Point blank, there is.

This candid letter will reveal what's normally resting up my sleeves, in the shadows, at-the-ready to spring on my readers, as soon as they let their guard down. I am breaking my own rules to do so, but my gut tells me it is the only way to convince you of my message.

There are mountains of promises floating in the marketplace like a body being pulled out of the Hudson River; they're everywhere, and they are about as useful as having a cadaver as a mentor. Despite the obvious, that being that about 94% of the people who you come across in your life, have every intent to pitch you on something and most of it will never live up to their promises. Men and women continue to buy, every single day, lining up in droves to eat scraps from those sellers’ hands.

Selling is everywhere; it cannot be avoided - even if you board yourself up in your home, beat your telephone receiver into oblivion, and rip the television plug from the wall.

Sometimes It Takes Being Backed Into a Corner.

I remember advice from Gary Halbert, though many years ago, it is crystal clear in my mind today. He reminded me of how simple solutions truly are. Joe Polish was interviewing Gary and asked what his listeners could do if they have an “idea”. No matter if your tape player was on the lowest volume setting or not, Gary Halbert blurted out an answer that resonated to the point of vibrating the shell of your tape player. He spoke from the core of his beliefs, drawing from a reservoir of hard knocks, failures, and pain, and let two words explode from his mouth to the point his voice shook, “Do Something!”

On the surface, the simplicity of just two little words would have most listeners in this world of ours, screaming for their money back. There would be cries of the material falling short, and before you could blink your eyes, that typical listener was off to the races in a mad dash to seek the Holy Grail, find the Smoking Gun, and chase their own tail for an additional, countless number of years. I’ve quit being surprised by such behavior.

Being Manipulated By A 3 Year Old.

You’ve been had, if you think that selling is limited only to a product or service.If that’s what you believe, if you THINK that this letter is about “sales” you already lost, dipshit.

Perhaps you are guilty of already rolling your eyes, reading my words, thinking you’ve got me and this letter figured out. I’ve already won, because you have just eliminated yourself from the running. You’ve raised your hand, step forward, stuck your chest out and asked to be rewarded with the label of: FOLLOWER.

Selling is everywhere, more than ever. It breathes, reproduces, and lives a life of it’s own.

Exceptional selling kicks down the door of your subconscious mind and tickles your deepest thoughts and inhibitions, long before you can even think about putting up your guard. It may be disguised as a question, words on paper or even something as deadly as a gesture or glance from across a room. YOU being the target.

Get Knocked Up Or Buy An Extended Warranty.

Men, women, girls, boys, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands and wives are buying into things they don’t want every second of the day. You or someone you know is being advised, coerced, manipulated, convinced and pressured into little decisions and big ones that can take a much more prominent role, leading to tragedy, mental roadblocks and life altering impact.

People are chomping at the bit to SELL you. Whatever the intent. To get you to wrap around their finger, flirt with your deepest emotions and lead you down whatever path they choose. If you are not savvy enough, they'll throw a chain around your neck, hook it up to the bumper of their car and press the pedal to the medal, filling their pockets and egos with their choice of your possessions, absolutely precious to you or not.

A three-year-old child, who has yet to master using the toilet, quickly learns how to sell. They get their way, despite the logic of who is the adult, has more experience, and is in charge.

Take ‘em Out At The Knees.

It’s easier to clear a path of thorns and thicket with a machete rather than a toothpick. Obvious, right? But, everyday, men and women who are waist deep in selling, hoping to get their way, get what they want and close the deal, lay an arsenal of tools to get the job done out in front of them, choosing not the most effective, but the one with the most comfortable grip.

A slave to their own comfort zones, they are too blind to ever look for a better option. If you are going into battle with winning being your objective, why in the hell would you consciously make the choice to arm yourself with a shield rather than a double-edged battle axe that delivers the kind of blow that is tough to ignore?

OBVIOUS. Plain as day. Every other option seems stupid, and yet the majority choose the comfortable grip, despite their words, their promises to themselves, and the litany of affirmations that line their mind, stroking their ego to sleep.

Us Versus Them.

Think I am being over-dramatic, making a big deal out of, or putting a spin on what’s before you so you become compelled and follow my lead? Think again.

I just explained to you what most people will do. It’s no secret. The majority continually makes bad decisions, live with the pathetic results of those decisions, only to vow to do it differently next time – but MOST NEVER DO. You know what? THAT is NOT going to change. (I don’t care, either).

Their inaction speaks volumes about them. They practically wet themselves at the mere thought of having to change how they do what they do, even knowing it is not working, but does that stop them from dreaming even bigger? Nope. (And that’s fine too).

That’s their choice. Not mine. Perhaps, not yours.

Thus, the reason for a letter like this one.

A Peek Behind The Curtain

Normally, at about this length in a sales letter I’d be gearing up for the big pitch. But in all frankness, unless you are either a masochist, or not easily intimidated, (check yourself for brass balls and ovaries - if you've got both, see your doctor!), I’ve hopefully scared away those who not going to GET this information from those who have the GUTS to actually APPLY it. Is that you?
