My second book, Getting Yours, for Baby Boomers, was raved about by Barron’s as “a fun to read and well-reasoned plan for getting ahead in turbulent times,” and was even featured in the cover of Glamour magazine.
Where it all started: extensive retirement knowledge that began early in my career—from age 25—when I became the head of Savings Products at New York's largest bank, and helped develop the bank’s very first IRA and KEOGH retirement savings accounts. In this process I learned the inner-workings of how banks make money, and how important it is to keep a close, watchful eye on your financial interests at each and every stage of your life.
By the early 1990's, I had become well-known as a consumer advocate because of my fighting for the rights of common citizens.
