dead-end job, and I was miserable because I just didn’t think that I could quit. I needed the money, of course, and I thought that there was nothing else I could do. The only thing that kept me sane was my quilting at nights and weekends. All the time sewing, I used to dream of being free, being my own boss and making money from my crafting skills. I knew I could do it, I just didn’t know how to get started … until I found your fabulous new book.

Actually, there were so many options for making money that at first I didn't know where to start, and it was soooooooo exciting reading about all the possibilities … Then I did lots of market research, the way you suggested, and I figure that I can make photo-memory scrapbooks because I know so many people who would love to capture their family history that way. So thanks … I can see a way of quitting my 'day job' and being self sufficient from my quilting. And I feel happy all day, every day now. Thank you so much …

In America, National Scrapbooking Day (held on the first Saturday in May each year) has emerged as a big way of celebrating the number one, top-selling category of the 39 craft segments in the $27 billion US craft and hobby industry. According to the Craft and Hobby Association, about 35 per cent (or 40 million) of the 113 million US households scrapbook, rubber stamp or make cards, and spent approximately $4 billion in 2009 on scrapbook, 'memory craft' and other paper-crafting products. Two years later, these figures must have grown to be well over $4 billion.

From: Philippa Carron, Professional Writer and Experienced Small-Business Owner and Manager (AKA 'Pippa')

Dear Papercraft and Scrapbooking Enthusiast,

If you have ever thought of trying to make money from your papercraft and scrapbooking skills, then take a few minutes to indulge in a creative fantasy …

IT'S OK TO DREAM, SO GO AHEAD NOW…

You know you've got what it takes to be in business. You've been scrappin for a few years and you just love it. And everyone says you've got natural talent. Passion exudes from you when you talk about how much you love scrappin'. You're pretty sure that you could succeed in business … if only you had the right information to be confident of being a success.

And so you make the move, you get the right information, and you set up a small business doing just what you love. And because you are supported with the right business information you are a success and the dollars roll in easily because you are doing what you love.
So what will you do when the money is flowing freely into your business? Take a well earned vacation? Put your kids through private school? Move to a bigger house? Or just simply go to bed every night knowing the bills are all paid and there's more left over to feel safe and secure?

It's not just a dream …
You CAN start a scrapbooking business …

Now, if YOU have a fantasy to make profits from your passion, I can really help you here because, whatever you dream, I KNOW that you can bring it into reality …

Papercraft and scrapbooking is a multi BILLION dollar industry and I know that you can make money from your passion of papercraft and scrapbooking …

However, I also know that unless you have the right information when you start out in business, you can easily lose money …

And that's not all … you can definitely lose all interest in what was once your passion … in fact, you can come to hate it …

Plus you can also lose your self-confidence at the same time!

And you don’t want to do that!

If you want to go into business, you have to do it with as much help as possible … you have to be smart about it …

If you don’t believe me, let me tell you Rebecca's story …

Rebecca Started Out Optimistic …

My friend Rebecca obsessed about scrappin'. Anything to do with papercraft and scrapbooking, she just loved.

When she suddenly decided to set up a scrapbooking business she just wouldn’t listen to all the things which could go wrong …

She said "I'm an optimist".

She said "I know how to make wonderful scrapbooks … everyone loves my scrapbooks".

But I could see from her happy-go-lucky attitude that she was going to learn all the tough business lessons the hard way, when she didn’t really need to …

Months later, Rebecca came back to me, close to desperate. She'd made lots of nice scrapbooks and mood pages to show people, but not any profit … in fact, she had spent way more than she had made …

What Rebecca Did Wrong …

As we sat in her living room and looked over her sample scrapbooks and mood pages, we talked about exactly what Rebecca had done wrong …
She had bought lots of papers and embellishments from a friend who was a direct sales consultant so she had plenty of choice, but it had cost her way more money than she had planned, despite getting a 'bulk' discount of 10% from her friend. "Maybe I had a bit of a splurge when I thought about all those beautiful scrapbooks I could make for people … " she sighed. "My friend, the scrapbooking sales consultant, made so much money out of me, even with that 10% discount!" she sighed. She had spent hours and hours making up scrapbooks that she loved. She had had a great time, and her family and friends said that her scrapbooks looked absolutely fantastic, but … she didn’t actually have any paying clients yet.  She had taken out a stall at her local craft markets, paid $100 for the stand. But, to her horror after she had set up the stall, there was another women there selling scrapbooks services too, and the other woman seemed to get all the customers because her scrapbook services seemed to be much cheaper.  When I asked her about market research, Rebecca said "Everyone told me how beautiful my scrapbooks were so I was sure that they I would get some customers". When I asked her "what particular niche were you targeting?"she just gave me a blank look. She hadn’t done any market research and didn't know how to go about it. She had spent thousands of dollars getting an internet expert to design her a website, but she had no idea about getting a good Google ranking ('search engine optimization or 'SEO' she called it) and so no-one even knew that her website existed. "The website was a total waste of money" she wailed. In defiance she blurted "I did get one job. A lady commissioned me to finish her scrapbook for her". I raised my eyebrows … "And?". Rebecca slumped on the table. "Well, I quoted her a fixed price and I thought that I was doing OK until afterwards, when I added up all the hours I had spent on the job, and I realised that I only got paid $2.50 an hour for the work overall." She sighed and looked teary. At last, she admitted, that when she started she didn’t have a business plan, no plan at all. She hadn’t done any sort of strengths/weaknesses analysis and, worst of all, she had no financial plan, nor a marketing plan …
What Rebecca should have done …

Finally, Rebecca asked me, "So tell me what I should have done?" …

And so I told her: "Rebecca, I love writing. While I love papercrafts too, writing is my true passion. So I am going to write you a book. In fact, I am going to write you two books"

"Two books?" Rebecca asked.

"Yes, two books," I repeated, and I went on to explain.

"Whenever you go into business, it does not matter what the business is, you need to work both in the business and on the business".

"Hmmm," said Rebecca "Someone asked me once, how much time was I spending on the business, but I just thought that she meant How much time was I spending making scrapbooks. So what is the difference between on the business and in the business?".

Well," I explained, "working in the business means working on your product or services, actually making things, building up your inventory, or providing services to clients. It's like you are an employee of your own business."

"Working on the business basically means working on all the business side of things. Not just the bookkeeping and accounts, but more on market research about your potential customers, and on creating your next set of products and services."

"Oh dear," said Rebecca. "I didn’t do any of that sort of thing. I just thought all I had to do was make scrapbooks and then people would want to get me to make one for them".

"Well, you're not alone. Plenty of people make these same small-business mistakes. That's why something like 80% of start-up businesses fail within their first year. The businesses which do survive are usually the ones where the business owner has started a business before and been successful".

"So I really didn’t stand much chance trying to do it all on my own?" said Rebecca, though it wasn't really a question. She knew the answer now. She should have asked for as much help as possible in her new business venture, especially before spending so much money.

"Do you think it's too late for me now?" she asked me, her natural optimism coming back.

"No, it's not too late" I reassured her. "Not if you follow the basic, well-known principles for start-up businesses that I am going to write out for you".

The Secret of Running a Small Business …

You see, the hardest part about taking your passion and making money from it, is the business side of what you do. Yes, you can make scrapbooks, beautiful scrapbooks, just like Rebecca did, but can you sell them for a profit?

So I wrote the two books for Rebecca and she is selling her scrapbooks all over the place, and making a great profit! And she is now thinking of branching out into a range of other business activities based on papercraft and scrapbooking.

Last time we met, she said to me "I'm thinking about starting some 'shop hop' tours. There's lots of beautiful craft shops on the outskirts of town. Now that my website is bringing in traffic, I could advertise the tours there."

"Go for it" I said, knowing that all the details that she needed to start craft shop bus tours were in my "Papercraft and Scrapbooking Business Compendium", plus any time she wanted to remind herself about all the things that she should be doing to work on the business, she had my "Passion to Profit HQ—Start-Up Manual".

So here it is …

a completely NEW ebook that tells you step-by-step how to make money
from every aspect of papercraft and scrapbooking

"Papercraft and Scrapbooking
Business Compendium"

How to turn your crafts of papercraft and scrapbooking
into a profitable and enjoyable small business

"I know how to sell my scrapbooking services now!"

"Since I retired a couple of years ago I've had been thinking that I could make scrapbooks for other people, but I just didn’t know how to start to run a business. It all seemed just too complicated, and scary. But your detailed chapter on "Providing Scrapbooking Services" gave me everything I needed to have confidence in knowing what I was doing, and start up gradually so I felt comfortable with being in business."

Sally Dawson-Browne, Brisbane, Australia

"The perfect amount of information …"

Hi Philippa,
[to be edited later] I just wanted to say that your book had just the perfect amount of information in it. It was detailed enough for me to get a good idea of what I could do and, most importantly, how to do it; but not so much detail that I got bogged down in trivial information that I didn't need to know at this stage. I plan to start running some shop hop trips in our area and, with your 'Getting Started' section, I know exactly what I need to do.

Angie Sayers, Brisbane, Australia

BUT, I know that there are people out there who want lots of detail, and it occurred to me that "maybe there is someone who doesn’t believe me that this book is so big and so comprehensive".

So I have put up a posting on the blog page of this website which provides a copy of my book's entire contents page – most other ebooks won’t give you that in advance! To check for yourself, scroll back to the top and select the "Blog" tab on the far right. Then, under "categories", select "Book Table of Contents" and see for yourself.

AND, I have also put up a copy of the companion book's contents pages as well, so you can see exactly what you have to do to work on your business.

You can read more of my blogs, of course, but come right back to this page and select "Order Now" so you don’t miss out on this life-changing opportunity.

Philippa (Pippa) Carron, PhD

P.S. So if you are serious about living the life you want, and turning your passion to profit, then your search is over … it's all here at the press of a button for only $37.00!

P.P.S. Don't forget, there are a massive SEVEN fantastic bonuses that come FREE with this offer, all of which will provide valuable information in starting up your new small business.

P.P.P.S. With my 60-day, 100% money back, "NO QUESTIONS ASKED" Professional Guarantee, you know that YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOSE. So there's no risk on your part. Just take a deep breath … and be on your way to turning your passion to profit.

P.P.P.P.S. By the way, there are a number of other ebooks and hardcopy books for sale on the internet which say they are 'new', but they are not! Don’t be fooled by the dates on their web pages. These dates automatically update themselves. Many of the make-money-from-scrapbooking books for sale were written in the early 2000s (e.g. 2003 and 2004) when the big craze of scrapbooking home businesses had only just started. So many of these books contain out-of-date information. But I guarantee that my Papercraft and Scrapbooking Business Compendium was written in 2011, so you'll be given totally up-to-date information. When you buy this book, if the date on the copyright page says anything other than this year's date (i.e. 2011), I will give you double your money back! Plus you should also be aware that this Compendium hasn’t been written by a contract outworker who knows little about papercraft and scrapbooking, and even less about starting up a small business. I have personally written the book Papercraft and Scrapbooking Business Compendium and I have personally written the #1 bonus book Passion to Profit HQ – Business Start-Up Manual. I am a professional technical writer and an experienced business owner.

Oh, and how do I substantiate my claim of "Biggest and Best Business Guide to Making Money From Your Papercraft and Scrapbooking Skills and Knowledge"? For a start, this offer comprises two unique and personally researched and written books. The Papercraft and Scrapbooking Business Compendium itself is 150 pages long (have a look at the contents pages listed on my blog if you don’t believe me!) and the Passion to Profit HQ – Business Start-Up Manual is 126 pages long (the contents pages for this book are also provided on my blog). Together, this makes 276 pages: no other scrapbooking business book offers this much material. Actually, when you read a lot of the others, they are just padded out with things that you just don't need—the basics of scrapbooking, for example. Secondly, how do I substantiate "best"? Well, I have read a lot of the other common scrapbooking business business books and (1) mine is the newest, so it has the most up-to-date information; (2) it has information about more ways to make money out of papercraft and scrapbooking than the others; and (3) I am a professional wrier and editor and, frankly, some of those other books are not so easy to read, or are full of grammatical and punctuation mistakes. But, if you can find one that you think is better than my two books combined, I will happily give you your money back.
