See what these 7 amazing guys have experienced for yourself. They tell all in a series of very frank interviews that will encourage and inspire you.
The following is an extract from “Lennies” interview - When I was 56 my doctor did a digital examination at my medical check-up and saw some prostate problem. He did a blood test which had shown my [prostate-specific antigen](http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/457394-overview) (PSA) was high. On the biopsy he saw small amounts of cancer. The diagnosis was low grade prostate cancer.  Lenny is now 70.
Yes there it is just below your bladder
The Prostate is actually a gland that wraps around the urethra. When a man ejaculates it provides the milky fluid which the semen swims in. It is normally about the size of a walnut and is cone shaped.

7 Real Prostate
Survivor’s Stories
An absolute must-read for those who may be experiencing Prostate problems themselves or be with someone who is undergoing the “Prostate” experience.

I have read the 7 Real Prostate Survivors Stories and found that it really helped me to have a more rounded view of living with prostate cancer. Dealing with a serious disease is not just about diagnosis and cure.

David Seagrave – Folksworth Cambridgeshire UK

Hi my name is Glen Foster

I am as I write this book 52 years old married with two teenage kids. I do not have prostate cancer! So why write a book about prostate? Well the truth is I did not write the book, 7 really great guys were gracious enough to tell all and I now present it to you because I think this is an important subject.

Before we go any further let me make this clear – I am not a doctor nor am I making any claims or recommendations about cures or remedies.
Yes that’s what digital exam really means – it is not a big deal guys. They do wear gloves.
My Dad has an enlarged prostate, my father-in- law has prostate cancer, my neighbour has had the operation and I wanted to know more about it. I am glad that I did find out more!

I recently had a prostate test digitally and would have to say my doctor was fantastic and made it easy – it was over in a second. No fuss no pain or embarrassment. (I passed the test by the way!)

About a year ago I had a colonoscopy. Why – because I failed the test where you smear a tiny piece of poo on a test film. There was evidence of blood. So I was bundled into hospital quick smart to find out why. To cut a long story short they knock you out and insert a camera up your rear end and have a good look at your intestines to see if they can find a polyp. They did (it was bleeding) which they removed because these little nasty things turn into cancer over time. The whole experience was a testimony to the hospital because they were brilliant. You don’t have time to feel embarrassed.

So I have a proven predisposition to the dreaded big C and a bit of family history to suggest I should pay attention. I wonder how many of you reading this can relate to my position or already have direct evidence of a problem.

With all of this in mind I did my research on the net and found out some amazing facts like these.

Breast Cancer is linked
to Prostate Cancer

1 in 10000 men under the age of 40 develop prostate cancer 1 in 8 men develop prostate cancer between the ages 60 – 80 Men with female relatives who have breast cancer are at a higher risk level More men have Prostate cancer than women with breast cancer – big difference in awareness publicity Many men die with prostate cancer – not from it! Testosterone does not cause prostate cancer Testosterone is essential for Prostate cancer to develop. Castration is one way to remove testosterone (Every man will hate that idea for obvious reasons and it is not recommended) A diet high in fats is “thought” to increase testosterone Prostate cancer takes a long time to develop, often a watchful waiting strategy is employed by doctors as treatment Could be a candidate
Sorry to say guys the incidence is higher for black men (I trust you understand that has no racist connotations or intent whatsoever)
Men with three first degree relatives who have prostate cancer have a ten times higher risk of developing it themselves Lack of exercise is thought to be a contributing factor
So while I found out those amazing facts listed above and a lot about what the prostate actually is relatively easily on the net, what it meant, or how it felt proved to be more elusive. I really wanted to know more about how it felt living and dealing with an angry prostate every day.

At 52 I am at the age where things do start to develop. I am not going to worry myself into an early grave but I am going to seek some reassurance that life is actually pretty good even if you do get it. I thought others would also be interested in my findings.

I seriously doubt his need to pee
was Prostate related

I had an interesting discussion with a mate who has had the operation for prostate cancer and who is still recovering. He told me that he often has to pee immediately. He jumped out of his car the other day and had to pee in a garden because he could not get to a toilet in time. He was seen and was a little embarrassed by that but realises sometimes you have no choice. Discussing that incident with him I asked him if it was a bit like having diarrhoea from the other end and he agreed that was exactly how he felt about it.
Clearly if there is any doubt
- Get it checked out!
Did you know early prostate cancer is usually completely asymptomatic? (Asymptomatic – means there are no symptoms) that is just a bit scary! By the time that symptoms become obvious, bothersome or clinically apparent the cancer has spread outside the prostate capsule. The worst part is that it is then much harder to sort out or fix.

The following symptoms of prostate cancer are worthy of note.
Related to the primary tumour Asymptomatic, Poor stream, Retention of urine, Urgency, Frequency and blood in the urine Related to secondary tumours Pain in the back and pelvis bones, Cancer related fractures, Enlarged Lymph glands can cause swelling in the legs, Kidney failure General effects of malignancy Weight loss, Tiredness, Malaise, Anaemia, Loss of appetite So how do you feel?Below is an extract from Daniels story. Daniel claims being diagnosed with prostate cancer has brought clarity to his life. “After facing the possibility of death your priorities suddenly reshuffle. What you thought seemed important one day, becomes trivial when you look back. Other things that you have always taken for granted slide up to the top of the list, and you become glad that such an event happened, giving you a sort of 'slap' or wake up call.”

How Much This Will Cost

I could easily sell this book for well over $100 – and it would still represent terrific value to the buyer.

It has taken a lot of time and effort to locate the interviewees, record their stories and then transcribe them for you. If you added up the hundreds of hours of my time (There is a real opportunity cost element here) and some real costs such as equipment used & travel expenses then it gets significant. When you consider it is difficult if not impossible to price real experiences the reality is I should charge thousands of dollars. Relax I am not that unrealistic. In fact I am only going to charge $49 for each book. I wanted to keep the price very reasonable and affordable. So for the price of a couple of bottles of reasonable wine or a meal out for one … you can enjoy my book and the special bonuses for life. $49 that’s all it will cost.
