My Fantasy Football life started 10 years ago, in 1999, when I joined my first Fantasy Football League, just a friends league, they needed another person to replace someone who dropped out of the league.
It was the first time I had ever played, the first time I had ever even checked it out, I was just doing it for the fun of it, to learn about it, to make the NFL season a bit more interesting. I didn't know anything about Fantasy Football, but I did know about Football and that is the first trick to winning.
I did of course win the championship, they did not invite me back.
Most people that play Fantasy Football do not know much about football, they think they do, but in reality they focus on their favorite team, normally their home team and they have no interest in the other teams unless their team is playing that team. Even then, their entire focus is on their team beating the hell out of the other team.
This has nothing at all to do with Fantasy Football.
So, although many can name every player on their favorite team and the top "Names" in the league, they have no clue who the 2nd WR is, who gets the 3rd down or goal line carries or who the lock down Cornerbacks are on the other teams in the league.
They don't know why this player had a bad game or why they shouldn't have started him. They don't know why their RB only got 60 yards and no TDs while some RB they never heard of on the same team got 2 TDs.
They beat down the doors to pick up a player that had one great week, a player that is not on any team in their league, he has no business being on a Fantasy Team since that will be his only big game all season, but everyone runs to get him, leaving other solid players to be picked up by the smarter owners.
This isn't everyone of course, many may be very knowledgeable about players and stats and kick ass at the draft, but then something happens, they expected that team they drafted to just win it all for them, they do not pay attention, they do not know how to handle injuries and they do not know how to deal with bye weeks.
They let work, wives and kids, it's called life, take up their attention, take away their focus, the same guys that are so excited and brilliant at the draft will not even know that one of their starting RBs is injured the same week their back up has a bye and by the time they realize it, it's too late.
My point is, I don't just win because I'm a Fantasy Football God, which I am, I win because 50% of the owners in any league have no business being in the league and I just out focus the others.
There is nothing more dangerous for an owner than thinking he is smarter than he is, I have a reason to think I'm a genius at this stuff, most people don't, yet, they are convinced they are right, right with their line up, right with their draft picks, right with everything and they refuse to change anything, they marry their players, they don't care what the experts think, they don't care what NFL Network or ESPN says, they know it all and they are sticking to it. That turns out to be their downfall.
Last year, my Championship team finished the season and won the Championship with Tyler Thigpen and Matt Schaub at QB. That league allowed you to start two.
Thigpen was on the Chiefs, so no one wanted him, I didn't need a star, I needed a QB that consistently put up points and would keep doing this during my Playoffs and Championship games, so I grabbed him late in the year.
Matt Schaub was dropped by another owner when he got injured, I picked up his backup, Sage Rosenfels, knowing he would do the job until Schaub came back and also knowing that no one would want Schaub that late in the year since the teams that made the playoffs would not want to change the QBs that got them to the playoffs, so when Schaub was healthy, I dropped Rosenfels and picked up Schaub and he put up very nice numbers in my playoffs and my Championship game.
I only tell this story because I want you to understand that there is a strategy to Fantasy Football when played correctly, it's like chess, think 3 moves ahead of everyone else.
The problem is, you don't have the time needed to at least make the playoffs every year like I have.
The "experts" can't even touch that.
This is important. My stats are for 7 different leagues, most of the leagues I was in more than one year of course, so it's 14 teams over 10 years in 7 different leagues, I won Championships in 3 different leagues. I didn't do this in one league with a bunch of idiots, I did this in 3 friend leagues and 4 online leagues with strangers and I don't play in $25 leagues, the leagues I play in are $250 bucks and once in a while I will throw in a $100 league just for giggles.
I will make sure that you are no longer at the bottom of the standings, if this has been your situation.

You could do this yourself, but to be really on top of things now a days, you would have to watch the NFL Network and ESPN most of the time you are not sleeping. You would need the NFL Package on Direct TV and have every game running on your computer so that you can actually see what they didn't show you in the highlight show. You would have to follow all of the relevant people on Twitter. In other words, you have to devote 90% of your waking hours and some money besides league fees to Fantasy Football.
You can go do that, some people are happy doing exactly that, me for instance, but if you can't because you have a job or some other distractions or you just don't want to devote that much time and you still want to win, then you need to be a member of Fantasy Football Domination.
