VISIT CHARLES' WEB PAGE HERE I first came to Sheet Music Digital
(Dot Com) while looking for a piece of sheet music for a friend of my
mother. The daughter of this friend had a Senior Recital coming up and
needed a legitimate copy of a specific piece of music immediately. My
mother thought that I could just copy it from one of the many (legal)
fake books that I had, but I explained to her that even if the song
was in one of them, (which it wasn't) the daughter could not use it
during a College Recital because of the stringent copyright
restrictions that had to be enforced to protect the reputation of that
institution.
I did a little research on the song and then looked for a place
where I could possibly obtain it:
1. Legally
2. Online, and
3. Quickly
Sheet Music Digital provided all of my requirements, and at a
reasonable price. While online, I noticed that the site was offering a
lifetime membership at a very reasonable rate. I had already spent the
same amount of money to obtain a yearly membership from a similar site
that did not have nearly the range or scope of this site, so I talked
to my wife about this (in the words of Rumpole of the Bailey "She Who
Must Be Obeyed!") and we worked it into the budget.
Now, I am not only a lifetime member, but this site has graciously
offered me space to post my own arrangements and compositions, as well
as a way for my students to access them in a safe specific
environment. Some of the major excuses for not practicing have always
been:

2. My sister colored all over my music
(Yes, this really does happen!)
3. My mom threw all my music out when she cleaned my room
(I didn't believe it either, until the mom called me up in tears!)

that they have lost, destroyed, mutilated, or fed to the dog! Some of
my students are actually enthusiastic about this! Others are resigned
to the fact. I am ecstatic.

virtually all of my questions, (and I am way too fussy!) and all I can
say is that I am happy to have found a new home away from home.
