1. WORKING OUT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH IS A BIG NO-NO. Don't be fooled
that your body will burn body fat. It simply can't when no food is
available.

Ensure you have a light snack in you to give energy to the body so
it can burn fat off! Otherwise your energy will crash, and you might
experience nausea or dizziness. Eating is the key to your success!

2. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH LOW INTENSITY LONG DURATION CARDIO!
If you want to burn that FAT OFF INCREASE YOUR INTENSITY AND PERFORM
INTERVALS! Alternate your speed between comfortable and hard to very
hard!

For example 15 seconds normal speed, followed by a 15 second speed
increase! Repeat. You will save time and be more efficient with your
workouts. The harder you workout the more calories you burn!

3. There is a approximately a 2 hour glycemic window after exercise
in which your body will be more willing to utilize nutrients,
vitamins, electrolytes post workout. THE QUICKER YOU CONSUME A HEALTHY
NUTRITIOUS POST WORKOUT SNACK THE BETTER OFF YOU WILL FEEL THE NEXT
DAY.

Additionally this fuel will assist your body in replenishing and
reenergizing your muscle cells! Look at a 3:1 carbs to protein ratio
to increase your blood sugar and insulin response to promote this
recovery.

4. Even if your goal is primarily to lose body fat, strength
training should never be overlooked. BY BUILDING LEAN MUSCLE MASS
INCREASES YOUR METABOLISM SO AT REST YOU ARE STILL BURNING EXTRA
CALORIES!

Keep your rest minimal and try working through a full body circuit
to work all the major muscle groups. Also, never neglect your legs
since they are such large muscle groups. If you train them hard they
will turn your body into a fat burning machine!

5. Fat doesn't make you fat. Ya I said it. FAT IS ESSENTIAL ONLY IN
THE RIGHT FORMS however. Cut out the following foods: Fried, processed
and fast food. Consume full fat yogurts, avocado's, almonds, macadamia
nuts, lean meats, cottage cheese. Cooking foods with Coconut Oil will
actually aid your body in burning fat.

Fat from right sources will curb your appetite while generating
production of our most essential hormones! Fat doesn't make you fat,
eating more calories then you can burn off will!

I'm a certified personal trainer with almost 12 years under my
belt. I've seen it all. The quick fixes, the lazy guy, the meat
heads..... All of them. Trust me!

For starters, I never really wanted to be the guy on the web who

think of people doing things online as weird. Only big companies with

How did I get to where I am today?

When I was a kid, there were a few events that ROCKED my world to
where I am today. I'll only tell you one today. Stick around and I'll
probably tell you my other stories. They are also part of what moulded
my life to where I am today.

Me and some other kids who I didn't know all that long but I
thought were my friends wanted to play football on the beach, and
being a young teenager and scrawny for my age made me a bit self
conscious, at least in those years.

The other team would wear shirts and my team took our shirts off.
The other guys instantly started laughing in front of the girls
calling me toothpick and pencil neck. They never asked me to hang out
again, the feeling was mutual but the sting never left.

Maybe it has affected me too much? I still haven't forgotten what
was said to me. Maybe I was a skinny dude... But geez why say it to
some poor kid who is trying to fit in?

3 months... I lost 50 pounds... got to 9% body fat

While I was completing my MBA I gained a lot of weight due to stress
and lack of time to eat properly and exercise. I packed on over 50
pounds of weight and tipped the scales at 210 pounds and 16% body fat.
I started feeling more and more tired and I found it difficult to
concentrate in class. I tried in vain to loss the weight by myself but
my efforts went unrewarded as I just did not know how to effectively
and efficiently loss the weight and keep it off.

During my summer break between the first and second year of my MBA I

just how out of shape I was! Yes I was sore and tired after those
workouts, but I almost immediately started to have more energy during
the day and I looked forward to training with Jeff as often as I

show me some of the most innovative and effective exercises I had ever

the short span of three months training with Jeff, I lost 50 pounds

Jeff's teachings... I can lift heavier weights

Jeff's teachings has gave me new insight on exercises and ways to
change my workout routines. Incorporating legs in my workouts is huge,
as i can feel strength in other area of my body.

I've noticed that i can lift heavier weights and just looking more
tone than before. Adding more weight to my body, but not bad weight.

I think if I didn't listen to his advice, my workout routines would
be the same old and pretty boring. I think I would've peaked, but his

Fast forward a few years later.

Not too long after my 'skinny' incident happened, my Dad did
something I 'll never forget.

He brought home a bench press set and a bunch of weights. Down into
the basement it went. I think he was trying to motivate me to try it

People believe that crap. They seriously do. And those who believe
it, tell their friends who tell their friends. It's an awful game.

Most people think they should only eat breakfast, lunch and dinner3
square meals a day. Then to lose weight, they assume they should cut
out one of those meals, usually breakfast.

However, this is just not the case. Only eating 2 or 3 times a day
can actually cause you to gain weight.

Well, what I'm about to tell you may shock you! Eating more like 5
or 6 smaller meals a day can actually increase your metabolism and
cause you to lose weight! All without adding any exercise!

calories. But not all diets are created equal: Fad diets that strictly

stick with but also unhealthy.

you can't live with. Your diet should be scientifically proven to

Fact: Eating breakfast is essential in a weight loss plan.

Studies have shown that breakfast eaters tend to weigh less than
breakfast skippers. Breakfast helps to kick-start your metabolism,
satisfies your hunger first thing in the morning and prevents
overeating later in the day.

A healthy breakfast should include a source of complex
carbohydrates, fiber and lean protein to help keep you satisfied.

MYTH THREE: SNACKING IS A BAD IDEA.
Fact: Snacking can be a smart weight loss strategy.

Snacking itself isn't the problem - it's food choices and portion
sizes that can do a dieter in. Smart snacking can help curb your
appetite between meals and prevent overeating. But be sure to count
snacks as part of your total daily calories.

Choose calorie- and portion-controlled snacks of 100 to 150
calories, and stick to healthier foods such as fruits, vegetables,
nuts, low-fat yogurt and nutritious snack bars.

MYTH FOUR: CARBOHYDRATES MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT.
Fact: Calories are calories.

Excess calories cause weight gain, not too many carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates are a good source of energy and necessary for a balanced
diet.

Choose complex carbohydrates such as fruits, vegetables and whole
grains, which are good sources of nutrients (including fiber and B
vitamins). Limit refined carbohydrates such as soda, candy and cakes.

MYTH FIVE: EATING AFTER 8 P.M. CAUSES WEIGHT GAIN.
Fact: What's important is how many calories you consume in a day,
not when you eat them.

You can have a late snack and still stick to your diet, as long as
you don't exceed your total daily calorie allowance. No matter when
you eat, your body will store extra calories as fat.
