Let me give you a little background on where "The Missing Concept
to Staying in Business" came from. I am a highly educated physicist
who has had many businesses. Some were successful and some not. I have
been successful in my work. I have written over 100 technical papers
and have over 20 patents. I am also very creative.

While working for a major corporation, I owned several businesses.
Each day I would have people approach me and ask how they too could
have a business. Having a business is just another way people say make

profitable for several years then a recession ended the business. You

I declared bankruptcy. My remaining business partner was hurt
financially. This put me in a league with other famous persons.
Abraham Lincoln for example failed in business and politics 5 times
before he was elected president. I am sure you can think of current
billionaires who have declared bankruptcy multiple times.

Lincoln for example failed at first because he did not understand

business. All stores but 2 closed. The part of town where the business
was became a ghost town. The freeway was under construction all around
the business. There were many possible situations where I could set
the blame, but setting blame away from myself would not allow me the
opportunity to understand what actually caused the business to fail.

After the bankruptcy money seemed to flow my way. I found new and
more profitable ways to make money. Yet, unknown to me there was
something controlling my life in a way not necessarily constructive to
personal success. I read all the books on successful businesses. I
read all the motivational books. I listened to others. The concept I
needed was not among the information. There was a piece of information
missing, the prime overriding concept. A concept I needed to control
to become successful.

The third person who wanted to go into business with me found out I
could buy real-estate for no money down and with a positive cash flow
from day one. He jumped at the chance to be in business with me.
Others cowered at the thought of having real-estate even when it was
given to them. They seemed to cringe at the idea of free money.

I bought out the third person's interest in the property. He
received a profit from the buyout even though the real-estate market
had not appreciated significantly in value over the time the
real-estate was held. Can't argue with a profit when no cash was
involved.

The fourth person who wanted to go into business with me had all the
markings of a good partner. They complimented my capabilities. We
started a business in a high tech field. The business prospered making
at its peak over a million a year in gross sales. I sold my interest
to the person leaving them with a diverse successful business. The
reason for the sale was multifaceted, but mostly due to personal
problems on my part. I was just spending too much time working!

At this time I finally figured out what aspect of my life I was not
controlling. The concept came to me. Hard work is required to make a
business but there is much more to a business than the work. There is
the old adage, “location, location, location.” This is just one
concept over and over again. It is not even the main aspect.

A business owner could have the best possible location and still
not be successful. There are many more concepts given in all the media
