In 1963 James T. Mangan (1896-1970) wrote a book titled, "_THE
SECRET OF PERFECT LIVING_." In his book Mangan conducted direct
investigations and experiments on a new technology he discovered in
1951 called, "Switchwords". Mangan studied hundreds of cases where
switchwords had produced near miraculous results.
Mangan discovered that using a single word as an affirmation could

Last night while out for dinner, a waitress spilled her entire tray

WHAT MAKES THE POWERSWITCH VIDEO SYSTEM SO POWERFUL?
#1 - AFFIRMATIONS AND AUTOSUGGESTION
An Affirmation (from the Latin Affirmare, to assert) is the
declaration that something is true.
In spirituality and personal development an affirmation is a form
of autosuggestion in which a statement of a desirable intention the
mind is deliberately meditated on or repeated in order to implant it
in the mind.
Affirmation could be viewed positively as a mobilization of one's
inner resources.
Believers advise a general approach to self-improving statements;
for instance, "I am making more room in my life for success every day"
is considered a much wiser affirmation than "I will win the lottery
today!"
_ AFFIRMATIONS ARE AN EFFECTIVE METHOD OF PROGRAMMING OR
REPROGRAMMING THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. THEY APPEAR TO BE MOST EFFECTIVE
WHEN REPEATED IN A QUIET AND RESTFUL STATE OF MIND AND BODY. _
Perhaps the most often used and well known affirmation is the word
"Amen" which can be translated simply, "so be it". Affirming the truth
of whatever was written or said immediately prior.
Autosuggestion is a process by which an individual trains the
Subconscious Mind to believe something, or systematically alter one's
mental associations, usually for a given purpose.
The acceptance of autosuggestion may be quickened through mental
visualizations of that which the individual would like to believe.
It's success is typically correlated with the consistency of it's use
and the length of time over which it is used.
Autosuggestion is most commonly accomplished by presenting (either
through caressing or bombarding) one's subconscious mind with
repetitive thoughts, until those thoughts become internalized.
Practitioners typically hope to transmute thoughts into beliefs and
actualities.
Visualizing the manifestations of a belief, verbally affirming it,
and using ones "internal voice", are typical means of influencing
one's mind via repetitive autosuggestion.
The dominate thoughts that occupy a person's Conscious Mind, if
constantly present over an extended period of time, may have the
effect of training that person's Subconscious Mind to organize that
individual's beliefs according to those thoughts.
#2 - SWITCHWORD AFFIRMATIONS
_Switchwords are special words that act like a "switch" that can be
used to align the conscious and subconscious minds to achieve a
desired goal. _Our Subconscious Mind contains every experience we have
ever had, believed, dreamed, imagined or felt.
If want, desire and belief are present, Mangan believed that the one
work switch or Switchword could manifest any desire or eliminate
distress almost at will. More than 50 years of intensive study and
thousands of experiments with people from all walks of life have gone
in to the creation of Switchwords.
In his book "SWITCHWORDS - EASILY GIVE TO YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT IN
LIFE", Guru Shunyam Nirav introduced the concept of combining
Switchwords to achieve maximum results. Where Mangan's experiments
focused on the used of a single worked to activate the subconscious
machine, Nirav created a Switchword "string" that also sets the
subconscious machinery into targeted motion toward a desired goal or

#3 - ALPHA BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT
As you become more relaxed, your brain wave activity slows into
what is called an Alpha brain wave pattern. Alpha patterns vary from
deep Alpha, a state of deep relaxation often referred to as the
twilight state between sleep and waking, to the higher end of Alpha
which is a more focused yet stilled very relaxed state. When you are
absorbed in a good book or TV program you are most likely in an Alpha
state. The Alpha state is often associated with what is known as
"Superlearning", the ability to learn, process, store, and recall
large amounts of information quickly and efficiently.
Alpha brainwaves are one of four basic brainwave patterns (delta,
theta, alpha, beta), which make up the EEG. These four brainwaves are
all oscillating electrical voltages in the brain, but are tiny
voltages, only a few millionths of a volt. Alpha brainwaves oscillate
about 10 times per second and the range is 8-13 cycles per second.
One useful metaphor compares the four basic brainwaves (delta,
theta, alpha, beta) with the four gears on a car. Delta waves are the
slowest so they are the first gear. Theta waves are the second gear.
Alpha waves are the third gear and Beta waves are the fourth gear. No
one gear is best for every driving situation and no one brainwave is
best for all of the situations of life.
Alpha brainwave production is an innate skill of our brains but the
consequence of the modern stressful lifestyle is that we forget how to
produce alpha brainwaves. When we fall victim to anxiety and
stress-related diseases there is a measurable reduction in the
strength of our immune systems. People who have more alpha brainwaves
have less anxiety. Thus having more alpha waves could mean less
anxiety and correspondingly, stronger immune systems.
Scientist have shown that tightly creative people have different
brain waves from normal and non-creative people. In order to have a
creative inspiration, your brain needs to be able to generate a big
burst of alpha brainwaves, mostly on the left side of the brain. The
brains of creative people can generate these big alpha brainwave
bursts, and do so when they are faced with problems to solve. Normal
and non-creative people do not increase alpha brainwave production
when they are faced with problems so they can not come up with
creative ideas and solutions.
One way to increase creativity is to increase alpha brainwave
production.
#4 - SUBLIMINAL MESSAGING?
In 1957, James Vicary, a Market Researcher, claimed that quickly
flashing messages on a movie screen had influenced people to purchase
more food and drink. Because of public outcry, the practice was banned
in the UK, Australia and the US. In 1962, Vicary admitted that he
fabricated his claim and further experiments never caused a noticeable
increase in consumption of foods or drinks.
That was until 2005. A study by Dr. Johan Karremans at the
University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands and his colleagues wanted to
see if they could subliminally induce volunteers to favor a particular
brand of drink, Lipton Ice. For comparison, they chose a brand of
mineral water called Spa Rood, as it was deemed to be as well known as
Lipton Ice and equally thirst-quenching.
The researchers asked 61 volunteers to perform a nonsense task -
counting how many times a string of capital 'B's was infiltrated by a
lower-case 'b' as they flashed upon a screen. The 'B' strings appeared
for 300 milliseconds each, and before them, a string of 'X's always
appeared, flanking a 23-millisecond subliminal message. For the
experimental group, the message was 'Lipton Ice'. For the controls,
the message was 'Nipeic Tol'.
When the volunteers had completed this task, they were asked to
choose between Lipton Ice and Spa Rood by clicking one of two keys,
though they were told this was a part of a separate study. The
volunteers were also asked how likely they would be to order either of
these drinks if they were sitting on a terrace, and to rate how
thirsty they were. _VOLUNTEERS WHO RATED THEMSELVES AS THIRSTY WERE
MORE LIKELY TO CHOOSE LIPTON ICE, _BUT ONLY IF THEY HAD RECEIVED THE
SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE.
In a second study the researchers made half of their 105 volunteers
thirsty by giving them a very salty candy before the task. As
predicted, among the thirsty, subliminal messaging had an impact.
Eighty percent of thirsty volunteers who had been exposed to the
Lipton Ice subliminal message chose that product compared to just 20%
of the controls.
"Eight percent of thirsty volunteers who had been exposed to Lipton
Ice subliminal message chose that product" The thirstier volunteers
rated themselves to be, the more likely they were to choose Lipton
Ice. Those who were not thirsty were only slightly more likely to pick
the iced tea (Journal of Experimental Social Psychology DOI:

homework. I had Mangan's book in my library, up to some years ago, it
disappeared. I have been looking for his book for sometime now (8
years) quite recently, coincidentally, I came across a hypnotist from
New Jersey who mentioned the title of Mangan's book... I found that it
is now out of print. I was able to locate a current issue of his book.
I also came across the same information on Guru's book from the same
source. Quite interestingly I have been having a lot of synergistic
