But first let me tell you how it all started...
It was 1999 and I'd just come to America from Brazil.
You see before then, my parents ran a successful business. However in
1997 the president of Brazil thought it would be a GOOD idea to block
all incoming capital from the banks...
...which of course then led to a massive outbreak of unemployment,
business closings and eventually my parents being forced to close up
shop.
Frustrated and broke...we got up and left for the U.S.
And one thing is for sure. Coming from Brazil to the U.S. with hardly
any education, barely able to speak English and no money is a pretty
rough adjustment.
Having just the minimum amount of education to get by, I ended up
working 60+ hours a week doing the “dirty work”.
You know...cleaning floors, washing dishes, picking up trash. THAT
kind of work.
I'll be honest, when you're picking up garbage for a living – it
doesn't take you long to realize you were born to do something better
with your life.
Eventually I decided to become a Jiu-Jitsu fighter, won a few
championships and was working my way up...until one day I severely
tore both my knee and shoulder and was forced to get reconstructive
surgery on both.
And just like that...my fighting career was over.
BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD
Going back to the same old lifestyle of doing a job I hated for
little money...I desperately started searching for "signs" that there
was something better out there for me.
And for me.. the sign came as a realtor.
You see, one day shortly after I was helping my mother pick out a
home and I noticed something which changed my life forever...
Our realtor was simply driving us around town, having fun with
us...and when we picked out a house SHE WAS HANDED A BIG FAT CHECK FOR
$7,000!
And just like that...the light bulb went off.
I jumped into real estate trying to soak up as much information as I
could. At this point in my life I had just gotten married to my wife
Diana, and BOTH of us were unemployed.
I took a real estate course, searched like crazy to work for a broker
and finally found an amazing broker willing to accept me.
In that year I worked 50 hour workweeks (at least it wasn't 60+
anymore!) and ended UP SELLING 70 HOUSES IN MY 1ST YEAR.
My family and friends were amazed...
The year after that, my wife met someone who was investing in Real
Estate - rehabbing and wholesaling houses. They’d just gotten back
from a 2 week vacation in the Bahamas and left a card...inviting us to
a local REIA club meeting.
"Hmm, they are taking 2 week vacations while I'm working my butt off,
building someone else's business? Something about my situation doesn't
sound right!
And as soon as that meeting started...I was hooked.
That night I decided that starting in that moment I would spend every
waking hour dedicated to discovering how to make enough money to work
for myself and do my OWN real estate deals instead of making other
people money.
Next, I virtually drowned myself in real estate education and got out
there and did some deals. In fact...my wife and I bought multi- family
houses, rehabbed them and converted them into Condos.
HERE'S HOW WE DID IT:
We found partners with money (since we still had almost none), we did
the work...and split profits 50/50.
Pretty cool deal don't you think?
After just a SINGLE deal out of those 3...we'd pocketed a cool
$125,000. From my FIRST deal!
That year we went on to do a total of 6 deals in various aspects of
real estate (rentals, condo conversions and rehabs mostly)...each
worth roughly $100,000 each.
Not a bad deal eh? Going from being unemployed to making about
$600,000 in a single year?
The best part was...I was working about half the time as I was before
I was unemployed!
BUT THEN THE MARKET CHANGED...
When the market changes, the game changes.
And at this point, we felt it was necessary to switch from converting
condos, rentals and rehabs to getting more into the wholesale/short
sale aspect of real estate.

The great part is that even if you make mistakes...you'll still be
able to easily profit. When you learn the CORRECT way to invest in
wholesale real estate you'll have such a wide margin of error - it's
next to impossible to have a hard time finding a buyer.

WHY I LOVE MAKING MISTAKES - AND YOU SHOULD TOO
Many people are afraid of making mistakes. They think that for some
reason it's going to ruin their lives or make them go broke or some
crazy stuff like that. But it's not true.
Mistakes are probably the BEST thing you could ever do to yourself if
you want to take life by the horns and start making serious money.
And speaking of mistakes...what about the mistakes you make every day
that you probably never even thought about.
You know, the mistake you sit at all day long...the mistake you
secretly despise in your own mind but don't speak up about in fear of
losing it.
I'M TALKING ABOUT YOUR J-O-B.
One thing I don't understand is why people hang on to their jobs for
dear life when they could be out making real estate deals instead.
Here's something to think about...
If you work the normal 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year...do you
realize you're working 2080 hours and probably making something like
$50,000?
What if you could do a single real estate deal and make an entire
YEARS worth of your salary...in 1 deal? What would that feel like?
CAN YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF WALKING UP TO YOUR BOSS AND SAYING \"SCREW

Ok so maybe you don't even think that's possible.
Well, believe it...because it is.
I KNOW IT'S POSSIBLE BECAUSE I'VE PERSONALLY DONE IT DOZENS OF TIMES.
But just in case that's still a little "over the top" for you, let me
bring those numbers down a bit to something more "realistic".
Let's say each weekend you went out looking for deals and got just 1
every other week, for a total of 2 in an entire month.
That doesn't sound too hard does it? Hell if I really wanted to I
could probably do 10 in a month...but we'll stick with 2 for this
example.
The average deal that we receive we make between $10,000 - $30,000
per deal.
DO YOU THINK YOU COULD LIVE WITH CLOSING 1 DEAL PER MONTH...WORKING
JUST A FEW HOURS ON THE WEEKENDS IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
I think I could!
And the best part is.. doing 1 or 2 deals per month is NOTHING when
you start doing this on a regular basis. If I only closed 1 deal in a
