and mouth. I rushed him over to the watering fountain to try and get
the sand out of his eyes. As I was splashing water on his face this
woman ran over, she was panting pretty hard. It was the little boy's
mother .. she must have been sitting in her car in the parking lot. We
finished cleaning up her son and she thanked me profusely .. I think
she felt bad because she couldn't get there fast enough. I told her I
was happy to help her. After her son Eric got cleaned up he
immediately went back to the swings.. I love how kids bounce back. A
few more hours passed and it was starting to get dark so I grabbed the
kiddo and started heading back to the car ... I couldn't help but
notice the brand new Jaguar XK7 convertible sitting in the parking lot
... I thought to myself "I will never have a car like that..." Just
then the door swung open, it was Erics mother... Sarah. She came
rushing over and thanked me again for helping out little Eric, and
offered to have me and my daughter over for dinner. I agreed and we
decided to meet up next weekend.
I went back to work Tuesday and dreaded it. I couldn't stop thinking
about Sarah .. I mean what did she do for a living to afford such a
nice car? She didn't look a day over 30 and she was driving a brand
new Jaguar.. What was she doing at the park in the middle of the day?
I brushed it off thinking maybe she was married to someone with money.

The weekend finally rolled around and Sarah gave me a call to firm
up plans for dinner. She gave me her address so I could look it up in
Google Maps. I got directions and loaded up the Caravan to head over
there. When I pulled into the subdivision I couldn't believe it ...
this was a high class neighborhood! Beautiful gated community on a
private lake .. very nice! Sarah buzzed me in and I was heading to her
house I couldn't help but notice all the incredible homes. Well
manicured lawns, the little bushes that are sculpted into designs,
this was awesome.
Sarah's house was spectacular too .. it had to be 5,000 square feet!
"Thats it!" I thought, I had to know what Sarah did for a living! Over
dinner Sarah and I found out we had a lot in common and the mood was
pretty friendly so I asked her what she did for a living. She said
"Not much." Ok I now she was just messing with me, so I pushed a
little more .. "Did you inherit some money?" No she said, she used to
be an administrative assistant. I was starting to get frustrated by
now, she was just toying with me at this point because she was
smiling. What does your husband do? "He's an Electrician." She must
have seen the frustration in my face because she said "I want to show
you something."
We left the kids to play in her "playroom" and she led me into her
bedroom closet. It was huge, bigger than my living room. She pointed
inside and said "this is what I do for a living". I thought she was
just messing with me so I said "You collect expensive clothes for a
living?" in a sarcastic tone. She looked at me dead serious and said
"yeah, pretty much." If she wasn't so serious I would've laughed. She
turned off the closet light and led me down the hall to her office.
She said she gets paid to shop for a living. She works with companies
who hire her to be a secret shopper, she goes into stores and buys
things with their money and rates the staff and store performance. She
