Many people ask me if life is absolutely pre determined why do we
need to do anything at all? Why can't we just sit back and let
everything fall in place? On the other hand if our effort is of
paramount importance, why not set aside Astrology and go ahead with
full gusto? Well, Vedic Astrology and its purists will have you
believe that everything is pre determined. Yet, there is a school of
thought - to which I subscribe - that says life is a blend of the the
pre determined and that which we influence with the choices we make.
So, the good news is that you are in control, to a large extent!
There are periods more favorable for some activities and unfavorable
forsome others. You could have an entire week that's very favorable
for your career and not so favorable for travel. So you could put off
your travel plans and focus on dashing your resume across to various

Natal Astrology versus Sun Sign Astrology
Many a times those who're into sun sign horoscopes and read them as
a habit depend on them for romantic compatiblity analysis. So they go
'Oh he's a Taurus and I'm a Sagittarius and so we'll never get along!'
or ask someone if they're flirtatius and wonder, 'Aren't all Librans
supposed to be flirts'. I wonder how many great relationships never
happen thanks to these myths. Some skeptics will argue and say that
becuase it seems ridiculous tot divide the world into 12 parts (Sun
Signs) Astrology is just nonsense.
Let me tell you that you may be a Libra but you may also be a bit of
Scorpio with a dash of Capricorn and a pinch of Leo..confused? Read

Sun Sign Astrology depends on the position of the Sun in your
horoscope. The Sun moves through all 12 constellations over a period
of one year and it remains in Virgo between 22 August and 22 September
each year. So if you're born between 22 August and 22 September,
you're a Virgo. This means irrespective of when you're born or on
which day in these 30 days you're a Virgo or your Sun is in the
constellation Virgo.
Similarly If you were born between September 23 and october 22, you
would be considered a Libra because when you were born the Sun was in
the constellation 'Libra'. Now the limitation is that this takes into
account only the position of the Sun and ignores other important
planets such as Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Saturn.
Your horoscope is the map of the universe at the moment of your
birth and we revisit this map to find answers about your life and
destiny. This map stays constant and is known as your natal chart or
birth chart. Professional Natal Astrology consultation takes into
account all these planets and their positions and is not limited only
to the Sun and its position. So, it is, by far, more accurate than Sun
Sign Astrology.
So if you were born when Jupiter was in Taurus and Jupiter signifies
your career, it could maybe show some Jupiterian and Taurean
influences on your career. Similarly if you were born with your Saturn
in Leo and Saturn signifies your love life it could mean a Saturnian
and Leo influence will color your love life. This is a somewhat
simplified way of putting it as I'm not getting too technical here.
At the same time, this is not to say Sun sign horoscopes are
meaningless because the Sun is a very important planet. We wouldn't
