Many years ago, I had a friend called "Deejay Stanley-Stan" who was a
full-time DJ working in some exclusive Hip-Hop clubs around Los
Angeles -- and he was friends with a DJ who also worked in many of the

party was supposed to be “off the hook.”
When I saw the address of this house party, I figured this had to be
a joke at my expense. Me … at a party in a rich neighborhood in
Los Angeles with a guest list which included some big names in the
Hip-Hop world – no way, I thought.
And even if there really was a party, would I really get into it
being a friend of a friend, of a friend … well, you get the point.
So, I rolled up to the address with Stanley-Stan, thinking we’ll
probably end up in a so-so Hip-Hop club on the other end of Los
Angeles when we get turned away at the gate -- or find out there
isn’t a party here at all.
But oh, there was a party, all right! The music was bumping! You
could hear it at the gated entrance, which lead to a long driveway,
which lead to a house that looked like a mansion. Stanley-Stan
mumbled some name (a name I later found out was the sound board guy)
and then we drove through the gate, up that long driveway and up to a
valet, who parked my friend’s new car next to shiny and fancy,
hyped-up Cadillac’s, Escalades, Bentley’s, BMWs -- all sorts of
expensive luxury cars.
We got inside and I saw all these people sporting massive amounts of
bling, diamonds and fancy clothes (I even recognized some of the party
guests: Major Hip-Hop performing stars, and a few big-name producers I
read about in magazines).

coming out of this killer sound system!
HIGH CLASS ALL … THE … WAY!
Stanley-Stan's DJ friend introduced me to the sound board operator,
who later introduced me to some of the hottest artists and
beat/recording producers in the industry! I found myself talking to
Hip-Hop movers and shakers about making music and making money using
technology.
So I worked it: I got some cards, names and digits. A couple of
producers and an artist wanted to talk with me more about some ideas I
had about the online world and the Hip-Hop world, etc. I couldn’t
believe it! Getting Inside
But I wondered: Would they act like they never met me when I call
them up later?
I waited a few days before calling one of the “private” numbers
of this one guy -- and I mean, he was an insanely successful Hip-Hop
music producer. I thought was I given a fake number? It all seemed
too good to be true. But it was real. This producer I met at the party
and called a few days later actually answered the phone, remembered
