I know the frustration when your dog is not behaving the way you would like. I know because I have experienced it myself first hand. I have also seen other dog owner’s frustration …. and at time, fear with dogs out of control, not responding or not listening.
Often all of this could be avoided only if we knew a little bit more about our best friend

The World Through Your Dog’s Eyes
Have you ever been on a vacation in a foreign country where language and culture are so different from your own? Isn’t confusing when a word or a gesture has a total different meaning? When the rules of the country are different from your own and you need to adapt?
How about when you are trying to learn the language and when you think you start getting it and you realize a word can have different meaning depending on the context.

First a Lot of Misunderstanding and a World of Confusion
Dogs and people are two different species living under the same roof. Dogs have a language and a culture on their own and are non verbal communicators.
We express ourselves with words and gesture. We also have a body language and we are not always aware off it. We often send out mixed signals.
Our dogs try to make sens of all of that and they get confused.
On the other end, they do things such as digging, barking, pulling on the leash to go places, get exited about things we cannot even see or smell, and we get frustrated and confused with behaviors that are not appropriate in our world.
May Be Through His Behavior, Your Dog Is Trying To Tell You Something – But Are You Listening?
Dog training is not just hands on training, getting your dog to do stuff. With a little bit of knowledge about the dog world and a better understanding of how your dog communicates with you and other dogs, you can make some real stride with your training and solve or prevent a lot of behaviors issues.
This is what we offer here with HappyDog Connections. A place where dog owners can learn about their dog and understand canine behaviors. It makes it easier to build a relationship with your dog and live in harmony together.
