i.e. being a victim of the shiny red ball syndrome…

Whenever you discover the latest trick or tip, it's exciting. No doubt! It sparks a newfound motivation. You're excited. You see some quick results but the results are short-lived and the initial excitement wears off and you're left wanting more! We call this the shiny red ball syndrome.

Anything new is great, at first. You're motivated, it's different, you're intrigued to see what might come of it, and then all the excitement wears off and you're left with the same old crappy dull red ball you had before. Sounds a bit exaggerated but ultimately it's true. We all love the newest shiny red ball, but before long, it's not so shiny, it's not so cool and then we want a newer ball.

The same holds true with workout programs, training techniques, nutrition methods, supplement stacks and recovery rituals. Instead of searching for accurate, truthful, and scientifically-validated principles and theories, you're on the lookout for the next trick and tip.  




Information overload…

Let's admit it, although the Internet has helped millions, it has also confused the living daylights out of millions! Can you relate? For some, more information helps, but for most, it fails. You don't need more information! Here are three reasons why seeking more information can kill your muscle gains:

i) The ripped bodybuilder in the mags or on YouTube is actually clueless!

Here’s the problem - the Internet has no “gatekeepers”. Anyone with an Internet connection, heartbeat and a set of abs can become an “overnight expert”. We ALL know by now (or at least you should) that many of the biggest guys in the world, top pro bodybuilders and fitness models included, have NO idea how to train. Ask them why they do something and 9 out of 10 times you’ll get, “Well, it works for me…”  That doesn’t help YOU at all!

ii) Too many chefs in the kitchen!

Taking advice from too many fitness experts at once is a recipe for mediocrity. You fail to stay focused on one thing and constantly second guess yourself. Without being 100% certain of what you're doing, you'll fail to put out a 100% effort.

iii) Learning less and less about more and more!

If all you are looking for are some tips, you don’t need us! Heck, you don’t need anybody! Go to Google and type in “muscle building tips” and within 0.23 seconds you’ll have 12,300,000 search results! Have fun organizing all the tips into one logical, balanced and progressive plan though.




Lifting to impress and thinking you need to train harder…

When it comes to picking weights, I'm 100% confident that most people select their loads based on what impact it will have on those watching, not what impact it will have on the body! People go to the gym for 10 seconds of glory but when they head to the beach and take their shirt off, they go unnoticed!  

I can’t tell you how often I’ve been asked to spot a guy on bench press. I look at the weight on the bar and shake my head. I ask how many reps he’s going for and he says ‘six.’ I end up deadlifting 4 ½ of them! Ninety-nine percent of guys go to the gym to train their egos, not their muscles.

On the flip side, some guys are obsessed with just training hard. They bust their ass in the gym six times a week only to find they're the same size as last month. So they train even harder. Unfortunately, training harder often turns catabolic instead anabolic and they begin to look smaller and weaker.




Not knowing what to logically do next…

Once you successfully complete one program, what do you do next? What is the next best program to keep growing? Selecting the “wrong” program can actually result in losing some of the gains you just made, enforcing imbalances on your physique and neglecting weak links on your body. There is always an optimal next program. In Hypertrophy M.A.X. we call them Phases.

Working hard is, no doubt, a critical part of your success, but the key is to be working hard in the right direction by manipulating the right muscle building variables. Here's a small list of all the variables you must skillfully organize, balance and progress over the course of 6-12-months:

Number of reps, number of sets, rest intervals, load, training frequency, training duration, lifting speed, exercise selection, order of exercise selection, pairing of exercises, pairing of body parts etc.

Once you limit just one of these variables, plateau is inevitable. The good news is that you don't need to know how to manipulate those variables. That's our job!  




Not knowing what goal you're REALLY after…

Does this sound familiar….”I want to get huge and ripped at the same time?” Cool, we all want to get huge and ripped at the same time. The fact of the matter is YES, it IS possible to grow and get lean at the same time… but it’s very HARD! You need a very specific plan - meticulous attention to detail and super-human ability to work hard.

The real issue with wanting to do both at the same time is that you end up taking two steps forward and two steps back because one day your brain is focused on GROWING, and the next day you think you're getting fat so you focus on losing weight. We hear this all too often. It's very hard to chase two goals at once UNLESS you have a brilliant plan mapped out.

We're going to teach you exactly how to create your MAP with Hypertrophy M.A.X.!

Chasing two goals at once often results in the classic Skinny-Fat Guy Syndrome. On top of being unclear about your goals, here are two other reasons it happens:

i) Your training intensity is insufficient so you get fat.Let's put it this way: you're eating like BPak, but you're not training as hard as BPak! Result? Skinny Fat! The only reason certain pro bodybuilders and fitness models can eat so much food is because they earn those calories via their sufficiently intense workouts. They work so hard their body truly needs that amount of fuel.

ii) You're training hard but eating like a girl. Let's spin this the other way now. Most guys are simply undernourished. Almost 9 out of 10 times I'll bet my 110-pound wife eats more than the 200-pound male who's complaining about not growing!

If you ever want to showcase a head-turning physique, stop being fearful of food or gaining an ounce of fat. Food gives you fuel to train hard! The harder you train the more muscle you build. The more muscle you build the more fat that you burn off. It's a great cycle! Don't worry, we'll show you the optimal way to gain size without getting fat in the process. It's actually very easy.







Every single one of these variables is considered and utilized in Hypertrophy M.A.X. in an organized, balanced and progressive 12-month plan to guarantee you experience MAX gains.

A) Strategic Planning

Do you have a training plan? Not a training program, but a long-term plan? The definition of periodization is simple - a long-term plan! A plan is more than just a “6-week” or “12-week” workout routine. Most people you know have one of those. Typical websites and books focus on periodizing reps and sets and might help you gain 1 or 2 pounds of muscle this year. WOW! (sarcasm)

Hypertrophy M.A.X. considers every variable - not just reps and sets (intensity and volume). The variables you must apply to periodization to experience gains 365 days a year include (in no special order):

Lifting speed; rest intervals; frequency of workouts; duration of workouts; intensity of workouts; exercise selection; how many exercises per body part; how many muscle groups per workout; how many sets per body part; how many sets per exercise; order of exercises; pairing of muscle groups; intensity techniques; recovery weeks etc.

I know, it sounds like A LOT. It IS! The truth is, a few of these things will always be manipulated if you just show up at the gym and jump from random exercise to random exercise with zero direction whatsoever. But the REAL gains in size and strength come when you periodize ALL these factors. Don't worry, that's what you have us for!

Every single one of these variables is considered and utilized in Hypertrophy M.A.X. in an organized, balanced and progressive 12-month plan to guarantee you experience MAX gains.

B) Strategic Progression

Achieving max muscle size does not happen by accident. Ninety-nine percent of guys go to the gym and hope they end up gaining some muscle. Essentially, they are throwing darts at a wall blindfolded and hoping they hit something. Then they wonder why they look the same as last month!

When you know how to strategically progress your workouts from week to week and month to month there is no need to totally smash yourself every workout. Each workout should build toward the ultimate goal.

It’s always one foot in front of the other to ensure you’re moving forward. Sometimes people think they can LEAP, when in reality they will just land on unstable ground and fall on their faces. You must prepare your body for BIG changes to come. REMEMBER: your body WANTS to stay as is, in “homeostasis” (or current state). Consider our 4-phase progression model as the first lesson in making gains 365 days a year:

Week 1 Workouts - Perfect lifting technique, no missed reps, lowest amount of volume, master the tempos, no forced reps, don't worry about training at your limits, leave the gym feeling VERY fresh, under-worked .

Week 2 Workouts - Perfect lifting technique, no missed reps, medium amount of volume, tempo is still dead on, increase the loads, no forced reps, work closer to your limits, leave the gym feeling slightly fatigued but don't empty the tank.

Week 3 Workouts - Perfect lifting technique, you might miss 1 or 2 reps, highest amount of volume, increase loads again, it becomes tougher to maintain the tempo, don't seek out forced reps but they might occur, don't go crazy but strive to set some personal bests, you will feel a high level of fatigue.

Week 4 Workouts -Perfect lifting technique, you might miss 2 or 3 reps, reduce volume to same as week two but increase load again, it becomes tougher to maintain the tempo, don't seek out forced reps but they might occur, don't go crazy but strive to set some personal bests, you will feel the highest level of fatigue.

This might appear conservative, but keep in mind - learning how to progress in a safe and progressive way is exactly what is necessary to ensuring you make continuous, never-ending progress! Say goodbye to plateaus, forever!

C) Strategic Execution

Control is the currency for muscle growth. We have no problem lifting heavy weights - if it's making a difference! You can find us lifting heavy just as often as we do light, but it's all pre-planned. Oftentimes the two fastest ways to produce more muscle growth are to, i) SLOW DOWN and ii) reduce the load 50% and initiate the movement with the working muscle. This is challenging for most guys, because they go to the gym to train their egos, not their muscles.  

We all love the feeling of lifting heavy, no question! But wouldn't the feeling of growing be WAY better!? After all, that is the ultimate goal right? When you learn the true reality of how LITTLE weight you really need to lift to grow, your mind is going to be blown. Think for a moment how small a muscle is. Relative to a 100lb dumbbell…it's TINY! Inch for inch, muscles are very strong and can handle great amounts of tension.

The truth of the matter when it comes to lifting weights is that “weight” itself is the LEAST important factor with regard to actual muscle growth. Tension, Time Under Tension, Torque, and Frequency are MUCH higher up the list of importance. Never thought about it like that, did you? Well, it’s 100% true.

Now ask yourself, if you don't know exactly how to optimize these other factors how do you EVER expect to build any respectable amount of muscle?




You need a personal coach i.e. a MENTOR, to strip away the BS and keep you focused on the next step each and every day.

The truth is, you don't need to know every little detail to transform from average to astonishing.
In fact, obsessing about the details of a topic is a guaranteed way to get confused, waste time and be unsuccessful. All you need is a BURNING DESIRE TO TAKE ACTION (which you already have or else you wouldn't be here right now).

In essence, when it comes to transforming your physique, what really works can be summed up in one word: mentorship. The role of a mentor is to STRIP AWAY THE BS and tell you exactly what works.

Repeat: Mentoring is the MOST important factor to transforming your body.

Why? Because a mentor will keep you focused on one thing and one thing only - the very next step, otherwise known to Coach Ben as your “weakest link”.




Your diet must revolve around Growth Meals, Shred Meals, Recovery Meals and Freebie Meals.

All the hard work in the gym doesn't count for anything if you're not at least somewhat diligent with your dietary consumption. Again, as we will preach time and time again you MUST identify your GOAL and tailor your nutrition around it. Way too many people, both young and old, find themselves flip-flopping from eating to gain muscle, to eating to lose fat. One day you feel small and decide you need to bulk up, and then two days later your belly is bloated because you ate too many PB & J sandwiches and you decide it's time to shed some beef. All too true of life in general and also why most people never create the life they dream of.

Never lose focus of the goal. Never chase two goals at once.

Having two dichotomous goals is the best way to never get anywhere in life (it means two competing goals). For instance, wanting to get big and shredded at the same time. YES, you can get bigger and keep the same level of body fat or even lose a little fat, but no one is gaining appreciable amounts of muscle and getting shredded at the same time. Science just doesn't allow it (sorry to burst some bubbles).

Don't get me wrong, as I said you might put on weight and lose a little fat if your training is perfectly planned out and all your meals are weighed and counted. For MOST of you, (as well as me and Ben), this is just not possible 90% of the time.

If you're like me, having a precise understanding of ALL the nutritional information out there is almost impossible, but you still want a very accurate guideline to make your own decisions on the fly and get INCREDIBLE results along the way.

Hypertrophy M.A.X. Terms & Conditions For December 2014 Members

Payment

Monthly members will receive one new phase each month for 12 months (or until you cancel). Once you complete all 12 phases you will not be charged the monthly fee any longer (you do not need to cancel) but will retain access to your member site and the forum.

There are two options for payment. We do not offer any other discounts.

1.       Monthly Plan - $97USD/month

2.       Pay-in-Full - $497USD (one payment)

If you begin on the monthly plan and want to switch to the pay-in-full plan within 30 days, we will refund your Phase 1 payment (less S&H), provided you have not been charged for Phase 2 yet. If you want to switch after Phase 2, you are welcome to pay the discounted pay-in-full rate, and we will cancel your monthly payments, but we do not credit past payments.

Monthly Billing

Your monthly payment of $97USD will occur on the same day each month as the original transaction (except in cases where payment was made on the last day of the month; payment will always happen on the last day whether that is the 28th 30th or 31st).

Shipping

Each new monthly phase is processed within 7 days of payment.

Normal delivery times after processing are as follows:

Within the U.S. – 1-2 weeks

To Canada – 2-3 weeks

Defective Disks

If you receive a defective disk, please notify us at [www.hypertrophymax.com/helpdesk] within 30 days of receiving the defective disk with the following information:

-          Phase

-          What happens when you try to play the DVD.

-          Where you are attempting to view (ie, computer, DVD player, gaming system)

If we cannot find a solution for you, we will reship a replacement copy via normal delivery, free of charge, although we may ask you to return the defective disk (at your expense). If you would like priority shipping, please contact our Help Desk and we can provide you with a quote and arrange to invoice you through paypal.

Shipment Has Not Arrived

If you do not receive your monthly phase within 30 days of payment please notify us at [www.hypertrophymax.com/helpdesk]. If you notify us after 30 days, you will be required to pay a $10 charge, plus shipping (fee determined by location) for the replacement package.

Lost or Misplaced Phases

If you have lost, misplaced or damaged your DVD and/or newsletter, please notify us at [www.hypertrophymax.com/helpdesk]. We want to make sure you have access to your product so you will not be required to pay the full amount again although there will be a small charge of $10 per replacement set, plus a shipping and handling fee (determined by location).

Inappropriate Behavior

The Hypertrophy M.A.X. forums are a safe place to find information, build relationships and learn more about the program. We ask that all our members act in a genuine and respectful manner when using our forums (or interacting with staff on our Help Desk).

Any member found using bad language, bullying other members or staff, discussing illegal activity (including the use of and/or purchase of steroids), or abusing the forums in any way will be given one warning. If the behavior continues, members will be banned. Monthly members may have their Hypertrophy M.A.X. membership canceled.

Monthly Members' Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your membership at any time. If you try out the program (Primer Phase, Member Site and Forums) and decide it is not right for you, or wish to discontinue your membership during any phase in the 12-month period, simply submit a ticket through our [Help Desk].

Once we receive your request (within 48 hours) we will ask you to confirm the cancellation. You mustrespond in order for us to process your request.

If you are charged for the next phase before you confirm, and your package for that month gets shipped, we can either cancel following that phase, or you can return the package at your expense, and we will provide a refund (less S&H*) once we receive the unopened and unused package back at our warehouse (within 30 days).

We are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail so we strongly encourage you to send back your shipment with some sort of tracking so you can prove it was received at our warehouse.

Once you cancel, you will lose access to all Hypertrophy M.A.X. member sites, forums and related sites, so be sure to download any program material you need prior to making the cancellation request.

Monthly Members' Return & Refund Policy

f you decide that the Hypertrophy M.A.X. program is not right for you, or you no longer wish to continue with your membership, you may cancel within 30 days of your Phase 1 purchase and be billed nothing more. If you try out the program and decide it is not right for you, we will refund the purchase price of Phase 1 only (less S&H). Phase 1 is yours to keep as our way of saying thank you for test driving the program. Please submit a ticket through our [Help Desk].

We do not offer refunds after Phase 1, but you may cancel your membership at any point during the program (prior to being billed for your next phase).

We do not refund digital products, including Twice-A-Day Training, BPak's Top Secret Files, or the Nutrition System.


Pay-in-Full Members’ Refund & Cancellation Policy

The massive 60% discount (which works out to $41.41 per month) is offered to anyone who pays for the 12 months in full and remains an active member for all 12 months.

If you wish to cancel after Phase 1 you will be required to return the unused material and will be refunded the difference at the regular $97 retail price, NOT the $41.41 discounted rate. That rate is a reward for members who commit and complete all 12 months and is reserved only for them.

If you cancel after Phase 1 (before Jan. 31, 2015), you will be refunded $400 ($497 less the $97 monthly fee) once we receive the unused material back (Phases 2-12); if you cancel after Phase 2 (before Feb. 28, 2015) you will be refunded $303 ($497 less the $97 fee for Phase 1 and 2) once we receive the unused material back; if you cancel after Phase 3 (before March 31, 2015) you will be refunded $206 ($497 less $97 for Phases 1, 2 and 3) once we receive the unused material back etc etc.

If the returned material is deemed by our fulfillment house to have been opened and used, no refund will be provided (and you will be required to pay S&H again if you would like the DVDs sent back to you).

If you would like to cancel, please submit a ticket prior to through our [Help Desk], and we will provide instructions on returning the unused portion of the program (at your expense). We are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail so we strongly encourage you to send back your shipment with some sort of tracking so you can prove it was received at our warehouse.
