The wrong snowboarding gear is frustrating for the instructor as well, because as an Instructor I see what people are able to do based on their ability and the product they are riding on.
When I see a person struggling to be able to skate, or make simple turns because they have the incorrect equipment that they have generally just bought, I feel very disappointed, knowing that they have spent a lot of money on equipment that is not suitable. No doubt, they feel that disappointment too that they spent a lot of money and it’s not helping them to ride better – it’s actually making it harder.
