WITH THIS BEING SUCH AN IMPORTANT ISSUE, WOULD YOU ALLOW YOURSELF
JUST A FEW MINUTES TO READ MY STORY – IT MIGHT CHANGE YOUR LIFE . .
.   _Hi, my name is Graham Foster. I was a smoker from the age of 15
to 40. _

When I was fifteen years old I was one of those people who were not
going to take up smoking. My best friend and I were not going to smoke
even though many of our friends were smoking.

We went on a school trip to Germany where, because of being able to
get alcohol at a younger age, we got drunk quite a lot. It was in one
of these drunken states that we came upon the idea of trying a
cigarette. We didn’t think just trying it would make us hooked but
we wanted to know what was so good about it that made people want to
do it so many times a day for most of their lives. It was also partly
that we were being bad that excited us. And there was also the reason
that we would be able to say to our friends we tried it, we can inhale
without coughing and spluttering, even though we would choose not to
become full time smokers.

The first one or two we didn’t inhale but as we became braver we
began inhaling just a bit. When we started inhaling properly we felt
nauseated and dizzy and tried to resist coughing but of course we
coughed anyway. All the symptoms of rejection our bodies were giving
us, such as coughing and dizziness, we translated as a pleasurable
‘high’ which was probably an acquired taste. After all, there must
be a better sensation than this but you must have to smoke quite a few
before you learn to enjoy it and get out of it whatever it is people
get out of it.

So we tried again the next night and the next night and the next. We
felt proud of ourselves for being able to smoke and yet we weren’t
hooked so the fear of becoming hooked had gone. Then it was time to go
home. We both agreed that when we got home we would not smoke again
except just the once to prove to Phil and Martin and the gang that we
could smoke, but we choose not to.

The memory is a little hazy after that but it wasn’t long before I
remember being quite astonished and very worried that every time I
decided not to smoke any more, after a while I would experience a
panic attack and smoke again.

I was never a happy smoker. I would try to stop time and time again,
yet I just continued to smoke more and more. Most of the time I just
accepted it but I always felt that one day I would stop.

I tried cold turkey, I tried going on holiday, and I tried staying in
the bedroom. I tried nicotine gum and patches and inhalers, I even
tried acupuncture and hypnotism. It never worked. Eventually I found
the secret formula to stop and stay stopped easily and without
cravings.

I smoked because I wanted to identify myself with people who smoked.
They seemed to be more adventurous and less sensible. They tended to
have the same interests as me. I also smoked because I enjoyed it so
much. The feeling I got when I lit up, especially if I hadn’t had
one for a while, was wonderful. Smoking was one of the few pleasures I
had in life; it gave me relief from life’s difficulties. The thought
of not smoking was a fearful thought for me.

Whenever I did try to stop smoking I went nuts and ended up smoking
again anyway. Stopping smoking became very fearful and each time I
doubted whether to light up a cigarette the memory of going nuts made
that cigarette more needed and somehow more of a comfort and pleasure.
I couldn’t imagine what you do with your hands if you don’t smoke.
Smoking helped me relax. I couldn’t imagine being relaxed without
smoking. Also, if I had any work to do that required concentration, I
couldn’t imagine being able to concentrate without smoking; smoking
helped me concentrate. I needed to smoke to face situations that were
important to me or anxiety producing like interviews or medical
appointments. I couldn’t imagine dealing with them without smoking.
Smoking helped me get through.

In addition to this I also developed other serious addictions that
devastated my life. I became an alcoholic and a drug addict. I have
had to find a way out of all these addictions in order to get my life
back.

When I eventually overcame all my addictions I trained as a teacher.
After this, I became a trainer in one of the biggest companies in the
world. I found I had some talent in communicating information and
concepts to others. Putting this together with my life experience I
developed a treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. I am currently
the Director of in Portsmouth, England, which is an established
residential rehab.

Today there will be hundreds of nicotine related deaths. That is the
major reason why I choose to focus my time and energy on helping
people to break free from nicotine as well as other substances.
Another reason is that even though I have suffered from addiction to
other substances, in my personal experience I found the nicotine
addiction the hardest from which to break free. That’s why I did it
last.

I first got clean and sober from drink and drugs in March 1995. It
took me another five years of trial and error before I hit upon the
right formula for stopping smoking permanently and easily. I
eventually won that battle in early 2000 and have not suffered any
cravings since.

STOP SMOKING PLAN

1. Listen to the audiobook on your mp3 player or in the car for 2
weeks, or 2 months, or until you are ready to stop. This will ruin
your smoking as you see through the addiction. The more you listen and
understand, the easier it will be.

2. Listen to your downloaded free meditation in the comfort of your
own home regularly. The meditation is designed to help your deeper
subconscious be better able to let go of the need and desire to smoke
and ease or eliminate panic attacks when you stop smoking.

3. Pick a weekend to stop, maybe with a friend for support. Have your
last cigarette at the beginning of the weekend and read through the
ebook - the ebook contains written exercises that you may chose to
complete. You don't have to do the exercises, but for some people this
aids understanding.

4. Listen to the meditation for the last time at the end of the
weekend. By this time, all the wobbly feelings should be gone and you
should feel very confident and strong.

Easy! Job done! Finished! Free!

SUCCESS RATES?

Clearly, I cannot know how successful this method is as that would
require us to ask every person who ever purchases the package if they
have actually given it a go and how that went and hope they are
telling the truth. In practice, that is not really possible. I can
tell you however that the clinics, as a guess, seem to help around 30%
of the attendees to stop and stay stopped.

Most methods of stopping smoking have a success rate of 10% I am not
going to be creative with statistics in order to sell you anything.
Success rates of 90% and more can be legally created and backed up
pretty easily, but they are not actually real.

What’s important is that you find the way that works for you and
until you try that way you will never know whether it will work for
you or not.

But certainly, this method works for me and here are a few other
people who are happy to confirm that it has worked for them.
