Hi and welcome to my website. As New Zealand's only

....without any B.S. promises or products!

How? By telling you the TRUTH! Quite frankly I am sick of the lies,
the deceit, the half-truths, the snake-oil merchants who prey on
desperate people, the so-called experts who give you less than expert
advice, the gimmicks, the fads, the false promises and the toxic foods
and products that slowly but surely rob you of your health. Because I
am self-employed, don't receive any endorsements or commissions and
don't sell anything (other than information) I can afford to be
brutally honest.

So let's start with a few home truths:

HOME TRUTH NO.1

If you think the road to better health lies with traditional Western
Medicine, think again - in some countries (e.g. the USA), Western
Medicine is now officially the 3rd biggest KILLER of people after
cancer and cardiovascular disease due to a combination of factors
(e.g. medication errors, unnecessary operations, hospital-acquired
infections and medication side effects). For more details, please

While Western medicine is fantastic and potentially life-saving for
acute problems (e.g. trauma and infections), it is much less effective
for the management of chronic lifestyle-related conditions e.g.
hypertension, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis and stress.
Why? Because most of the common interventions (e.g. drugs) are aimed
at _reducing, alleviating or masking symptoms_ _rather than fixing the
underlying causes which are generally lifestyle-related._

One thing I must clarify - this is not a personal attack on the
people who work in the health system. In fact, the people working at
the 'coal-face' (i.e. doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational
therapists, pharmacists etc.) are some of the most compassionate,
knowledgeable, dedicated and hard-working people that I know. They
would never _intentionally_ set out to harm anyone. The problem is
that we have a system of 'health' care where we literally wait for
people to get sick and then try to patch them up ten minutes at a time
(about the duration of an average family doctor's consultation).

HOME TRUTH NO.2

If you think the road to better health lies with protein powders,
collagen fillers, exotic juices from far-away places (e.g. noni, goji,
aloe, pomegranate and mangosteen), bottled water, colloidal minerals,
the latest abdominiser, botox, sports drinks, energy drinks, 'detox'
programmes, shark cartilage, patches that melt away fat while you are
sleeping, super-oxygenated water, heart drops, colonics, seaweed
anti-wrinkle face patches, apricot kernels, meal replacement formulas,
liposuction, machines that vibrate, creams that remove cellulite and
reduce wrinkles, spirulina, body wraps, infra-red saunas, bee pollen,
protein bars, deer velvet, iridology, diets (Atkins, South Beach,
Blood-type, Beverley Hills, Metabolic-type, Pritikin etc), hypnosis,
thermogenic stimulants or pills that block fat absorbtion or reduce
appetite

..........SORRY, BUT YOU ARE ON THE WRONG ROAD!

HOME TRUTH NO.3

The correct road to better health was pointed out over 2500 years
ago by the ancient Greek physicians Hippocrates and Galen, full
details of which are available in my eBook.

HOME TRUTH NO.4

Even though the world has changed dramatically since the time of the
ancient Greeks, the essential requirements have not.

HOME TRUTH NO. 5

Even though I am a great believer in scientific principles (i.e.
observation and experimentation to describe and explain natural
phenomena), even science sometimes gets it wrong e.g.

* thalidomide, diethystilboestrol, hormone replacement therapy,
Berotec asthma inhalers and Vioxx were originally thought to be safe.
* margarines containing trans-fatty acids were once thought to be
good for your health.
* cigarettes (e.g. 'Lucky Strike') were once endorsed and
recommended by the medical profession.
* lobotomies were used as a treatment for mental illnesses until
relatively recently.
* in the last food pyramid, all fats were treated equally and to be
used 'sparingly'.
* stress was thought to be the main cause of stomach ulcers (even
though veterinarians had known for decades that they were caused by a
bacterium).
* five servings of fruit and vegetables per day were thought to be
sufficient for good health in the last food pyramid.
* twenty minutes of gentle exercise three times a week was thought
to be sufficient to maintain good health in recent exercise
guidelines.
* mercury fillings were considered to be totally safe, even in
pregnancy.

HOME TRUTH NO. 6

Because science is not infallible, we must sometimes use a little
common-sense as well e.g. while scientists have been unable to 'prove'
that organic produce is better for your health than
commercially-produced crops (which are grown on nutrient-depleted
soils, sprayed with pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, picked when
green, stored in artificial gas, transported half way around the world
and then artificially ripened using chemicals), common sense tells me
that they probably are.

HOME TRUTH NO. 7

Whenever there is some controversy about the safety of a product
(e.g. teflon, fluoride, mercury fillings, cosmetics, plastics,
polycarbonate bottles, aluminium cookware, genetically modified foods,
food irradiation, microwaves, food additives and colourings), the
default position should be:

AVOID UNTIL UNEQUIVOCALLY PROVEN TO BE SAFE (WHICH MAY TAKE SEVERAL
GENERATIONS).

HOME TRUTH NO. 8

While training the MIND to be healthy is a key feature of all
Eastern philosophies and religions dating back many thousands of years
(e.g. sages, yogis, Zen monks and Buddhists), it is totally neglected
in Western cultures. To cope with the stresses of modern life and to
realize our true potential, we must train our minds as well as our
bodies.

HOME TRUTH NO. 9

If you are after a 'magic bullet' that doesn't require any effort on
your part, stop reading now - this website (and my e-book) are
definitely not for you. They are intended for people who are prepared
to take some _personal responsibility_ for their well-being, and who
possess the 3D's of success:

* discipline.

As the old saying goes:'Without change, there is no change'.

* Within seconds of putting into practice concepts such as
programming your subconscious mind, laughter, generosity and giving,
saying 'no' and voluntary simplicity, you will feel much happier,
positive and in control of your life.
* Within seconds of understanding how the stress process works, you
will be able to optimize your stress, rather than be a victim to it.
* Within seconds of eating 'clean' nutrient-rich foods and
supplementing wisely, your body willstart a process of self-healing.

Other changes will take longer e.g. losing body fat, changing body
shape, strengthening bone, lowering bad cholesterol levels etc.
