How to Buy a Digital Camera Buyers Guide

HEY ALL YOU PHOTOGRAPHERS OUT THERE!

Are you still stuck in the dark ages of film, but want to get
starting in the digital world? It can seem hard, being an absolute pro
with the film cameras and then something totally new and different
throws your film knowledge out the window.

Even at the first glance, digital can seem like just another
expensive luxury. The entire truth is that film cameras are now the
more expensive way to go. Digital cameras are much easier to use and,
in the long run, are MUCH less expensive.

The transition from film to digital has become confusing and
difficult for many film users and they become frustrated when they try
to understand it.
At this time, I'd like to introduce myself as well as my book.

INTRODUCTION

My name is Kirk Shultz. I've been a photographer most of my life and
I know pretty much all the in's and out's of a camera. The transition
phase was fairly easy for me when I first came across digital.
Unfortunately, when I bought my first digital camera, it was
horrendously expensive. Thankfully now they're in an abundance and you
can get them very cheap.

I began working at a very well known and profitable electronics
store in the camera department. On a daily basis, customers would come
up to me and request assistance on their purchase. Most people either
had absolutely no idea what they wanted, nor had any idea on digital
in the first place. Others THOUGHT they knew what they were talking
about, but when I told them all I knew, they were shocked at how off
they were. After months and month of answering common questions, I put
together this book, How to Buy a Digital Camera, in hopes that the
many confused customers would retain the knowledge this book teaches,
and they can walk into a store with the upmost confidence and
understand the lingo that cameras have.

As I do in the book, I'd like to point out that in this website, as
well as the book itself, is in NO WAY a sales pitch. It is a guide to
assist you in saving money when buying your own camera. Even when I
worked in the camera department, I always recommended cameras by
asking certain questions. A week or two later they would return and
tell me that it was one of the best decisions I helped them make. I'd
like to help you guys as well.

WHAT WILL I GET FROM THIS BOOK?

In this book, you'll learn everything I taught my most confused and
disoriented customers. In one easy to read and self explanatory book,
you'll have the knowledge to be able to do some research in your home
at your leisure, instead of going to your nearest electronics store
and get a sales associate with a financial deadline he must meet every
day drilling you to buy something you may not need.

While doing research, you'll be able to look at the specifications
of a camera and tell if the features it has are to your liking. This
book shows you how to look into your own lifestyle and ask yourself
"Do I need this?" Did you know that the price of camera can change
because of one tiny little detail? Having the ability to use a Lithium
Ion battery can boost the price of a camera by 50 to even $100!

The guide lists key features every camera should have and what you
need to look for. It also gets into detail about those features and
what you may be able to substitute out if it doesn't fit your
lifestyle to save you money!

THE BRANDS

While reading, you'll come across a chapter dealing with seven of
the more well known brands and I explain their pros and cons, giving
you the information you need to make your decision. I explain their
better features and point out the over-rated ones.

TOP SEVEN BRANDS LISTED IN THE BOOK

* Canon
* Sony
* Nikon
* Kodak
* Panasonic
* Olympus
* Fuji
* Casio

I go over all three types of digital camera: Compact (The small,
pocket sized cameras), Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR), the larger
cameras that use lenses and are digital makes of the 35mm film
cameras, and last Bridge cameras, bigger and better quality than
compact cameras, but not as big as DSLRs, plus they don't use
interchangeable lenses.

EXTENDED WARRANTEES AND CONTRACTS

The last topic I cover is the extended warrantees. These are what a
salesman will recommend you each and every time you buy a camera, or
much less, any electronics period. Some are so over-rated and
unnecessary, but others you may want to consider. I go into detail and
give a few scenarios in which you may actually want to purchase their
plan, times when you will not need it, and the gimmicks they may try
to get you to purchase one for no reason.

CONCLUSION

After reading this guide, you'll be an expert and have the
confidence to walk into your nearest camera shop, point at the camera
you've been doing research on, and skip all the hassle and the
annoying sales pitch all the salesman use to get you to buy more.

With the information this book contains, you'll be completely at
ease walking into a store, knowing full well you'll walk out of it
with a camera that you'll be using for years and even save some money!
Having the advanced knowledge of what type of accessories you'll need
gives you an idea of what you'll need versus what you want, bypassing
what the salesmen will undoubtedly make attempts to throw your way.

I sincerely hope that the information contained in this book helps
you buy your ideal camera and I am very confident it will do just
that. This book has a 100% guarantee so should this book not help give
you the information needed, you may return it.
