One thing I noticed throughout my college football career was how
every skilled position player, for example running backs and wide

One day during football practice, I had a strong desire to watch
the skill position players perform their individual practice drills. I

such a short amount of time. I mean within 20 minutes of short burst
sprints, they were absolutely smoked. Mind you these are college
athletes in tip top shape, but in just 20 minutes of short intense
sprints, they were completely drained. After watching the individual
drills, I was convinced that short burst of high intensity exercise
were somehow related to rapid fat loss.

In preparation for my senior season, I put my new found discovery
to the test in the summer of 2000. I mimicked the same workout that I
saw many of the skill players doing on the practice field. I performed
short, intense sprints on the track. Each sprint took me approximately
20-30 seconds to complete. After two shorts months, I was shocked to
see the amazing transformation in my body.

I started getting leaner than I ever had before. The results
motivated me to no end, and I kept after it even more. I did short
busrt sprints for 4 or 5 days a week and I’d go for between 30
minutes to an hour. When I finished, I was spent, drenched in sweat
and sometimes just crashing when I got to my dorm room. And I kept
getting even leaner. If you’re expecting me to say that running is
the secret, no, that’s not it per se.

In two months, I went from a beefy 230 pound of fat to 210 pounds
of hard, lean muscle. Subsequently as a result of my rapid fat loss, I
was much quicker and faster and went on to have an All-American senior
year.  However as you will learn later, I tossed aside this proven
fat loss system in favor of diet pills and supplement powders that
promised to get me ripped even faster. 

I WENT FROM TACKLING QUARTERBACKS TO TACKLING BIG MAC’S!

Although I had a productive senior year in college, I never really
got any real attention from NFL scouts. Part of it had to do with
playing in such a small division. It’s hard getting scouts out to
division III football games, unless you’re putting up out of the
world numbers. I got on the radar screen midseason, but it wasn’t
enough to get drafted.

The NFL draft came and went without a single call from pro scouts.
I was disappointed, but more so I was disappointed that I was not
going to live out my life long dream of playing professional football.
Accepting the fact that I was not going to continue playing football
was extremely difficult. As a result, I fell into a deep depression
and sought out food as an escape. Well, I ballooned to 240 pounds by
the end of my senior year in college.

Once I graduated from Defiance College in the fall of 2001,
disappointment left me and excitement about my future took over.
Determined to drop body fat, I started to research ways to get lean as
quickly as possible. My research went on for 5 years before I
discovered a sure proof way to burn fat. It took me 5 years of long
painstaking process of trial and error, and gym experimentation,
before I discovered a guaranteed method to quick fat loss.

DURING MY RESEARCH, I TURNED MYSELF FROM A GYM RAT TO A LAB RAT.

Once I graduated college in the fall of 2001, I did what every
graduate would do; I went out into the corporate world and found a
job. But I soon found out that if I wanted to lose fat and avoid
gaining more weight, I needed to start an exercise program. But the
only form of exercise that I was accustomed to by virtue of playing
college football was weight training. So out of ignorance I started
lifting weights as I did in college.

I soon found out that my way of weight training was totally wrong
and counter productive. I didn't know it at the time but I was
training like a power lifter with no clear fitness goal. As a result
of my heavy weight training, I became bulky and overly muscular. I was
starting to look like those gigantic guys that you see on the front
cover of flex magazine. I did not like what I was turning myself into
and I am sure if I continued my wife would’ve gotten grossed out.

Finally I stopped the way I was training and started spending my
money on supplements that promised to get me ripped. I spent 100's of
dollars on supplements that turned out to be useless. I would seek
advice from self proclaimed experts, and guys at the gym about
effective ways to lose fat. Their only guidance was to buy more
supplements.

I later realized, far later in my research that most people are
getting ripped off (instead of ripped) by supplement companies. I
would buy fitness magazines and notice the abundance of things that
are not even remotely associated with fitness like a near anorexic,
super thin woman lying next to a power bar. I would flip to the next
page and notice another advertisement about a diet pill that is
supposedly scientifically proven to increase your fat burning ability
by 200%. Talk about shaky science.

I READ IT ALL, AND TRIED IT ALL!

I continued to buy fitness magazines trying to figure out true
effective ways to burn fat. My home was literally littered with over a
hundred fitness books and magazines that I’ve read from cover to
cover. The only thing that I retained from all those books and
magazines were confusion. One would contradict the other.

I concluded that the diet and supplement companies are only out to
make a buck, preying on people who are desperately looking for ways to
lose weight. Interestingly enough they have found plenty of people who
are willing to pay for those over hyped diet pills. That is why the
supplement industry is a billion dollar business.

Until people get educated and realize that supplements are not a
quick fix, diet companies will continue to victimize buyers. I also
noticed that a new diet pill would surface every other day with no
tangible evidence that it works. Sometimes they’ll even stick a
celebrity on the bottle just to entice consumers into buying.

Listen if you didn’t already know it, the diet and supplement
companies are so loosely regulated, they will tell you anything to get
into your wallet. Well don’t take my word for it, ask anyone who’s
ever tried a diet pill, they’ll tell you the same exact thing.
I’ve personally consumed several diet and supplement pills and
neither helped me achieve the results I wanted.

decreased my body fat. The weight 7, 9, 12 pounds just started falling
off. It was clear that high intensity interval training was far more

I was ecstatic that I finally reached a breakthrough in my
research. But before going public with my new findings, I wanted to
make sure that I had my ducks in a row before publicly criticizing old
outdated training methods. Well, I conducted a comprehensive research
and here are my findings. There was a study done in 1994 by Laval
University in Quebec, which compared interval training to long slow
cardio training. Researchers at Laval University concluded that
interval training participants’ loss more body fat than the cardio
training participants.

In a more recent study conducted by University of Guelph in
Ontario, researchers concluded that interval training increased the
participants’ fat burning ability by 36%. The combination of the
scientific studies and my personal results confirmed that interval
training is the best form of fat loss.

The second breakthrough evidence that helped launch FAT LOSS

do, no argument from me. I've pumped iron for years and yes, I kept it
together in public, but behind close doors, I had knee pains, back
pains, and elbow pains as a result of heavy weight training.

Once I decided to trash my old ways of training and adopted
resistance bands as part of my regular workout routine, I saw a big
difference in my body. Suddenly the stiffness, all the residual pains,
and all the ailments I had already accumulated - left me. I realized
that when you train with your own bodyweight and resistance bands, you
can simultaneously increase strength, burn fat and achieve flexibility
and do so without all the unnecessary risks of pumping iron.

To the naked eye, it seemed impossible that a pair of flex bands
