PERSONAL GROWTH WITH CORINNE EDWARDS
FROM THE EVERYDAY . . . TO THE SLIGHTLY OUTRAGEOUS . . . TO THE
EVERLASTING . . . WE COVER IT HERE!
SALES, LIES AND NAKED TRUTHS
INTRODUCTION
This ain’t your Daddy’s sales manual. It bears little
resemblance to Napoleon Hill’s _Think and Grow Rich _– or at the
other extreme, Donald Trump’s book, _Think Big and Kick Ass…_
This is geared toward you – the salesperson in the action –
whether you are brand new, a multi-millionaire or a candidate for the
lead in the _Death of a Salesman._
The sales game has changed. The tactics used in the past of
hammering the deal home do not apply any more. No more “kick ass.”
Those sales techniques are LIES.
Talk to your friends. Whether they are at a car dealership or
shopping for a computer or a new shirt, they hate high pressure,
arm-wrestling selling. Today’s buyer will walk in a minute.
We are in the age of the educated consumer. They have already done
the research. They are on line constantly. They know pretty much in
advance what they are looking for and what they will have to pay for
it.
You are competing and your customer has an allocated budget.
Consumers buy from people they like and enjoy and it is possible you
can get more than your share of that budget.
There are few sales books like this who take you and your life into
the equation. Written for you by someone who knows where you’ve
been and where you want to go.
The question is not whether a consumer will buy what you have to
sell.
This is the NAKED TRUTH.
It is whether they decide to buy it from YOU.
About the Author
Corinne Edwards became a salesperson in one day. It.was snowing.
A letter had come from the bank that morning they were going to
foreclose on her little house and in the afternoon the gas company
shut off her heat. She had two toddlers and was six months pregnant.
A CLICK went off in her head. No more. No way. Never again.
The next day she signed up for a real estate course.
Since then, Corinne Edwards has traveled several life paths - from
business owner to sales trainer, author, lecturer, poet, TV producer,
media coach and blogger. She is the author of three books,_ Low Pain
Threshold;_ _Love Waits on Welcome_ and _Reflections from a Woman
Alone._
She produced/hosted _Book Tours. with Corinne Edwards f_or Wisdom
Television on national cable.
In recent years, her focus has shifted to the area of personal
growth and human potential. Corinne conducted self esteem classes
based on the principals of love and forgiveness in _A Course in
Miracles i_n Cook County Jail. Her program for rehabilitation for
prostitutes was one of the first of its kind in the country.
A natural storyteller and humorist, Corinne Edwards welcomes you to
her world in this unapologetic sales manual.
Her intention is that people in the sales profession are not only
successful, but rediscover themselves and realize their true power.
Currently, her burning passion is blogging on her site
http://www.personal-growth-with-corinne-edwards.com, her life coach
and her new media coaching practice.
She can be reached on her blog or at miraclecor @ aol.com.
ENDORSEMENTS
Just Brilliant. This book can be used by anyone from a housewife to
a CEO. These ideas work!
Peter Van Name – Los Angeles, CA.
I have been in sales my whole life. I love your ideas. It is
important to take the time to digest and apply all you have to say.
People want to know you care and everything you write focuses on
making your client a priority. Not techniques in sales.
Corinne is right. This ain’t your Daddy’s sales manual!
Sondra Bailey – Chicago, IL.
I have been a math professor for years. You would not think that
sales would be part of that profession. But if there is no connection
with your students there is no success.
You cannot kid kids. They are great evaluators. This book applies to
everyone.
Frank Caparelli – Rye, NY
Corinne Edwards makes her points clearly and simply. I can’t
imagine anyone resisting her selling advice. She is the most focused
and caring business person I know.
Arlene Shelley – Chicago, IL.
We have been taught lies all our lives in how to negotiate sales.
What is often overlooked is that people do not want to be manipulated.
They want to buy when you sell them their own ideas.
Corinne really hits her points on the nose. I also took a sales
course a number of years ago where the teacher talked about finding
the customer’s “pain”.
Pain whether it be physical or mental (business) is hard to cope
with and people are motivated to find a cure for it. Sales really
seems to boil down to finding a cure for pain. There is nothing like a
prospect who is self motivated to act. Corinne helps you to do this
magic in her book.
Alexander Bruce - Sandwich IL.
