Located close to Leidseplien, one of the main tourist areas in the
city center, Melkweg is far enough outside the area that it's mostly
populated by Amsterdammers. Melkweg is an odd combination of caf,
club, and art gallery - depending on what time of day or night you go;
pass-by anytime during the day, and the caf is filled with espresso
drinking locals, go at night and you'll find a favorite local DJ
"spinning" his favorite tunes or a rock band performing for
enthusiastic fans.
