Deep Relaxation & Peace from
Knowing How to Meditate?"

At Last! Everything you ever wanted to know about Meditation - revealed!

From: Michael Griesmer
October 24

Dear Friend,

Have you ever thought that meditation could help you better handle a hectic and stressful life?

Are you interested in learning meditation for your spiritual development?

If you thinking about trying meditation for the first time, do you want a clearly-written beginner's guide to learn what to do?

If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, then this may very well be the most exciting message you've read in a long time. Here's why...

You're about to discover a concise handbook that describes why and how to mediate. And it's accessible to all, whether you are Christian, or interested in Eastern spirituality, or neither!
If you have some curiosity about meditation (which you obviously do since you found this page!), then you really ought to investigate it further.  Something in you is drawing you to this topic, so you owe it to yourself to satisfy that curiosity.

"Why and How to Mediate" could be the perfect eBook to get you started.  It's written for beginners and it's easily understandable to the average person!  But it's also a thorough introduction that will show you the benefits of meditation as well as teach you some accessible techniques.  ([You can order it here...for only $14.77](/whyandhow))

"Just the facts, ma'am"

There are many books about meditation in bookstores.  But some people aren't likely to read a 200-page book.  Or they may buy it and start reading... but they'll never get through it.  That's why I created a much shorter eBook.  It gets right to the point.

"Why and How to Mediate: Beginner's Guide to Meditation" is short (compared to a normal book) about 100 pages; it goes over the advantages and benefits you can expect to derive from meditation; and then it teaches you how to begin practicing meditation.  That's the information you're after anyway... why would you want more pages than that?  There's no fluff.

10 Bonus Videos

What's really incredible about this eBook is that there are 10 videos, embedded right within the text, that illuminate and expand upon the concepts covered.  Listening to these other meditation instructors on video and seeing their gestures and facial expressions will greatly speed up your comprehension of the material.  Plus it's so much more dynamic than just pure text.

Why and how to meditate
Includes 10 videos that give further explanations
of the topics covered!

These are actual screenshots from the 10 videos included in the eBook.
You would spend weeks on YouTube to find 10 such high-quality and on-target videos.
(I know because I did!)

Watching a video after reading a chapter gives you more information, another perspective, and it give your brain chance to learn by watching and hearing as well as reading.  Make sure you watch each video as you come to it, because you know what happens when you say, "I'll come back to it later."  You never do.

Here are just three of the things you'll learn in "Why and How to Meditate":
How to mediate for beginners.  Includes several guided meditation exercises that anyone can do.  Hint:  it's easy to tell you what to do, but it takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it. A chapter on the benefits of meditation, so that you'll be encouraged to start learning meditation... and so you'll have the inspiration to persevere when the going gets tough. What NOT to do during meditation.  For example, if you just daydream, that's not meditation.  If you just follow random thoughts that pop into your head, that's not meditation.

** We will not share your info with anyone.  Period.

You certainly do not have to practice 7 different meditation techniques on a daily basis to get the benefits of meditation.  You can just do ONE.  I give you seven so you can find the one that you like best.
Here are Just Three of the Main Things You'll Learn

ONE: Learn the benefits of meditation.  Hint:  benefits include deep relaxation, improved immune function (really), and better control over your emotions.

TWO: Finding the right location.  Separating yourself from distractions, for a while, so you can concentrate.  What to include in your meditation environment.

THREE: Discover the stages of meditation:  you'll learn that your ordinary waking consciousness is the least helpful level of mental activity, for personal transformation... and what the other two stages are.

And there's nothing like it available...not in bookstores, at Amazon.com, or even on the Internet.

With the embedded videos, and the guided meditation exercises, this is more like an EXPERIENCE of meditation, rather than a book about meditation.

Even if you're a total beginner and haven't got a clue where to start, you can learn how to do this!  "Why and How to Mediate" is written for beginners.  The videos were chosen for beginners.  The whole thrust of my efforts is to introduce beginners to the process of mediation.  Where you take it from here is your choice.  The ball is in your court.

Here's just a taste of what you'll discover...
What to do when distracting thoughts come up during meditation. A simple technique for meditation that you can do anytime, anywhere...  when you have a minute to spare, even at a red light. Recommended posture for meditation, as well as some variations, if you can't get comfortable with the recommended position. How to enter a state of mind that few people ever know about. As a beginner, how often should you meditate? and for how long? Find out exactly what meditation will do for you. Discover the two main types of meditation — how to do each one, and how to choose between them (or how to combine them) How is meditation similar to... and different from... sleeping. Discover what happens during meditation.  And experience it through guided meditation instructions. Learn the elements required for meditation. How to set the proper attitude for your meditation session. Plus much MUCH More!
Free Meditation Timers Included

If I tell you to try a certain meditation technique for 5 or 10 minutes, how are you going to know when time's up?

You could set a timer on your watch or cell phone.  You could peek at a clock every now an then.  But alarms may not sound that pleasant and keeping an eye on the time would be distracting—part of your attention would be drawn away from the object of your meditation session.  So here's what I've got for you:

I solved this problem for myself by creating an audio file (an MP3 track) that is exactly 5 minutes long.  It begins and ends with the sound of a bell, so I called it "5 min meditation 2 bells."  I'm including this audio file with your eBook.

Actually, it's a little longer than 5 minutes:  I give myself about 30 seconds of silence at the beginning so I can click "play" on the audio, walk over to my meditation spot and get comfortable before the first bell.  The bell is actually taken from a Thich Nhat Hahn meditation CD.  It's the big bell shown in the picture below:

Thich Nhat Hanh strikes the bell softly once (so you know the loud bell sound is coming), and then he strikes it full-strength.  The bell sounds for a long time, about 30 seconds, getting softer and softer on it's own.  It's really nice to listen to.

There's 5 minutes of silence before you hear him strike the bell softly and then full-strength again.  This is a signal to bring your meditation session to an end, but you can just listen to the bell resounding... you don't have to be startled and jump up to turn off an alarm.

So it's a gentle way to know that the session is ending, and it allows you to concentrate on the mediation fully during the silence in the middle.

I've also created a 10 minute version for you as well.  Use whichever one you want.

And what's really great is that...

Yes, they're from YouTube so they're freely available to the public, but you'd have to go and find them!  I've hand-picked these videos as the 10 best ones to include into a beginner's guide to meditation & I placed them in the eBook where it makes sense for you to watch them, based on what you're reading.  This will enhance and speed up your learning tremendously.

FREE Bonus 2

7 Meditation Techniques E-mail Series

Here are the techniques you'll learn, in order:  Breathing meditation, focusing on sounds, walking meditation, let thoughts dissolve (boats on a river), Tonglen, mantra, Vipassana.  All of them a written in simple English, for beginners.

2 Mediation Timers

5 minute can seem like a really long time when you are new to meditation.  You can get antsy when you're only allowed to pay attention to your breathing, for example, for that long.  So use my meditation timers to at least keep tack of the duration of your session for you.  This will help you relax and focus.

I've included all these extras to make your learning experience a lot more interesting than just reading a book!  And meditation is something you DO, it's a practice.  So I have to get you actively involved in the process, so you can start to feel the effects... in your own life.
