It's make me relaise that a lot of people are sufferer from this horrible disease and I must do something to help victim of this disease.
I Began Look For Person Who Had Experience With Breast Cancer To Tell Amazing Survival Story!
After three week of reseach I finally found Jasmine who had been through a lot in her life. She told me, how she was diagnosed with breast cancer, what the stage of brest cancer, how family support is important in this quest and how she overcome this awful disease.
I felt that a comprehensive, user-friendly, non-intimidating and positive book about how to survive breast cancer was much needed, and so I had written “You have breast cancer, Breast Cancer DOES NOT have you - Breast Cancer Advice”. I also set up a web-site to share this information with others, and which could potentially raise funds for cancer research.
Here is Sample from the book
In this book you will find...
Know you enemy:
If you are the person with breast cancer or have had it, you have to be making constant decisions about many aspects of your health care. Those decisions are your direct attack on the cancer. If you don't make the right decisions, then you are going to lose the battle,(not necessarily the war…there is a difference).
What really is breast cancer?
All of us would agree that over the past few years there has certainly been a lot more awareness being made about breast cancer. There are always some types of fund raisers taking place, and there are numerous products that you can purchase on the market where a portion of the product is being dedicated to cancer research. So, why this type of cancer, when there are so many other types, just as horrific as this one? Simply because breast cancer is the second most common in the United States of America (skin cancer is #1).
How does breast cancer come about?
To begin with if we knew what caused breast cancer then we would be able to eradicate it most likely. Breast cancer starts when the cells in the breast start acting abnormally. These unusual cells grow faster and divide fast than normal cells. As they accumulate they mass together and form a lump which is called a tumor or mass. This mass of cells can spread into the lymph nodes which can then carry the cancer to other parts of the body.
Invasive ductal carcinoma Invasive lobular carcinoma Inflammatory breast cancer Recurrent breast cancer Hereditary cancer
Following your own observations:
There are three approaches that most women will take when it comes to breast cancer and their own observations.
Type 1:
These are the women who do not want to know if there is something untoward in their breasts. They believe they will never be able to cope with finding anything,
Type 2:
These are the opposite to type 1. They are almost obsessive in nature.
Type 3:
Is hopefully becoming the majority and is astute at doing their breast exams. Two things must be remembered here.
Emotional Cancer
If the day has come that you have had those words "you have breast cancer" presented to you then you must start getting dressed for battle. Emotion you can use to fight against are as follow:
Disbelief Denial Shock Anger Indignant Frustration Worry Stress Anxiety Depression Sadness Fear Acceptance Fighting back Hope
The Story of Jasmine
Just the very name Jasmine makes you think of some vibrant young woman with the world ahead of her doesn't it? Well at one time this was so, but in fact that way many years ago. For Jasmine is a very classy lady that is in her early sixties, and yes she has been stricken with breast cancer.
So where did it all begin for Jasmine?
Jasmine was no stranger to illness. Throughout the years she had, had to deal with her share of common illnesses and some not so common. In fact some were quite serious but she always managed to bounce back. At the age of twenty-two she ended up having to have a hysterectomy which meant the end of her child bearing years at such a young age. Of course it was heart breaking but Jasmine being the type of "pick yourself up and don't mope over it", accepted it and counted her blessings because she had given birth to two beautiful boys and that was good enough for her.
Learning from Jasmine
We told you about her early life and dealing with variations of sicknesses because we want you to get a picture of the type of person Jasmine is. Now of course it's pretty obvious that Jasmine is a strong willed individual that every time she gets knocked down she will get back up swinging.
Jasmine's strategy
There are two things that Jasmine makes a practice of. It is up to you whether you want to apply them to your own life but they sure have an impact on hers.
Standing your ground
One of the ironic aspects that you are going to face when you adopt many of Jasmine's fighting tactics is you may be gently told,….
One final thought
During this battle you are going to have ups and downs. One day you will hear good news and then the next day it may not be so good.
Detachment
Another very strong fighting tactic of Jasmine's is detachment. Jasmine does not consider the breast cancer as part of her body.
Keeping records
Do yourself a favor and keep a journal on your medical journey. Document every test you are having done, when you had it done, why it was being done, and the results. More detail is better than less.
Mammogram
To begin with there are three types of mammograms that are used for specific purposes in respect to breast cancer:
Screening mammogram Diagnostic Mammogram Digital mammography
Next step: Ultrasound
To begin with there are three types of mammograms that are used for specific purposes in respect to breast cancer.
Doppler ultrasound
This will show how much blood flow there is to the area.
MRI
This time the procedure uses magnetic waves to detect abnormalities. An MRI paints a different picture for the medical staff.
Ultrasound guided biopsy
Ultrasounds show what is going on in the breast because it shows live images.
Blood Tests
Technology is certainly moving forward in leaps and bounds when it comes to both diagnosing and treating cancer.
Treatment
Your options will totally depend on your type of cancer and the circumstances. It is very important that you realize that although cancer is categorized you are an individual.
A Lumpectomy
In this case the abnormal growth and a margin of what is considered good tissue around the growth is cut away.
A Mastectomy
The entire breast is removed, and in most cases depending on the cancer of course no radiation or chemo is required.
Jasmine's choice
Jasmine listened to her choices very carefully. Then when she fully understood them she began her research and she choose to...
seen enough?
