FINANCIALLY HEALTHY?

May 6th, 2010

I know that it is difficult today to get in a financially healthy
situation, the unemployment rate is high, home values have declined,
401k's have shrunk in value. If you do have a job, you probably have
not seen a raise in years. Always be thankful for what is good in your
life and try to change that which is not.

A second income from a side business would allow you to create a more
healthier situation faster than just getting by with one. The wealthy
have known this for years, if you want to have financial freedom, you
will need more than one income stream coming into your home.

I do have a pretty good job and I am very thankful, I enjoy getting
paid to fly an airplane, but I know that I do not want to do this job
for another 20 plus years. So, I have side businesses that are
generating income and creating long term wealth for me so I will be
able to walk away from my airline job in the near future if I choose
and still have a very good quality of life.

Start today, get motivated, let me show you an easy way to earn some
additional income. I love the network marketing business because it is
a people business and it is performance based. If you want to earn
more then you work more, the income that can be generated from this
business is amazing. I have met three American Airline pilots that
quit their six figure job to work this business full time because the
money part time was so good. Check out this short clip below and feel
free to leave me a comment or follow me on twitter at

STAYING POSITIVE

May 5th, 2010

Man is it hard somedays to maintain that positive can do attitude!
Today was a beautiful day to fly and everything was going well, that's
why I was really surprised to fly with such a negative person on a day
like today. Usually when the weather is bad or we are encountering
delays I can understand a little better.

I try to read a lot when I can, I read things that are motivational
and inspirational. I find that it helps to keep me in the right frame
of mind and keeps me focused on what it is that I am striving for.
Currently I am reading,  Its Your Time by Joel Osteen. I find his
messages very powerful and reminds me what is important.

So many times people cannot let go of the past, but if you do not, it
can destroy your future. "To reach up for the new, you must let go of
the old" What is behind you is not nearly as important as what lies in
front of you. Do not get wrapped up in your story. I hear it all the
time why people cannot do something, why they cannot start a business
or go back to school or invest in real estate.

Stop making excuses, we have all had bad experiences, let it go! From
bad realationships to bad business deals, we have all made mistakes,
move on and let go of that chapter in your life. Everything that you
have been through was preperation for where you are right now. I
believe the size of your problems only reflect the promise of your
future. Stay positive, stay focused on what it is that is really
important and don't let someone else steal your joy.

SUCCESS STORY

May 5th, 2010

Today was another typical day one, it starts with a mad dash out the
door only to fight traffic at 130 in the afternoon, where are all of
these people going at this time of the day? Anyway, I bearly make my
230 flight to Chicago. No surprises, it was a full flight and I had to
ride the jumpseat.

Both crew members, the Captain & the First Officer were the same age.
I notice a difference right away though, even though the Captain makes
more money at his job the first officer had a side business that he
had been working for over two years that generated more money on the
side than both of there salaries combined.

The First Officer was very happy and pleasant and was not worried at
all that his company pension was no longer there for him, he had a
plan B and it was working great. The Captain was a little grumpy and
really did not like hearing about the success that me and his First
officer was experiencing through our side businesses.

Take action in your life, I read an interesting interview  a year
ago about a group of older people that were ask about their regrets in
life and not one had a regret for something they did, but their
regrets were for the things that they did not do in their life and now
it was too late.

I would rather take a chance at something and fail than not to try at
all. The First Officer that I met on this flight had been putting his
ideas on the back burner for years, to afraid to take a chance. It was
not until he felt like he did not have a chance that he took action,
his regret was not taking action sooner.

TIME OFF

May 2nd, 2010

I am currently on day 6 of my two week vacation and it is so nice to
be at home! Being gone 4 days home 3, you just never get the real
appreciation for what it is like to be home. I just spent the first
week-end with my family in months and it was so nice to be around
friends and family members that are use to having week-ends off.

I was so spoiled as a senior first officer, I was able to hold
week-ends off for years. Since I have upgraded to Captain, there has
been little movement and I am still in a pretty junior position, but
that is okay. Thanks to my side businesses I will be in a position to
drop more of my trips that I do not want to fly, once our staffing
levels at the airline return to normal.

I cannot stress the importance of having a side business, taxes are
going up and with inflation most peoples paychecks are just not
keeping up. With a sidebusiness, you get a lot of tax breaks, some
additional income and some diversity. What would you do today if you
lost your job? Do not wait until that happens to take action, be
proactive instead of reactive.

I would love to share with you a business that I have been involved
with for about 6 months that is really taking off. The team of people
that I am working with are the best. Some are already millionaires and
others are close, this is truely an amazing product and the company is
incredible. Drop me a line and I will share some valuable information
with you or follow me on twitter at mikejonesnow

HEALTH margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } -->As many of you
know health and wellness is very important for me and my family. I
find it very alarming that obesity and other diet-related health
problems are a leading cause of death in America, surpassing the
smoking problem our government has done so much about.

Four Americans die every 18 minutes because of their diets, and our
children are expected to live a life ten years less than that of our
own due to the landscape of our food that we have built around them.
It is time to wake up and start taking better care of ourselves and
our children.

It is very difficult to get the nutrition that we need in our diets
today. Let's face it, it is impossible for most of us to consume all
of the fruits and vegetables that we need on a daily basis to keep our
body healthy. We must supplement if we are to stay healthy and we must
find the time to exercise.

I know we are all busy and time seems to get away from us, but
everyone needs to do better. You can't afford not to, you will either
pay a little now for better health or a lot later, the choice is
yours. Obesity costs Americans 10 percent of our health care bills.
150 billion dollars a year, in ten years, it is set to double to 300
billion. That is a higher cost than what we are now spending on
smoking related illnesses. We are now one of the most unhealthy
countries in the world.

It is time to take action for you and your family, contact me today
and let me share some information with you. Information that will
provide you with the knowledge that you need, so you and your family
can have a healthier lifestyle. If you will take the time to eat
better, exercise and supplement your diet, you will be amazed in the
difference it will make in your life.

NO RESPECT

April 24th, 2010

I always give people the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes it can
be very difficult! For instance, my flight attendant for this trip is
from India, he is very bright, professional and really enjoys his job.
A couple months back on a flight into Miami while the baggage was
being offloaded, a passenger asked why he was not opening the door.
His response was polite and professional, he explained that he had to
wait until the gate check bags were brought to the front of the
aircraft.

At this time the man jumped up and punched him in the face and
shouted that he was a terrorist and for everyone to get him. The
pilots had to come into the cabin to pull the man off and defuse the
situation. This man was not only a military person, but a member of
the Navy Seals. What gets into people sometimes, where has the mutual
respect for one another gone? I especially hold our military personnel
to a higher standard than most people.

This is an extreme example of what I am talking about, but I see it
everyday. The morales and values that we use to have in this country
are gone. I know times are bad and a lot of people have fallen on hard
times and there is stress everywhere that you turn, but being ugly
toward one another will only make a bad situation worse.

I have been so impressed with this flight attendant, how he can do
this job so well and have such a wonderful outlook and personality and
be that way everyday. He is not worried or stressed about anything, he
has multiple businesses' and makes more money than some of our pilots.
He does the job because he loves to travel and loves working with
people, the money he makes is just some additional spending money for
him.

When you position yourself properly and take care of yourself
financially, You have a better disposition about yourself and can take
things in stride and the little things in life, like waiting a few
extra minutes for your baggage will not enrage you to the point that
you want to physically harm someone. When you are in a stressful
situation, just try to think about something that is good in your life
or a time when things were exactly the way that you wanted them to be
and try to figure out away to get back to that place. Do not sweat the
small stuff, life is too short!

DOES BACK PAIN GO AWAY?

April 24th, 2010

I have been talking about back pain and interviewing doctors on this
subject for several months now. It is the number one complaint among
airline crews, I personally have suffered from back pain for the last
25 years. It was not until I had my son that I really began to see
just how it was affecting me. I, like most men, just kept thinking
that it will go away. Until recently, researchers believed that back
pain would heal on its on.

A recent study has showned that is just not true, when back pain is
not treated, it may go away temporarily but will most likely return.
If back pain is ignored, it will not go away, it will continue to
affect you for long periods of time and may even require surgery. If
you will take some simple steps and learn some back care techniques,
you can feel better and avoid time away from work or not having
quality time with your family because of back pain.

1. Exercise regularly. An inactive lifestyle contributes to
lower-back pain

2. Don't twist your body while lifting.

3. Push, rather than pull, when you must move heavy objects.

4. Don't lift by bending over. Instead, bend your hips and knees to
squat to pick up the object. Keep your back straight and hold the
object close to uor body.

5. If you must sit for long periods, take frequent breaks and
stretch.

6. Wear flat shoes or low heels

If your back pain persist, a visit to a chiropractor could be very
helpful. Chiropractic spinal manipulation is a safe and effective
treatment for your back pain. It reduces pain, increases range of
motion and can reduce or eliminate pain medication. According to Dr
Jennifer Lidstrom owner and medical director at Lakeside Sports
