I had just had the day from hell at work...  

I had a patient with really complex problems due to be discharged home and it all fell apart at the last minute and managers were asking lots of questions about why the patient hadn’t gone home.

By the time I had driven my two kids to their clubs, got a bit of grocery shopping done while I waited on them, collected them again, got home, put the shopping away, sorted the school clothes for the morning and got them to bed…

...My husband got home from work reminding me he needed some invoices printed to give to customers to make sure he got paid.


Sometimes it felt like we were ships passing in the night, hardly getting to spend any time together...


I finally got a minute to myself… and it was time for bed.
