But, what about us who just are starting out and don’t have a list? Since we can’t compete, we’re basically donating money to their bank account every time we join something new.
Listen to this: In this “learn how to make money” industry that we are in there is a 95% failure rate. Now first off, from my personal experience I actually believe that number is wrong. From what I’ve seen, we really have a 99% failure rate—that means only 1% of the people ever break through and make any real money.
So let me ask you a question….if you were going sky diving and before you paid your money there was a sign that said 95% of our parachutes fail…
Would you still fork over your hard-earned money to take a chance on a parachute that would fail 95% of the time and not open?
Of course not! The second you read that you would be out of there. Well that’s how it is in this industry. So what keeps us looking and searching for more opportunities even after we know all this? I’ll tell you what, it’s HOPE. Hope that somehow we could beat the odds and be a part of the tiny percentage of people who actually break through and create the life they deserve.
My Confessions...
The Ugly Side Of This Business...
As I was telling you, about two years ago when I got to look behind the curtain and see what goes on back there…BOY, was I in for a surprise. Yeah, I saw a lot of money but I also saw a lot of other things: broken promises, upset customers, marriages on the verge of divorce, people using their retirement money and hoping they would not become part of that 95% failure rate.
It was just horrible. The stuff I found out that really went on behind the scenes would shock most people. When you take a step back to take a look and wonder why the money making secret is never shared, it makes perfect sense why they don’t want us little guys to know. You see, once you know the secret you will be able to break through and not be part of that 95% failure rate. And, you won’t need to follow a “guru” ever again.
The secret is actually just plain old-fashioned common sense, yet 100,000s of people sign up every day for a new business opportunity or “how to make money” product and are never told this secret upfront.
Simply this: For you to become a 6 figure income earner in this industry….You MUST have your own RESPONSIVE LIST! (Responsive being a key word there.) You see, some “heavy hitters” have a list of 50,000 people but not many of those people really care what they have to say.
Look, I know some everyday people just like us who have a list of only 1,000 people and it’s a very responsive list. Meaning every time an email goes out to the list they take action. Now that’s common sense right, heck you have probably heard that once before. But let’s think about the way in which this was presented to you. It was probably mentioned in passing, as you heard someone tell you before list building is important blah, blah, blah.
BUT--has any sponsor or “guru” said to you before…”OK, before you buy into this biz opp or try to sell this product do you have a list of customer to sell to”? Most likely not. That’s the dirty little secret they conveniently forget to ever mention. The fact is, that 95% failure rate would go WAY down if you have your own list of prospects to sell to.
I created a list after I become educated on the basics of Internet marketing. See, before I even started creating my first list, I researched and found out what the 4 major money vehicles of Internet marketing are. You see, I had to figure out exactly what the differences are between being a newbie and what I today call a wealthy Internet marketer.
Once I figured out the basics, I created a step-by-step 10 day plan for myself on exactly what I was going to do…that way I could quickly build my own list.
