Advantages of Online Mentoring, Coaching and Tutoring
Today Internet learning or online coaching is accepted in almost all schools and colleges all over the world and is creating a major change in the method of education.
Online learning has shaped new paradigms for mentoring and learning, which is quite dissimilar from the traditional education system and from earlier technology based instruction.
Online courses involve many different combinations of components like; online syllabus, use of mailing lists, lectures using flow of audio/video, chat rooms, extensive quizzes, conferences and problem sets as well. These courses are different from the one which are offered in traditional systems.
Although the method of instruction and techniques applied in online mentoring are fundamentally the same as those used in traditional institutions, some institutions still want final assessments held on campus. Institutions which go for online assessments, tests were automatically scored when finished, with instant results displayed to the learner.
Everybody knows that mentoring and training is very essential for students or learners to succeed. People usually hesitate to use online coaching and mentoring just because they don’t know much about the technique. It is very easy to explain the outs and ins of the subject online.
First thing asked by the mentor when you come in contact with him/her is what the student wants from an online course. Every coach or mentor wants the student to help and try keeping the student on track. The mentor needs to understand that online teaching can be enjoyable but the only thing to keep in mind is utilizing the time properly and things will work out well.
The other thing to be keep in mind is that online mentoring or the coaching of the students is a livelihood. This spirit of fulfilled students will help the mentors to come across additional students. Unsatisfied students, keep other students away from seeking online coaching and mentoring services. Online mentors must teach their pupils the capability of seeing and understanding their aim and objectives.
The key advantage of online mentoring and coaching is the convenience that it provides. It allows the learner to learn and study at their own speed and convenience without any restrictions and compulsion of time as needed in traditional education. Online coaching provides flexibility to the students. They can access the material available online from any site and at any time of the day.
