COMMON AILMENTS WHILE IMPROVING YOUR MEMORY AND FOCUS, INCREASING YOUR
ENERGY, NORMALIZING YOUR WEIGHT, AND IMPROVING YOUR MOOD RESULTING IN
A CALMER, HEALTHIER, STRONGER AND MORE BALANCED YOU!

DO YOU SUFFER FROM MIGRAINES, ANXIETY, HIGH LEVELS OF STRESS,
INSOMNIA, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, FATIGUE, JOINT AND MUSCLE PAIN?

What about other physical concerns such as weight gain, increasing
joint and/or muscle pain, loss of strength and balance and the
inability to simply feel good anymore?

Do these concerns in turn affect your mood, causing irritability,
frustration, and anger making the initial stress or concern worse?

Do you take medication or supplements to remedy the original concern
that may or may not work but more often than not, the side effects
result in new concerns, meaning more medication? And so the vicious
cycle continues

In today's society we are constantly reminded of how common these
issues are and are thus bombarded by solutions for them in all forms
of media, through our doctors as well as family and friends. Many of
these so-dubbed solutions involve popping enough pills to rattle or
change the way we eat/act/think. Others have chosen simply give up and
deal with these issues as part of a normal life in the 21st century
since nothing has offered one simple solution to everything.

The most annoying and frustrating part in all of this is the complete
helplessness that can result when you feel as though you've exhausted
all your options, and yet are still plagued by the original concern.

IF ANY OR ALL OF THESE SYMPTOMS RELATE TO YOU, HAVE YOU CONSIDERED
TRYING THE SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN, LONG TERM WAY TO RID YOURSELF OF
THESE CONDITIONS WITHOUT THE RISK OF SIDE EFFECTS?

Yoga has been practiced for centuries in various parts of the world
yet has become much more prevalent in Western society as of late.
While many write this methodology off as simply a fad, or worse, as a
new religion hoping to gain traction and eradicate more traditional
religions, yoga has in fact been scientifically proven to help with
all of the abovementioned ailments and concerns and more.

It should be noted that yoga is not a magic bullet. It requires
committed practice on a regular basis for the effects to be felt fully
and long term; however, the results can be truly life changing.

YEAH, RIGHT? BALANCING ON MY HEAD WILL SOLVE MY HEADACHES? OR ANXIETY,
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, STRESS AND FATIGUE?

It may sound counter intuitive but the key is to understand that yoga
is a lot more than simply practicing balance poses that require insane
amounts of physical strength. Although yoga can help with that too.

Yoga is simply a way to approach things, a way of thinking and being
that with practice results in a clear and focused mind, stronger body,
and a greater sense of overall wellbeing that seems to be so lacking
these days.

By practicing the tenets of yoga, you become healthier in both body
and mind, meaning many health concerns you might currently face are
negated or lessened. For example, yoga is scientifically proven to
help those who practice deal with all kinds of stress and better
relax, resulting in decreasing or removing stress-related concerns
such as high blood pressure, the risk of heart attacks, insomnia, low
energy levels, and the list goes on. Without these concerns, you are
more able to live life to the fullest without the nagging ailments
that lower your quality of life at the moment.

SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF PRACTICING YOGA:

MIGRAINES, MIGRAINES, MIGRAINES AND ENOUGH MEDICATION TO RATTLE LIKE A
PILL BOTTLE.

The following is a personal testament to the positive payback from
practicing yoga:

"I'm in my mid-twenties and a few years ago started to experience
migraines on a regular basis. My family lives in an area known for its
changeable weather and this was one of the causes of them. Stress was
another cause and even the slight smell of something like gasoline
would result in full-on light and sound sensitive, nausea-inducing
pain.

The pain was the worst in the spring and fall when the weather is at
its most unstable and so I spent a few seasons taking enough
painkillers to rattle, while the pain began to affect my life for the
worse. I was talking to my doctor and trying something new every few
months since the effects of ibuprofen quickly became negated by me
taking heavy doses. One of the medications prescribed left me with the
shakes, insomnia, depressed thoughts and so thoroughly affected my
circulatory system that I was consistently cold, regardless of how
many layers I was wearing.

Regardless of the side effects of the medication, the pain itself was
enough to send me to bed for the rest of the day and by this point was
occurring every few days as the stress level increased in the final
semester of university. Friends suggested yoga and I tried it but not
on a regular basis due to equal parts skepticism and an irregular
schedule of someone trying to work and study full time. I continued to
deal with the pain the best I knew how, which involved large amounts
of medication and sleep.

The worst came when I graduated and got a job as a project manager.
Between being on call almost 24/7, reporting to a boss who had no clue
how to manage an organisation and dealing with clients with impossible
expectations, I felt the stress increase. And so did my migraines in
frequency and intensity. Sleep was not an option when working 60 hours
a week and neither was taking painkillers that left me drowsy or sick
to my stomach. I simply worked through them, trying to ignore the
lights of the office or the computer screen and hoped something would
give.

At this point, so desperate to try something, anything that would
work, I started practicing yoga with the fervour of someone possessed
at times. And it worked. After a few weeks of practicing yoga because
I felt I had to, I started to practice because I wanted to. I was much
more innately calm and the stress seemed to just melt away when
thinking about my sessions. This made the world of difference to my
migraines and they began to lessen in frequency again and the
intensity was reduced to where I was able to simply take ibuprofen
again.

While I do still feel it slightly when the weather changes, in no way
is my life affected by migraines as it once was. I feel like a
completely different person, a drastically improved version of me. And
my only regret is that I didn't begin practicing sooner"
