You can watch The HTML Book video [here](http://www.the-html-book.com/htmlvidlink.htm).

Why did I write The HTML Book? A couple of years ago, when I wanted to design my own web site and then program it in HTML so I went looking for a web designing tutorial with HTML instruction.

On the web I found boring typed lessons; I found a hundred sites with links to another hundred sites, etc., etc; I found instructions with no examples; I found many large, expensive books.

That's when I decided to write the sort of HTML instruction book I was looking for; one with the basic knowledge, the essential information needed to get a site up and running. For the person who wants an economical way to get a site or page for that new ebook or software, without having to rely on other people's second-hand ideas.

That's how The HTML Book was born!
