A positive
trend within a business is simply a window of opportunity.

It's there
for a while... but, if not noticed and utilised, nurtured so
it grows and grows, it will simply wither away and that's that.

business activity... Had it been spotted in time, had it been

our time and energy and rob away the belief there COULD be positive
trends developing constantly.

But there are,
you know. We just don't notice them and, thus, never get the
chance to utilise these opportunities.

And even if
you could overcome the constant struggle against problems...
how could you spot the opportunities unless you have accurate
and timely information from your accountant?

See. Just like
it takes lots of time for a problem to develop in size enough
so it can be seen PHYSICALLY within the business activity, the
same applies to opportunities.

Only... well,
you know it already: UNLIKE problems, opportunities wither
away on their own well before they could be perceived with the
naked eye within the business.

At this stage,
in the beginning, the birth of an opportunity can only be detected
by key financial figures. They're far too tiny to be perceived
by the naked eye.

The same, of
course, applies to problems.

If you want
to find problems SMALL and avoid expending huge amounts of effort,
motivation and cash in solving them only once they become VISIBLE
within the activity, then you need to have your accountant monitor
certain key financial figures on monthly basis.

But before
that, there's another HUGE obstacle we have to overcome...

Our natural
gut instinct is reluctance: Who wants to find problems?

Indeed. It's
a natural and innate human reaction to shy away from problems.

If you're like

share of problems already... and even the THOUGHT of going all
out to find MORE PROBLEMS is directly repulsive.

And so it is
that as the top person in your organizations, almost all problems
come to you sooner or later.

of our lives: We employ people to SOLVE problems and yet those

After a few
years, we become weary, cynical and battle-worn.

test your own level of having been buried under a constant stream
of problems:

Just for
a second, suppose it was possible to have a full month without
a single problem, emergency or difficulty.

I know you
probably feel quite cynical about such a possibility and I couldn't
blame you if you did.

But indulge
me just for a while.

Just imagine
you would be guaranteed a full month without a single worry,
a period of 30 days ahead in which you knew there would not be
ANY bad news, NO nasty surprises, not a single "between
a rock and a hard place" situation... but that it would
all flow smoothly and all the news would be positive and encouraging.

Does the idea
feel GOOD or what?

If it does
then the amount of positive feeling that the thought produces
shows how much the constant battle with problems has worn you
down... because that brief image is really how want your life
to be, isn't it?

Isn't it what
you set out to reach in the beginning — positive entrepreneurship
with pride of ownership and the joy of success, with far more
positive things in your day than problems?

The good news
is that you can regain that within a relatively short period
of time. It won't take years, only weeks or months.

But now that
you've found the concept again, you basically have two alternatives.

One way is to do nothing about
it and just continue being brave and fighting for a good cause.
After all, your hard work and worthwhile purposes bring the wherewithal
to an amazingly large number of people and businesses —
what you do already is highly commendable.

See, the thing
is that all those people who directly or indirectly depend on
you for their livelihoods get the BENEFITS only... and YOU get
the problems. So, you can choose to continue being unselfish
and battle on to keep the wheels in motion.


The other way requires you to want CHANGE and improve YOUR
lot in life.

You need to
be a bit selfish for a change. You need to realise that you're
not a machine and that although you're obviously a very strong
person, nobody can continue forever without some help.

You need to
decide to use some of your cunning and not only your power. A
brave heart gets no rewards and even the toughest person will
be broken if he cares not for himself also.

Nobody is SO
strong that he or she can carry the problems of the world forever.
And really, isn't it time YOU hade some help, some relief so
that you can continue your good work and keep the show on the
road?

The instinctive
resistance we have towards the idea of unearthing MORE problems
is really just that — an emotional rejection, a reaction;
understandable as such but really working AGAINST our own best
interests.

For let me
say this in no uncertain terms:

The way
to that relatively problem-free existence with lots more good
news than bad goes through starting to find problems AND opportunities
at their inception.

Why not use
your naturally high courage to start investigating how you could
make things easier and better for yourself?

It's not really
selfish, you know. Everyone who now benefits from your hard work
will also profit from it. See, although they might not show their
feelings, they WANT you to have an easier and better life —
they just don't have a clue how they could help you in it.

After all,
you're the boss, the most knowledgeable and able person they
know, the top guy in your organisation. You're the one who "has
the solutions" for everything... so either it comes from
you or it doesn't come at all!

And, at this
stage, you don't need to DO anything — you only need
to KNOW.
