There’s also the motivation for sustaining yourself through the writing, organizing and publishing process. There will be a time when you say to yourself, “Is it all worth it?”



Identifying your motivators is crucial to keeping the process fun and purpose filled. We’ll get in to some possible motivators but being the expert in your specialty or geographical location will bring a lot of benefits you haven’t thought of. Have you ever heard the expression, “He wrote the book on the subject”?



What does that saying conjure up in your mind?



It means he or she is the expert, case closed. To illustrate this point, here’s a story of an old colleague who sailed the seas 300 days a year on cruise ships entertaining guests with magic tricks and hypnotism.



His “day after follow up hypnosis session” on weight loss was a big flop. Then,  he wrote a book on “How to Lose Weight Through Hypnosis.”



From that point forward it’s like his audience was in a trance (sorry, couldn’t resist). After he described his hypnosis weight loss program he held up his book and said, “Hey, I wrote the book!”



Next day attendance increased for weight loss through hypnosis increased by 1000%.



You have a book in you. One that can help a lot of people improve their lives one way or another. Or, you have a book in you that can help a small number of people more deeply.
