WHAT IS THE PROGRAMME?

The Happyweight programme is a method developed by Judy Price after
her own experiences of failing at dieting led her to try something
different. She started dieting in her teens and 30 years later,
decided she would never diet again. It seemed pointless investing more
time in something that she no longer had any faith in. However, she
was still determined to resolve her weight problem and started doing a
few simple things differently. After a few weeks she knew that she had
had lost weight, and in fact she had dropped about 9 pounds of fat,
without dieting and eating all the food is that she loved. Judy was
thrilled and went on to drop over 4½ stones of fat over the next
year. People kept asking her what she had done to lose the weight. She
started working with clients, and they also achieved wonderful
results. Since then, she has worked with hundreds of people and
developed the system.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Happyweight is a unique holistic, non-diet programme. Research
shows that diets are about 99% unsuccessful. This is because dieting
is a conscious method that restricts eating but does not deal with
underlying causes, for example, unconscious conflicts or emotional
eating. Happyweight believes that the resolution of a weight problem
is in “inside job.” People have weight problems for a diversity of
reasons and almost all of them have tried, and failed, at dieting.
What they can discover is that weight problems are the result of
thinking and behaviour around food, eating, and self image. There are

What was useful? Looking at eating in a different way and realising
that it was ok to eat what I wanted, only to wait until my body told
me it was hungry! I found keeping a diet diary very helpful; in fact I
still use it now and find if I lapse that's when I start to have
problems. It was good knowing that Judy was on the end of a phone if
required, & the fact that she too has been bigger, so she can
sympathise with your feelings. I found out that it's only human to
have a bad day/ spell & not to beat myself up about it, as life is
full of ups she will help and guide you to do the same!
