Until I had to put on a 35lb tool belt and climb a 12' ladder all day, that was when I decided something had to change. 


It was actually quite easy for me start to test and immediately see results because I was forced to plan my breakfast and pack my lunch everyday. (If I didnt plan my breakfast or pack a lunch I would have no food until dinner.) 


I started trying out different combinations of ingredients based on the research I was doing and the recipes I knew I liked.


Over the next 8 years I continued to research and experiment with nutrient planning and meal prepping, and was able to completely change my body and my outlook on health and nutrition.


Plus, in all the research I've done, I've come across or read just about every article on diabetes, heart-disease, or obesity and honestly it's sad to me what we have done to ourselves, either out of ignorance or laziness.


This is one reason why I have made it my personal life mission to educate and empower 1 million people to becoming their best selves by 2025. The other reason is a bit more difficult to tell.

At his maximum weight I would guess he weighed upwards of 400 pounds, and fluctuated 30-40 pounds every time he dieted.  He always regained the weight back though, always.  I know now that this affected his health, and had to of worn on him emotionally even though he never showed it.

In fact, I remember one time when we were on a family cruise-vacation and we had all taken the elevator to the level our rooms were on, but we had accidentally gone one level too far down. So everyone just started up the steps up to our level.  

I kind of hung back with him and I’ll be honest, it took him quite a while to get up that single flight of stairs, and by the time we got to the top he was literally sweating and out of breath.  I felt so bad for him, but he looked at me, smiled, and on we went.

I knew in that moment that despite his character and outside projection, my uncle was unhappy and he was struggling.  It became evident when he shared the news that he was going to have gastric bypass surgery to lose weight. 

This may seem extreme to you, or maybe its something you have considered.  

But I can assure you, if you’re not mentally ready to follow the steps that I explain in this book, even something as extreme as a gastric bypass will not solve your problems.  It didn’t solve Kevin’s problems.

The first time I saw him after the surgery and recovery, Kevin looked like a completely different man.  He was literally half his size, or so it seemed to me.  

I remember to this day, it was the first time I had ever seen his shirt tucked in, I could see his belt buckle shining in the sun light.  And I can’t begin to describe his face when people complimented him on how good he looked.  He was so proud.  However, this is where the changes stopped.

Yes, the surgery was an answer to changing his appearance but he never took the time to change his mind or his habits.  What this led to was the inevitable weight regain.  This was almost more shocking than the results from the surgery; in under 12 months he had gone back to his pre-op weight of 400 pounds.

This literally made me sick.  Not in disgust, but in sorrow.  I remember almost crying one night after seeing him at a family get together because I couldn’t understand how it was possible.  He went from 400 to 215 to 400 in 13 months and his health started taking a serious turn for the worse.

Then that fateful call happened.  I remember it like it was yesterday.  

My dad called me on the phone, and even though I was at work I felt compelled to answer.  I wasn’t ready for the words I was about to hear. 

“Corey, Uncle Kevin was driving for work today when he felt a pain in his chest.  He managed to call me as he pulled off the freeway, said that an ambulance was on the way and told me to tell his wife that he loved her.  When the ambulance showed up it was too late.” 
Silence hung in the air for what seemed like forever, I just wasn’t sure if what I was hearing was real.  If you have ever gotten a call about a lost loved one than I believe you can relate.  


I was not ready to receive that message, but in that moment I came to the conclusion that Kevin was to serve as an example, and that I have to do something to not let that happen to other good people. That is why I created Yo-Yo No More!
