[]“Since the late 1990s, Gallup has been measuring international employee satisfaction through a survey it has been honing over the years. In total it has polled 25 million employees in 189 different countries. The latest version, released this week, gathered information from 230,000 full-time and part-time workers in 142 countries. Overall, Gallup found that only 13% of workers feel engaged by their jobs. That means they feel a sense of passion for their work, a deep connection to their employer and they spend their days driving innovation and moving their company forward. The vast majority, some 63%, are “not engaged,” meaning they are unhappy but not drastically so. In short, they’re checked out. They sleepwalk through their days, putting little energy into their work. A full 24% are what Gallup calls “actively disengaged,” meaning they pretty much hate their jobs. They act out and undermine what their co-workers accomplish. Add the last two categories and you get 87% of workers worldwide who, as Gallup puts it, “are emotionally disconnected from their workplaces and less likely to be productive.” In other words, work is more often a source of frustration than one of fulfillment for nearly 90% of the world’s workers. That means that most workplaces are less productive and less safe than they could be and employers are less likely to create new jobs.” - Excerpt from “Unhappy Employees Outnumber Happy Ones By Two To One Worldwide” by [Susan Adams] on [Forbes.com]

Excerpt from CEO – The Christian Entrepreneur’s Outlook

“Reading this book, you will probably get motivated to take a major faith step, but life can stare you back in the face and tell you that you are stupid to believe that God will answer your prayer. The bottom line is, GOD CAN DO IT, and He will do it if you let Him. Numbers, 23:19 states, “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”  Your entrepreneurial dream may seem impossible, but God can do it. Your finances might be in the worst shape that you have ever experienced in your life, but God can fix it. You might not have the education or the skill that you know is required to follow through on your dream, but God can supplement it. Will you trust Him to do it?”

“…exactly what I needed to hear…”

“We met at the WOW Symposium last weekend and I bought your book. I’m about halfway through it and loving it so far! So very motivational and exactly what I needed to hear coming off a slow few months this winter.  I’m so happy God placed us on the same path that day, so that I could read and benefit from your book!”

- Christine B.

“…I’ve read many inspirational and motivational books but I have to admit that this one is different…”

“I read this book once and it not only inspired me but it gave me insight into what it means to chase my dreams with God’s approval. This piece of literature has touched places in my being that have previously gone undiscovered. As an experiment on the effectiveness of the material presented in the book I have decided to read the book on a revolving basis and every time I do the inspiration is as strong as, if not stronger than the first. I’ve read many inspirational and motivational books but I have to admit that this one is different in the sense that it does a great job of directly relating God to my livelihood, which I believe will tremendously help me to achieve my goals. The book is directed to entrepreneurs but I say it’s for anyone who believes in God and has a dream.”

- Joe F.

“…right on time because I was just transitioning into business as a second career…”

“This book was a true blessing! It was also right on time because I was just transitioning into business as a second career and really didn’t know what to expect. It answered my questions and prepared me well for what was ahead. I highly recommend it.”

-Monica W.

What Every Christian Ought To Know About Starting Their Own Business with Confidence

For a long time, I was unhappy with my career.  After completing my Bachelor’s Degree, I was unsure of what to do next. Failed attempts at landing my dream job led me to work one boring customer service job after another where I was underpaid, under appreciated and…. frankly… miserable.  I doubted God’s plan for my life because I couldn’t see the end. I was frustrated with Him, mad at myself and was starting to loose hope that I would ever find satisfaction in a profitable career. What we learn in church about how God operates seems to be a lot different than what plays out in every day life.  But it’s because we apply what we THINK God wants for us and how He wants it to our thoughts and actions, essentially canceling out His will for us.  God is looking for Christians that he can break down and build up to be what He wants them to be.  Having a business doesn’t mean that things will be easy, nor does it mean that your way will be made clear, without obstacle.  What it does mean is that God is fulfilling a purpose inside of you that includes trials and tribulations as well as successes.  Our call is obedience and endurance. I wrote The Christian Entrepreneur’s Outlook because a lot of times, our faith stops short of our careers.  We believe God will heal our bodies or watch over our children, but we label our boring, thankless jobs as the only blessing we are to receive professionally. If you have a business idea that continues to tug and pull at you, that is God calling for you to step up and pursue the path that He has laid out for you. It is your faith in combination with proactive movement toward the goal that makes the difference.
