FROM: Dennis Becker
HAVE YOU HEARD THE FAMOUS SONG THAT GOES "16 TONS AND WHAT DO YOU
GET? ANOTHER DAY OLDER AND DEEPER IN DEBT?"
The basic story behind the song is that the typical coal miner of
that era would load 16 tons a day worth of coal onto the company rail
cars. The company store gave them credit, with which they could
purchase food, clothing, household supplies, etc. At the end of the
week the tab for what they owed would be deducted from their paycheck.
Invariably the miners got to the point where they owed more than their
paycheck, so they got further and further behind every week. They were
locked into their backbreaking job until the debt was paid back, and
the company made sure that wouldn't happen.
_IS THAT WHAT YOU FEEL LIKE AT THE END OF THE DAY? IS YOUR PAYCHECK
ALL SPOKEN FOR BEFORE YOU RECEIVE IT? OR DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE IN THAT
SITUATION AND JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET INTO THAT BOAT?_
Let me tell you a story about someone I know (the names have been
changed to protect the privacy, but I'll bet you could find a similar
story in just about every town in America):
Jack grew up in a small town in middle America. His parents were
hardly rich, but Jack didn't know that. In his mind, if he could play
ball all day, had a warm bed, good friends, and did well in school,
life was perfect.
When Jack went away to college, he met people of different interests
and backgrounds from what he had been accustomed to. In high school,
making the football team was enough to ensure popularity. Now Jack had
to start over.
The first thing Jack needed to fit in was a new wardrobe. Though his
school budget was tight, everyone needed the basics of survival, which
were food, clothing, and shelter, right? At first Jack's parents were
glad to help him out, and life for Jack was good.
As Jack progressed through his college term, he became more and more
independent and self sufficient. He joined a top fraternity, lived off
campus, and being the lady-killer that he was, he was constantly on
the go. The bills for the new clothes, restaurant tabs, shows, out of
town trips, all added up and became budget busters. But life was still
good because Jack was not only popular in school, he was popular with
the credit card companies who fell all over themselves giving Jack
free money.
_OR SO IT SEEMED._
When Jack graduated, he got a good job with a small up and coming
software company. The pay was OK. In the early 70's, Jack was able to
buy a good used car for around $700 and gas was only 30 cents a
gallon. His apartment cost him $60 a month.
After six months, Jack got his first pay raise. He felt great about
that, and decided it was time to get a nicer apartment. It was further
from work, and his old used car wasn't all that reliable, so he
decided it was time to get his first new car. But it seemed strange.
At the end of the month there wasn't as much money left over in Jack's
checking account as there was before the raise. Jack figured it
probably had to do with the car payment, but he wasn't worried because
he'd be getting another raise soon enough.
_UNTIL THEN, HE COULD USE HIS CREDIT CARDS FOR SOME THINGS IF HE RAN
SHORT._
Jack's boss was a real salesman. He regularly took his people out
for lunch, or for drinks after work. One of the things Jack learned
from his boss was that it takes money to make money. Jack believed
that with all his heart. Jack yearned for the better things that his
parents never had, _but that his boss had_.
_IT SEEMED FUNNY, WHEN JACK DIDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER, HE DIDN'T MISS
THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE, BUT NOW ..._
As time progressed, Jack settled down, got married, and started a
family. It was only a short time before Jack and Patricia decided they
really needed to buy a house. They couldn't afford it, but then again
they couldn't afford not to. Rents in the better parts of town were
going up anyway, and they needed more than a 1-bedroom apartment, so
they bit the bullet and took a mortgage on a nice house in the
suburbs.
Fast forward a few years. Jack's career was going really well. He'd
received nice promotions and raises over the years, they even thought
so much of him that he was given a company car. That sure helped
financially.
But he felt stuck. The long hours, the traveling, the constant
pressure, it was getting to him, and his family was noticing it more
and more. One day he talked to an executive that could really use
someone like Jack for a few months, and right then and there Jack
started thinking about going into business for himself, providing
consulting services in his speciality. He could charge top rates, and
he could set his own schedule. He was sure there would be more clients
after the first job wound down. What the heck, he was still young, if
it didn't work out he could always find another good job anywhere.
When Jack resigned from his job, he had to turn in the keys to the
company car he had been using. Of course that meant buying a new one
that was fancy enough to drive up to clients' offices in style.
_JACK'S CREDIT WAS GOOD, SO THAT WAS NO PROBLEM._
Jack also found out the bad news about paying for his own health and
medical insurance, but Jack wasn't worried. In six months he could
make as much as he did in a year at his old job. And there were more
clients out there, maybe he could bring in other people to take on
more contracts.
_MAYBE SOMEDAY SOON JACK COULD BECOME LIKE HIS OLD BOSS. _
After a couple years of consulting, Jack was in constant demand. He
travelled extensively and though he wasn't constantly busy, it was his
choice not to be. After a couple weeks on the road, he deserved a
break, and loved taking his wife and kids to nice vacation resorts.
Life was very good for Jack. If he couldn't afford the trip that
month, he'd take it anyway, _he could always put it on the card and
pay it off when more money came_.
ORDERING INFORMATION
After a few more years, Jack realized that, although he had become
one of the top experts in his field, his area of expertise was in less
demand now. A computer generation is typically five years, and Jack
had been specializing in his area of expertise for eight years. He
could see a problem coming in the future.
Though Jack had put aside some savings, invested in the market, set
up his IRA's, all was not well. Jack had trouble sleeping. He looked
at his mortgage, his rising real estate taxes, his credit card bills,
and his other commitments. Jack sensed that finding new clients wasn't
going to be so easy anymore, and he was worried. How would he pay his
health insurance premiums, the mortgage, the payments on his loans and
credit cards, the private school tuition for his oldest boy, the real
estate taxes? Could he find a job at age 40 with obsolete skills? And
even if he did, _COULD HE STILL AFFORD TO LIVE IN THE MANNER TO WHICH
HE HAD BECOME ACCUSTOMED_?
Does this story sound familiar? Millions of Americans have lived the
good life so well that they're in debt so deep, they're one illness,
one pregnancy, one accident, or one tax or interest-rate increase away
from possible bankruptcy.
-------------------------
Dear friend,
I don't know what your personal situation is, but credit and debt is
something that almost all of us live with. It's like the old saying:
"You can't live with it, and you can't live without it"!
The graphic on the top of the page states my opinion clearly:
CREDIT IS A FOUR LETTER WORD!
4-letter words are normally reserved for the streets, for the rap
albums, for late night television, right?
So why is credit so popular in our society. And more puzzling, why
can't I count?!!
Let me repeat.
CREDIT IS A 4-LETTER WORD!
When someone gives you "credit", they really aren't _giving_ you
anything of substance. What they're giving you is more intangible,
they're giving you credit for having the financial resources and
responsibility to buy money from them for more than it's worth.
That's right. They're counting on the fact that if they give you a
credit limit of $5000, you'll use it. You'll take their money, or at
least some of it. And after you do that, you'll pay it back slowly.
_With interest. Every month. For a long time._
So if you let them give you $2000 worth of merchandise, they count
on you paying them maybe $2500, $3000, $4000, or more for the
privilege.
What they've given you is:
DEBT
_And my friend, debt surely is a 4-letter word._
So let's get back to Jack for a minute. What did Jack do wrong, if
anything? And how can you avoid ending up like Jack,_ older and deeper
in debt_, with no easy way to get out of it except to win the lottery?
Read the story again, look for clues, you'll see some problems. And
perhaps you have some of those same problems.
_FORTUNATELY, WE CAN HELP._
Whether you're Jack, or like Jack, or want to avoid becoming like
Jack, I have good news.
I've spent months of research, thousands of hours, and have spared
no expense to put together a book called (you guessed it!):
CREDIT IS A FOUR LETTER WORD
or C4LW for short.
C4LW is a reference book that reads like a "How To" book. It will be
your guide regardless of your current financial situation.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE YOUNG AND STILL RELATIVELY
DEBT-FREE, C4LW will show you things like:
* Benefits of setting a budget and how to put one together - page 15
* Ways to attain and maintain a debt free lifestyle - page 19
* Pros/cons of leasing vs. buying on credit - page 58
* Hidden dangers of credit cards - page 40
FOR THOSE THAT ARE CONFUSED ABOUT CREDIT, DEBT, CREDIT SCORES AND
REPORTS, we explain it all:
* How your credit rating affects you, and how to check it - page 95
* A credit card jargon buster - page 37
* Ways to improve your credit score - page 54
* Hidden dangers of credit cards - page 40
* Determinants of your credit score - page 52
SINCE MOST PEOPLE DO HAVE CREDIT CARDS, and most of those people are
just paying the minimum or slightly more, we talk about:
* Ways to negotiate lower interest rates - page 64
* How to choose the right credit card - page 69
* Ways to pay off debts faster - page 77
* How to avoid getting into credit card debt - page 83
OF COURSE, AS YOU GO THROUGH LIFE, YOU'LL WANT TO INCUR SOME DEBT.
For example home ownership has proven to be the best investment of
all, in most locations. If you wait until you can pay for a home out
of savings, most people will never catch up with rising prices. So
this is debt you'll want to consider. We talk about:
* Ways to find the best mortgage rates - page 80
* Pros/cons of refinancing your mortgage - page 89
* Pros/cons of home equity loans - page 87
* Ways to pay down your mortgage faster - page 85
FOR THOSE WITH MODERATE DEBT PROBLEMS, or those that want to avoid
them, there are sections on:
* Simple ways to reduce your debt - page 123
* Tips for better debt management - page 128
* Protecting your credit when having financial hardships - page 133
* Ways to repair your credit yourself - page 105
* Ways to have negative information removed from your credit report
- page 103
* Important financial steps to take after divorce or death of
spounse - page 100
AND FOR THOSE WITH SEVERE DEBT PROBLEMS:
* Alternatives to bankruptcy - page 156
* Things to do before you file for bankruptcy - page 162
* Advantages/disadvantages of Chapter 13 - page 166
* Advantages/disadvantages of Chapter 7 - page 170
AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!

_LOOK AT IT THIS WAY._
Can you afford to make financial mistakes? What will just one
mistake cost you? A hundred dollars? A thousand dollars? Yes, if
you're lucky. Maybe it will mean you can't retire when you want to.
Maybe you won't be able to take the vacations you deserve and
desperately need. Maybe you won't qualify for the mortgage on your
dream home and have to keep paying rent to your landlord.
_Or, if you're like Jack and millions of other Americans, it might
cost you your freedom, maybe even your health, maybe cause harm to a
relationship. Every day, another day older and deeper in debt. Not
you? JACK SAID THAT, TOO, IN THE BEGINNING._
Do you know that a lower credit score can cost you 5, 10, 15% on
interest rates? Would you like to know how to improve your credit
score so that you can save that money?
Do you know that a low credit score can cost you 100's of dollars
each and every year on your auto insurance? _Just your auto INSURANCE,
not to mention credit card rates, mortgage rates, auto loan rates, and
on and on and on!_
Do you know that having too many, or too few, credit cards can hurt
your credit? Do you think that having one maxed out credit card is
better than 8 cards?
Do you know why credit card companies just love college students?
_THE ANSWER MIGHT SURPRISE YOU._
Do you really understand the fine print in the terms and conditions
of your credit card? If so, do you know that accepting a low-interest
or no-interest balance transfer can really be costing you more money
than it's saving you? _YOU DON'T REALLY THINK ZERO INTEREST OFFERS ARE
GIVEN BECAUSE THEY'RE YOUR FRIEND, DO YOU?_
_WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW IS COSTING YOU MONEY EACH AND EVERY MONTH._

Debt isn't always caused by spending too much. Sometimes it's caused
by a lack of sufficient income. Sometimes it's caused by both, of
course, and those that can improve both ends of their budget (higher
income, lower expenses) can see much quicker results.
So, to help improve your income, I'm giving you my newest product,
titled:
"EBAY SALES SUCCESS SECRETS"
This isn't just a low-budget report telling you the same things you
can learn by going to the eBay FAQ pages, this is a full 75 pages of

ORDER "CREDIT IS A FOUR LETTER WORD" NOW!
By now you're probably wondering if you can afford to purchase
"Credit is a Four Letter Word".
C4LW is not a typical mass produced paper back book that you can
purchase at your local bookstore. Those books quickly become out of
date, and either you're reading useless old information, or you're
needing to go back to the bookstore to buy this year's version.
I could have easily priced this electronic book at $47.00, maybe
even more. At that price, it's well less than just the first
consultation with a credit repair specialist, and far less than what
it would cost to get legal advice about debt consolidation, debt
settlement, or bankruptcy.
HECK IT'S LESS THAN WHAT MOST OF MY READERS ARE _WASTING_ EVERY
MONTH ON EXCESS INTEREST CHARGES.
But, I realize there is a large audience of potential readers that
will be more willing to buy my book if the price is lower. Therefore,
I'm bringing down the price of "Credit is a Four Letter Word" to a
price that might change soon:
ONLY $17.00 FOR ALL THIS!
Yes, just $17.00 for more than just a book, more like a system that
could change your life.

could also be a medical breakthrough for you as well as those in your
family that are affected by your debt problems!

iron clad guarantee of satisfaction. Or, you can just get the sample
excerpt, read it over, think about it, and hopefully that price and
those bonuses will be here when you decide to pull the trigger. It's
your call. Either way, I sincerely hope that, if you have debt
problems, you work them out. Believe me, it will change your life if
you do!
