Before I could deal with my emotional issues with food, I needed to make sure my diet was giving my the nutrients I needed to stop the physical addictions I had to food.  You see...

 

Foods really are addictive!

I discovered that many health foods are highly addictive and contain addictive substances called heterocyclic amines (HCAs).  HCAs influence neurotransmitters in your brain and can play havoc with your emotionals and physical well being.  Some can cause aggressive behavior, while others can cause you to feel tired and depressed.
