weight, but no matter what you do you do not succeed in staying on a
diet..

My name is Ofira Shaul and I want to share with you my personal story
which led me to the most meaningful discovery which has influenced my
life and, as a consequence the lives of thousands of other people.

I TOO WAS IN THIS PLACE.  I LOST COMPLETE CONTROL OF MY EATING
HABITS AND MY BODY!

During a twenty-year time period, from the time I was 13 years old, I
was in:

* A deep cycle of diets
* An endless and desperate battle of weight-loss and weight-gain
* So much suffering over my weight and my eating, that only
exacerbate with time.

I was obsessed with my figure, my weight, uncontrolled eating and
periodic eating binges that just got worse and worse, periods of
physical inactivity and periods of obsessive physical activity, my
weight kept going up and down —I felt as though I was on a
frightening "roller coaster" ride.

And the saddest part was MY EXTREMELY LOW SELF-IMAGE and the feeling
of ongoing failure and helplessness I experienced, while I continued
having this uncontrollable urge for food.

I was desperate, because this is what I thought the rest of my life
would be like. I thought that this was hereditary and that I just
didn't have any luck.

In spite of all the suffering from the many trials, and in spite of
the fact that I was disappointed after each diet when I regained the
weight, I FELT THAT I HAD TO CONTINUE DIETING, BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY
HAD TO BE THIN, otherwise "I will never succeed in life and feel
successful." 

I remember occasionally talking to myself about this subject, saying:


There must be a :

* NATURAL,
* EASY,
* EFFECTIVE WAY TO DEAL WITH MY UNCONTROLLED EATING AND WITH MY
REPEATED WEIGHT GAIN!

I even remember feeling jealousy towards thin people, especially
those who were "naturally thin" — there were only two of them among
my group of friends, that even when they ate gobs of food or sweets,
they never gained weight, and I thought to myself:

* How is it possible for them to eat whatever they want, whatever
appeals to them, and in great quantities and they don't get fat?
* What do they have that I don't?

This subject bothered me so much, that I knew I would never find
peace until I found a way to solve my weight problem.  I had no idea
how or even if this was possible, but I was not ready to accept that
this is how I would be and will waste away my life.

So, when I heard of a new approach that could solve my obsessive
eating and overweight problem, even though it didn't sound logical to
me initially, I immediately jumped at the chance.  I did not let my
natural skepticism interfere. One might say that I was sufficiently
desperate to dedicate myself to it...

Since then, for the past 25 years, I HAVE NOT NEEDED DIETS OR TO
"WATCH" MY WEIGHT”, because:

I LEARNED THE SECRETS OF BEING NATURALLY THIN! 

And, all this took place in a short period of time, relative to the
many years I suffered,  in the most fascinating process, where I
learned and got many more achievements, far more than just weight
loss.

MY LIFE CHANGED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AS A RESULT.

And, then I came to a decision in my heart, that what I did and the
success I arrived to, after such a long struggle, I would like to pass
on to others, and that is how this mission was born: to enable as many
people as possible to be FREE of their daily struggle with food and
overeating and to embark on a new life.

Overweight, uncontrolled eating, lack of energy or even illnesses
—are really not meant to be part of your life.

You were born with the potential to maintain a stable weight, with a
healthy mechanism for eating, and to be healthy, in order to enjoy
what life gives you, and to be able to maximize what life has to offer
- TO ENJOY AND EXPERIENCE EVERY MOMENT.

That is why your wonderful body was created with its fantastic
systems, whose sole functions are to maintain a stable weight with a
natural eating mechanism and a healthy digestive system, to keep you
strong and energetic.

There are many people all over the world who have decided to stop
dieting, since they have come to realize how important it is for their
emotional and physical health.
These people who are fully aware, those who are healthy and full of
energy understand what they need to do if they want to maintain a
stable weight and their health. They understand it and they do what's
needed every moment and every day.

* THEY ARE READY TO LOOK REALITY IN THE FACE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
FOR THEIR SITUATION
* THEY ARE WILLING TO DO WHAT IS NECESSARY AND NOT WHAT IS
COMFORTABLE
* THEY EXPAND THEIR AWARENESS

People who are ready to face reality and take responsibility for
their situation understand that after so many dieting attempts over
the years, to continue to do what they have already done and expect
different results is CRAZY. 

THEY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND ACT DIFFERENTLY TO GET DIFFERENT
RESULTS.

THERE ARE MANY REASONS WHY NOT TO DO WHAT EVERYONE KNOWS MUST BE
DONE:

* "I work hard and don't have any time"
* "I'm in a very busy period of my life, perhaps another time when I
am more available"
* "It's too hard when I have small children at home"
* "I'm too busy renovating my home"
* "I'm a lost cause, perhaps I just have to accept my situation, and
live with it"
* "I can't stop eating, I tried in the past, and it didn't work"

WHEN DO WE WAKE UP TO REALIZE THAT WE ARE READY TO ACT!?

People who want to make a real change understand that what is
demanded of them is to do what is needed and not necessarily what is
comfortable.
And they are willing to invest in themselves and do it.

UPS AND DOWNS OF WEIGHT AND UNCONTROLLED EATING ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO
BE PART OF YOUR LIFE.

For years, I was on diets, counting calories, but in spite of that I
did not achieve a stable weight.  For many years I accepted this as a
fact, as part of my life. 

I even joined the Overeaters Anonymous and understood and came to
believe that I was afflicted with a "disease", an uncontrolled eating
disease and a tendency to obesity and that is my fate for the
remainder of my life. 
Finally there was a 'name' for my problem. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD:

* That I had a tendency towards overweight and would always need to
watch my weight
* That if I permit myself to eat what I love, I will never be able
to stop
* That from the minute I developed the problem of being overweight,
it would never disappear — because "my cells are already fat"
* That my addiction to food was an illness and one that is
impossible to cure
* That I have a "large bone structure" and therefore I will always
be fat
* I had to count calories in order to control my eating and maintain
the desired weight
* That  what I most love to eat is what is most addicting and
fattening, and as such, I must avoid it
* I was told and I was told… many things....

What happened is that I received a distorted picture of my overweight
problem —as if there are those who have been sentenced to be fat and
others who have been lucky to be thin.

THANKFULLY, I WAS EXPOSED THIS NEW APPROACH AND I WAS OPEN MINDED
ENOUGH TO LISTEN TO AND IMPLEMENT.

Our best teacher is the test results. If other people have succeeded
at something that we want — IT’S A SIGN THAT IT is possible for us
as well.

* If other people have succeeded in freeing themselves forever from
uncontrolled eating — IT'S A SIGN THAT IT IS POSSIBLE.
* If other people have succeeded in losing weight without dieting or
counting calories — IT'S A SIGN THAT IT IS POSSIBLE.
* If other people eat what they love, including bread or sweets,
etc., and in spite of that lose weight —IT'S A SIGN THAT IT IS
POSSIBLE.
* If there are adults who did not get fat while getting older and
continued to maintain a steady weight —IT'S A SIGN THAT IT IS
POSSIBLE.

PEOPLE, WHO WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE, UNDERSTAND THAT IN ORDER TO
SUCCEED THEY MUST BROADEN THEIR AWARENESS AND LEARN FROM EXPERTS IN
THE FIELD.

* In spite of her initial objections, she was nevertheless ready,
after so many dieting attempts, to face reality and take
responsibility for her situation and act differently  in order to
solve her weight problem once and for all.
* She was ready to do what was necessary, not just what was
comfortable.  And, it wasn't always easy, but from the moment that
she made the commitment, she decided to remain dedicated to herself
and to make the necessary changes, even if, at times, it was not that
comfortable.
* One thing that Sivan talks about is the process of broadening her
awareness and the change in thinking patterns she experienced. It was
so exciting for her, that she immediately applied this to other areas
in her life.
