couple weeks to bottle and drink, right?... Well, bringing a couple

brewing… Added bittering and finishing hops and was ready to pitch
my yeast…

I grabbed the pot and submerged it in an ice bath… the ice
dissappeared 15 minutes later and my brew was still 100 °F hot…

In an attempt to salvage my brew I rushed to the freezer and scraped
every single ice cube and frost off the ice maker and just threw it in
the pot… a bit of stirring and cold water splashing the side of the
pot brought it down to about 84 °F…

Still too hot to pitch my yeast, but it had been about two hours and
I’d heard chances of infection are high from this point on…

Didn’t want to risk it so I just decided to pour my brew into the
fermenting bucket...

A few minutes later my brew reached yeast pitching temperature… but
things got worse…

Something I did during the boil shot my Original Gravity well above
expected levels… meaning the beer was more dense than I had
