Author

DEAR FRIEND,

Are you struggling with a teen that can't stop texting? &nbsp Have
you been feeling frustrated and angry with yourself because you can't
make them stop - NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY OR DO?

If your answer is \"YES\" then I'm sorry you're going through this -
I know EXACTLY how you feel because I personally went through the same
agony not that long ago.

I had a TWO YEAR LONG standoff with my daughter over her texting
until I finally found a way to help her stop, and it feels so good to
have my happy, healthy, normal daughter back!

What you're about to read is the most powerful system that has ever
been created for helping your teen kick the texting habit once and for
all. &nbsp Although text and cell phone addiction rates are
increasing, most people don't know how to cope - and most don't even
know this system exists.

MY DAUGHTER TURNED INTO A DIFFERENT PERSON WHEN SHE GOT HOOKED ON
TEXTING...

At 13 she was bright, cheerful, considerate, and all I could ask
for in a daughter.

We had promised her than when she turned 13 she could have a cell
phone - she had been hounding us FOR OVER A YEAR but we didn't want
her to grow up so fast. So on her 13th birthday, she got her phone.

WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS, LIFE BEGAN TO CHANGE. OVER THE NEXT MONTH,
THE \"CHANGES\" WERE NOTICEABLE:

* She didn't talk to us much any more... SHE DIDN'T TALK MUCH AT ALL.
All she did was type on her phone

* Her life got a lot more "dramatic." Things like gossip and rumors
are always there, but the phone SEEMED TO MAGNIFY THEM BY AT LEAST 10
TIMES

* She seemed to have a bad attitude toward us ALL THE TIME

* Rude behavior, like using the phone at dinner or other
inappropriate times, became the norm

This started a pattern that lasted JUST OVER 2 YEARS.

She would use the phone too much (you should have seen the first
bill we received before buying a better plan!) or at the wrong time.
We would get upset and try to make her stop, but that always made
things WORSE.

One of her older friends actually GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT while she
was texting. Thankfully it was just a minor fender bender, but what
if... ?

At the time I thought: our daughter will be driving soon - will she
be texting while she should be driving?!

Then I overheard some of the kids at her school talking about
"sexting." This sent chills down my spine. Many teens actually take
nude photos of themselves and send them to friends - or they send them
out to one friend who they think they can "trust" - only to find out
that the photos are all over their school, or even worse, the
internet!

LIKE OTHER PARENTS, I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS NO EASY SOLUTION

Grounding them, taking the phone away, and getting upset JUST DON'T
WORK - but what WOULD WORK?

My husband and I had a talk and decided to find answers to this
problem no matter what, because we couldn't continue living with our
text-addicted daughter - it was getting that bad.

At first we found no answers - the "experts" like to write about
text and cell phone addiction to get their names in the paper, but
they haven't spent much time FIGURING OUT HOW TO HELP TEXT-ADDICTED
TEENS.

When we asked our friends many of them reported that their kids
spent way too much time texting also. &nbsp When we asked how they
handled it, most of them said that they had just given up!

COUNTLESS HOURS OF READING, RESEARCH, AGGRAVATION, AND
EXPERIMENTATION

I didn't want to give up! I know that taking their phone away can
work, but then they can't get in touch with you if there is a problem
or make an emergency call if they need to. Besides - WOULDN'T IT BE
BETTER TO TEACH OUR DAUGHTER HOW TO USE HER PHONE RESPONSIBLY instead
of just taking it away? You can't be there every minute of every day
looking over their shoulder.

So many articles and studies are out there pointing to the dangers
of compulsive texting. I read as many as I could, and was absolutely
horrified by what I found. HERE ARE JUST A FEW EXAMPLES:

17 YEARS OLD SEND OVER A 100 TEXTS A DAY.\" -_ CBS Evening News_
